This is SO great and such a wonderful and helpful way to show us yarns! Also Glenda this shows how much you actually care about your viewers. This takes time and effort on your part and I appreciate you very much. Thank you 👏🏻😊👏🏻
This is a great idea. Rarely TH-camrs create swatches and then it is to talk about how the yarn feels like to work with, so the swatch is usually too small to see the effect if they use variegated or ombre at all. Some websites or yarn bands may show a thumbnail of what the yarn looks like knitted, but as we all know, it's often quite different when crocheted: I guess the army of knitters is so much bigger because yarn companies keep ignoring us when they design colorways.
I love using variegated yarns . I usually do a double stitch and showing single stitch is so different . I never thought to try the pooling yarns . I think the yarn swatch series is a great way to see new yarns . Love and Hugs .
I agree with Red Heart's durability! Afghans from the 70s-90s still holding up well!! I find it often depends on color or batch, sometimes you get some that is more rough, but nothing that washing and use won't soften out 🧶🧶
I absolutely loved this! Your videos are always a blessing to me, as I am sure I am not the only person who feels this way. You are such an inspiration to me Thank you so much. I lost my the love of my life, my best friend, my soulmate. Back in 2014, then I came to live with my parents at their request to help care for them, now dad is gone and I am caring for my mom. So I decided I needed to close another chapter in my life, and what better way to start a new one than with a Beautiful Grandma's Garden Afghan. As my first project, I am on square 2 of 20, so I am sure that God led me to your channel. Thank you many Blessings to you, Keep well and be safe. Thanks Again for all you do to teach all of us. Beautiful afghan and pretty color choice, enjoy. Great idea to begin an in-depth look at yarn and the sample worked up. I hope you are feeling better each day from your surgery, thank you,for sharing your time.💐
Loved seeing all the different swatches. It really does change the look with the different stitches. This series is going to be fun. Thanks for sharing. 🧶
Yes I love them! As a newbie to crocheting at 65 yrs old. I really appreciate the tutorials of samples of the varigated yarns along with different stitches used and how they turn out! Thank you!
Hi Glenda...grateful that you are doing better!!! I absolutely love this series!!! When you buy colors of variegated yarns that you like, you don’t know how they will look...you just like the colors. Thanks to your genius of an idea...now we will have somewhat of an idea...wonderful idea...thanks for investing your time and all that you do for us!!! TFS

I love this new series!! What a great idea. It’s amazing how the yarn can change from the skein to being worked up. Thank you for doing this. I’m a very visual person so this really helps. 💐
Thank you Glenda. Sometimes I won’t buy a yarn just because I don’t know if I’m going to like it. With this series I can decide before I go to the store.
This is a great idea! I love this! It can be very helpful when picking yarn AND stitches. Thank you, Glenda for taking the time to do this and share it with us. God Bless!
Jean Austin I am new to watching crochet programing on any internet program. I have not seen many programs and now I'm trying to catch up ...hahaha, by saving every program that I watch, which is a total of two, you and Crystal of "Bag-O-Day". I find that I learn so much from the two of you that I can't watch them as much as you both have of teaching video's. I appreciate both of you very much. I find that by listening and watching you both I can absorb more information. Thank you. P.S. I hope that you continue to heal from you surgery and will continue to pray for you and your family.
This is a public service video! It's going to save lots of us time/indecision about which yarns to purchase. What a great idea &, of course, great execution of that idea. Your comfy winter blanky is beautiful!!
I like this new series... you are so right with seeing a yarn swatch crocheted. Also..you are looking well and that makes me feel good for you. Thankx for everything 🧶😎
This certainly helps! I can't tell you the number of times I've been disappointed with the yarn after it comes home. It looks so lovely in the skein and then.... This series is going to be so very, very useful!! Thank you!!!

I think that this series is going to help people not be so confused as to what it’s gonna look like. I think that when you say hombre I’m thinking dark to light in the same color and not different colors all together. Thank you so much.
I really like this new format. One never knows what the yarn will look like until its worked up and then its really too late. I appreciate that you are doing this

Thank you Glenda for doing this series. I'm not a big fan of variegated yarns but seeing the sample you worked up was a big help. I actually saw a couple of colors that I might try. Can't wait for the next episode.
Yes, I love this new series. I have a few of those yarns you showed and I like the idea of seeing what it is worked up because it gives me ideas on what to make. I don't do pooling so anything else would work for me. I will be watching for more of these.
I’m loving this series and this is just the first video! So glad you can show us how these yarns work up. Can’t wait for more! Thank you for all your tutorials and videos.❤️❤️
