This was my experience in a nutshell. Without realizing it, I took advantage of a woman who was my best friend, because my religious parents told me who to be and that what I felt was sinful, and without realizing what was happening. That was 25 years ago... if that had happened today, I would have had the courage and support to express who I was without fear and would have saved her from that torment.
Sadly, I know people to this day still being rejected by their families and having to figure it out once they get out of their family homes. Still, it's a lot better now and at least there are more resources that people can find a safe space if not at home. I'm sorry that you and anyone else in the world has to feel that way. I hope you surround yourself with love, kindness and people who accept you now.
It breaks my heart when people can’t tell the people close to them something so important. It saddens me how many people take their lives because they’re afraid of what their friends and family will think or they have already turned them away. You may not agree with what your children do, but in my opinion, you should always support them.
I think people just didn't label themselves. I'm 40 and just found out so many family members (elderly) are/were gay/bi. They just had families and go on with it. Lol
My overall favorite episode is the one called “Last Ex to Brooklyn”. Everything about that episode is hilarious. It’s the one where Leo’s ex Diane comes to dinner at Grace and Leo’s house. Some of my favorite lines from it or when they talk about Diane riding the Truman train. And Leo says “ Truman train? She only had one passenger.” And Will says “Yes, but at least she got off.” 😂
Isn't it great? I love Debra Messing -- brilliant comedic actor. And when her sister was like, "Grace, you ruin EVERYTHING" and the crying face reappeared... I lost it. LOL.
Uh, the stereotypical hyper fem gay Jack did a lot to actually hurt the "gay" image. Whilst entertaining for television, it does not represent most men who are sexually attracted to other men.
This is the weirdest and most unrealistic scene in tv history Not only so-called gays have absolutely no sex appeal to women but women in general won’t go anywhere near them. I knew several in high school and uni ( and have several colleagues at work and I can guarantee no woman has ever been panting for them ever. Erik for instance was picked to play the part because he’s handsome and a good actor but he just doesn’t look or sound gay, he’s a heterosexual Now the other one doesn’t even have to speak to tell everyone he’s gay, he’s got too much of that … quality
You think all gays look and act a certain way? You are so off base,it’s laughable! It’s not a physical attribute, and doesn’t affect how a person acts. There are well known sports players out there who recently came out,and not one single person had guessed. Actors and musicians who also came out to the surprise of many. I’ve known many in my lifetime, and never knew until they told me. I had a major crush on one,and we became best friends when he told me. People thought we were a couple, and I never told them any different. One of my friends was a lawyer, and I never knew until he introduced me to his new boyfriend. Some are camp, most are not. Just like you aren’t like every other person,a gay person isn’t like other gay people. They’re their own individual self.

Stop sweating it. Chicks always hate you after you don’t want to have sex with them. ~Straight Guy

Always great to watch the sitcoms' throwback "how all begun" episodes😊
Yeah i love those, in That '70 Show too.
Grace with that asymmetrical 😂😂😂
And that goofy laugh lol she’s always snorting lol
That entire sequence from Will coming out to Grace to Grace crying about it with Ellen is a masterpiece, the show was on fire at this point.
Well, this is the episode that got Eric McCormack an Emmy, and well deserved!
“Grace. You ruin everything.” 😂
Best episode of the entire series.
“Julius, I owe you 20 bucks!” 🤣 Best W&G episode EVER.

If you ever feel dumb just think about how my grandpa watched several seasons of this show and didn't realise there were gay characters in it.

Such a painful episode. Will is suffering with his identity, and Grace is just a mess.

No Karen Cut Aways
That's because they didn't know Karen then, as this was a flashback for Will & Grace in the 1980's....
Yes?…and
Karen is not relevant to this story
