Belisarius is saved as my alarm clock and I had to give my mom a two hour lecture because she asked why am I listening arabic music? I had to explain why it is not Arabic and basically differences in music culture but then I found the video where you talk about the music cultures and sent it to her. But she still doesn't like the fact that Belisarius is my alarm clock.

You underappreciate yourself. Yeah, it is "just actual folk music" but it's you who is making it come to light AND creating new pieces along with all the great artists you are working with. Despite the fact that I like folk music and have listened to various kinds of folk music from many different countries I would have never thought to listen to Iranian folk music out of my own volition. Even with the folk that I already listened to like the Greek folk music it was never on such a scale. I even had no idea that there was such a big difference between the various regions of Greece! There is also the fact that almost all your songs tell a story (like many folk songs do) and you make those stories come to life. It is increadibly Opera-like and is propably one of the first time outside of an Opera I have listened to music and actually thought about the story being told. Keep up the good work, the path to 1 million subscribers is wide open for you.

Congrats Farya! To many more subscribers and many more fantastic songs!! Hopefully we'll get one day the full Akritas-Song from your Varangian Symphony! ;-)
Farya, I legit recommend you to every person I possibly can. My Latin teacher back in high school still listens to you. I'm so glad I accidentally stumbled upon you when three years ago, I researched Ancient Roman war chants and yours were the only ones that sounded good and legitimate.
Your music inspires me everyday, you literally became my favorite musician and happy to see that you've reached 300k subscribers already! Congratulations man, you absolutely deserve this and way more!
Ever since I’ve listened to “I am Cyrus”, since then I’ve been obsessed with your music and songs, I thank you for all your efforts and hard work, congratulations farya❤
"They had bagpipes, fuck you!" is the energy we need in 2025. I hope this doesn't come off as patronizing that's not my intent. You deserve to be proud of what you're doing, you claim you're just the messenger but if not for the messenger the message dies. By putting this amazing music out there you're sharing something that seems to lay at the core of humanity, I'm willing to bet that we were creating music before we were human. Thank you for doing all of the hard work to bring this music back to life and to share with the world these fantastic artists that you work with.
Listen brother, you earned it. I seriously admire your humility; that being said, it doesn’t take a genius to feel the effort you put into this. It’s often hard for people to really soak in their accomplishments, but take a moment to be proud. Much love Farya
My first interaction was with the Belisarius song. After listening to it, you made me take a big trip to culture and history that I hadn't taken in years, revisiting those parts and discovering some changed my perception in several aspects and you where the main inspiration for this endeavor. For this I thank you deeply, through your music you redefined my perception in several cultures, including my own.
Ok, the various folk musics are wonderful, and that's one reason I love living in Greece where I can hear folk music on the radio, but you are exceptionally talented in gathering and performing folk music and historical music from all over the world. You are like Béla Bartók at the cube.
Finally, a good reason to create a patreon account. Thank you for your many years of hard work and for giving us this opportunity, Farya! Polychronion!❤
Congratulations, Farya! WIshing you already had 1M but that will come soon. And happy to hear that you finally have decided to pay attention to us when we were screaming "shut up and take our money" for the Patreon :)
Just the other day my husband and I were talking about your content and how you're bringing back to popularity kind of a lost art-form, that of the operatic piece, the long-form narrative symphony. That you're doing this while also genuinely highlighting and showing the real music of all these often forgotten or passed over cultures is even more phenomenonal, and the amount of interesting history I've read about just because of your video descriptions on your musical pieces has really broadened my view. Thank you!
There is another button that your work pushes in the best of ways: curiosity. Even if I cannot relate to some (ok, most) of musical languages used by you in your work, I will click play, with the belief that my genuine and well meaning curiosity will be met with genuine and well meaning intent to inform. Art will be subjective across ages and people, but education is universal.
I probably represent a minority of your audience, but as a classically trained musician I deeply appreciate how you make these historic musical traditions come alive. Although I knew more than the average lay person, I still internalized the misconception that European medieval music was rather "primitive" and boring from my formal education. I'm grateful that I now have a more holistic perspective. As a sidenote, I would love to hear your rendition of "La Dousa Votz" by Bernart de Ventadorn. That was one of the first medieval songs I encountered, back in high school musicology class.
I listened to a lot of your Iranian music while making my animated short set in Persia🇮🇷 I'm now doing the same with listening to your slavic music for a project I'm working on set in Bulgaria🇧🇬 Keep inspiring🙏
Congrats on 300k! Your music has really been inspiring. It's unlike most music I've heard before, I homestly hope your channel grows even more! Much love from Alaska!
Honestly, this channel did so much for my understanding of music. If you build it, they will come, as they say - and indeed 300k open minds came. Cheers!
I am normally not someone who usually subscribes to Patreon, or other services like it, very often. However, if it’s for supporting this wonderful channel and beautiful historically themed music, I am instantly in. You honestly deserve it. I admire your humility when it comes to compliments and praise, as well as the dedication and knowledge you have for your craft. I look forward to whatever you have for us next!
Yeah same, I've never seriously considered it but for Farya I subscribed to that shit literally as soon as I saw this video. He really undersells himself, he's one of only two people I know of who has such a passion and ability to bring such variety of folk music to life. The other being Arany Zoltan, who doesn't seem to be active anymore.
Congratulations for the milestone! I think you're really doing an incredible lot of good for popular cultural history right now and I'm so thankful for your work for that!
Sir, I do not exaggerate when I say your channel brought a spark back to my life that I sorely missed. Beyond admiration of the beauty and badassery of each song, it reignited my love of history, and brought attention to certain portions of it that I never learned. It is the humble opinion of this internet stranger that you have long since earned a Patreon of your own. I will indeed raise a glass to the Greek folk music, the Slavic, the Iranian, the Roman, to all of it, and especially to the messenger who brings peoples' attention back to it all. Job well done, sir.
The quality of your work and humility are reason enough to support your efforts. Plus I really want you to throw more content on Spotify and keep rocking the musicology talks. Thank you and looking forward to 500k this year.🎉
Congratulations Amicus! Your music has uplifted my historical passions and through hard times like no other and I and all your fans greatly appreciate the work and effort you put into everything. Gratias tibi ago!
Farya , since I got introduced to you by one of my closest friends , I couldn't stop listening to your masterpieces since then , I , as a fellow Iranian am proud of an artist like you who is not arrogant but even humble ! You are a treasure for international historical heritage. In short... : I love you man ! Keep going !❤
All I ever wanted and all I was ever looking for was a channel for all kinds of historical music, the literal exact thing that you do, and I couldn't be happier to stumble on your work 9 months ago. Your channel is an absolute gem and I'm glad it's becoming less and less hidden by the day. Congratulations and much much love from Tunisia ❤
4:00 I like to draw medieval/renaissance buildings both historical (especially between 13-15 century) and fantastical, while listening to your music and makes me feel like an architect from those times hahaha.
Your use of the instruments is enough to spark my imagination about the Helleno-Roman world. A truly unique output to historical music that I can relate to as do many others, with songs like Belisarius hitting mainstream. Keep going. 👍
Hey man, Thank you so much for your work! Your music is truly majestic and has been incredibly helpful to me in finding calm, reducing stress, and enhancing my enjoyment of my history hobby. You were my most-listened-to musician on Spotify last year. This year, I went through a tough phase, and your music, combined with my hobby, really helped me. I also love using your songs in my videos. When I felt lost on a distant journey and became nervous, I would play your music and it would calm and relax me. I only have one request-please add more music and tracks to Spotify, if possible. Thanks man, keep up the great work-really, really impressive 300k announcement. Best regards from Germany.
Farya, you have enriched my life so much with your music and lectures on the music of the world: thank you for all! And I am looking forward to your future œvre ❤
Farya, you more than deserved this succes. You are an exceptional artist who puts the heart and effort in showcasing all those musical taboos, so to say and also teaching amateurs as I am the theory of music in doing so. Thank you for that.🙌🙌
It is incredible how far your channel has come. I have been following you for a while. You exposed me to cultures I had no idea about, and I learnt about them through your music. I'm looking forward to what you will put out next
The interest in your channel isn't just the music, it is also because of you! You're a fascinating person with great talent. I love your work but I personally support you because of what I see of you. God bless and congratulation!
Farya. When i discovered you in late 2022, little did i know what treasure trove i had discovered. Though i already had a love for world music, you helped open my eyes to the immense beauty and all sorts of knowledge behind middle eastern, medieval, greek music, etc. Not only that, you have been one of my greatest creative inspirations recently to write, draw characters from other cultures (and trying to represent them accurately), and even to create music on my own in these styles. I cannot thank you enough for what you have done for me, for music, and for us all. I will most certainly support you on patreon, you deserve every cent. Per aspera ad astra.
Congrats Farya! You have more than a quarter of a million people! That's probably more than most politicians in Europe combined! When are you announcing your party to save Greece? Happy New Year, BTW!
I feel like you sell yourself short, albeit I get it's for a good reason - because you want to hold to that authenticity that is at the core of what you do, so you don't stray far from your source material - but you aren't just a messenger: you have the skill, the creativity and the agency to bring all these musical elements together. You're one of very few people who go out of their way to put themselves in the shoes of ancient cultures and still come out the other side with something that has that modern orchestral sensibility. I don't think there's anyone else that makes epic Iranian music like you do. I still listen to I Am Cyrus almost regularly and I love playing Shadows Over Xerxes from your Thermopylae symphony while looking at pictures of a reconstructed Ctesiphon. I don't know where else I can get that level of immersion and production quality.
Congratulations on 300k man! You're a great educator and an incredible advocate for music. All of the praise is well-earned. We raise a glass to the musicians and the cultures that produced so much of the music you adapt, but it's just as fair to raise one to you. It's not just the message itself but in how you convey it: your obvious passion and care for art, nuance, and historical truth teach other people to care about them too. The beauty of experiencing music through your channel is not just that it gives the emotional high that a lot of people want from folk music/"epic" music- but that we get to experience it with new context, understanding, and a new perspective on the world.
farya, you deserve 1 million subscribers my brother, you made my favorite songs and when I listen to them for example: lelita saftita, hikanatoi, belisarius, toquz oyuz and sons of mars I keep crying with joy, if I could I would donate to you patreon every month, you are spectacular, unfortunately where I live, which is in Brazil, people appreciate disgusting music like funk that has themes like crime, sex, drugs and bad things. Your songs attract good things like my happiness and that of your 301k subscribers. :D
9:18 earned????? You’ve gone so far past earning it by now! You have created an archive of historical music! That has so much value! We have learned so much from you! Congratulations on 300k!
I raise a glass to you Farya Faraji and to the giants whose shoulders on witch you stand🍺 thank you, For spreading the music of the ages to those of us who’ve never known it was being forgotten.
Congratulations on the 300k. You deserve the utmost best, all us here hope for your further success, and to meet all once again during your 500k subscriber special ❤
Farya have you ever thought about doing some bigger projects, like music for movies or games? It could have a snowball effect in influencing more artists to study and create historically accurate music.

Hikanatoi by Metallica isn’t something I expected when opening this video.
And now I absolutely wanna hear it
Yeah, i want a full version of this!
OK but it was absolutely epic
WE NEED THIS
Like the others I'm not even joking when I say I need a full version of this. Especially with vocals.
Congrats Farya, here's to 1M by 2026! You're really THE guy in this niche, and you do it incredibly well.
Thanks alot John, I appreciate the support!
@faryafaraji Keep making awesome music and I'll keep giving you 20 views a day lol
Farya a real one for reminding us right away that Medieval Greek Metal was widely used in Thrace and Pontic regions during the reign of Emperor Duduk
"Although many claim that Emperor Duduk was Armenian, more recent studies suggest Georgian, Greek, Iranian and various other roots. It could be that Duduk was an illegitimate son of Shah Turban Scimitar Xerxes the Three Hundredth the camel desert enjoyer."
Emperor Duduk was also a patron of a famous Nisiotika metal band known as 'Metallikos'
I've never seen someone so confrontationally humble before 😂

farya= great man of culture
My favorite Baudrillardesque critic of ethnomusical hyperreality in pop culture is back.
Today in words I had to google:
yes
I've always had a weird love for long complicated-yet-somewhat-understandable words, and so let's just say your sentence gave me a braingasm.

Your channel is a treasure
Congratulations Farya, you deserve a million
Farya, you more than deserved this succes. You are an exceptional artist who puts the heart and effort in showcasing all those musical taboos, so to say and also teaching amateurs as I am the theory of music in doing so. Thank you for that.🙌🙌
Thank you Farya, you’ve opened my eyes to true music. I love your work, keep going!! Love from the Netherlands ❤
I really hope one day you'll make a concert tour around the world.
The electronic sâz was absolutely metal
Congrats Farya on 300k! Barikalah baradar.
You are the first singer in my playlist .
Greetings from France
I love your sociopolitical commentary on music, such great points. Might f around and watch that greek music video again.
Thankyou so much for your music, I think it's probably the thing I listen to most often every day. Wishing for a Nader Shah symphony always, though:)
Keep go Farya.
You have definitely earned the support.
Looking forward to the next video.
Im so happy for you! You deserve all the good things to come!
Thanks dude for your great work to convey these authentic musical associations.
Congratulations brother for 300k subs🎉🎉🎉
Kolejny raz cos wspaniałego gratulacje 👏👏👏🏕️🥁🧝🗡️🏰🔥🔥👑
Congratulations on reaching a new milestone! :)
A toast to the messenger.
You are the best man!
farya, you deserve 1 million subscribers my brother, you made my favorite songs and when I listen to them for example: lelita saftita, hikanatoi, belisarius, toquz oyuz and sons of mars I keep crying with joy, if I could I would donate to you patreon every month, you are spectacular, unfortunately where I live, which is in Brazil, people appreciate disgusting music like funk that has themes like crime, sex, drugs and bad things. Your songs attract good things like my happiness and that of your 301k subscribers. :D
9:18 earned????? You’ve gone so far past earning it by now! You have created an archive of historical music! That has so much value! We have learned so much from you! Congratulations on 300k!
Congrats farya, thank you for your amazing music, that help me being happy.
Congragation! Your recreation of bygone music is very interesting and enjoyable.
