Kai debuting as a soloist is the craziest thing because people used to say who will sing? and now he has 18 flawless songs in only 3 mini albums. He was the most streamed sm male artist last year I think. With 500 mill streams. Even other idols and celebs covered his song Rover. It's like a national hit in Korea.
Kai's whole debut EP is very good, consistent high quality. Definitely my favorite EXO solo album. You'll have to eventually check out SHINee solos as well. Especially Taemin, he's one of the most iconic and influential soloists in all of Kpop, he'll be having a new comeback this month, the first one under a different company (he left SM as a soloist and joined BPM - Big Planet Made Entertainment this year).
Finally 😮please more kai solo stuff....especially his kai film 1 and 2 which has snippets of his albums....two masterpieces and it shows what an artist he is ❤
Kai is such an insanely Expressive and graceful dancer. Plus his music choice. Solo artists put in their own money when they have to do something extraordinary. Me just a year older exol dint know that but recently i found on twitter when haters trolled Kai when he was about to release his Debut album that who is going to sing in his album. Bcz he never sang more than 1 line in most songs. And that tweet was widely spread. plz watch kai's films. As some reactors said to his films "Naaahhh! This is not kpop" That man truly introduced his own music in kpop. Just like suho. He love Brit pop. And his new album has some songs with 80s brit pop vibe. One Analytical site wrote that this genre is almost non existant in kpop. I would love to see more Exo soloists. They are making great music with totally different styles. Including Lay. Cant wait for your Bambi, Veil, Joker, honey, Hurdle+ grey suit, chen's solo, Mars mv and other solo songs. Also CBX. they have totally different and fun vibe with meaningful songs too. Baekhyun and Lay are slaying in their solo tours. plz react to Exo more🥺

I like that you pointed about when going solo it’s letting go of the restraints put on an artist when being in a group. Kai has mentioned a lot of times during his solo debut how he was so happy he was finally just “KAI” and not “EXO’s KAI” (Not a diss at his role in group btw). He has been dreaming of being a solo artist since he was a rookie in a EXO so this was a huge dream and accomplishment for him. And at the time, Xiumin (Frost) and D.o (Earth) were about to discharge from the military that year that's why we see their power symbols at the end on the frozen earth!

I recently saw a video of Alawn, the producer of Mmmh, said they didn’t 17 edit about this song. Junny, the songwriter, said in an article that Kai was highly participated and did a great make it sound unique, kai knows what is Kai style. I think they are none of them are very successful when they meet Kai. both of name Mmmh by Kai as their most memorable project. In the video , Alawn talked about this song made history as the most No.1 for solo male acts on iTunes. There are video of Junny sing his version of Mmmh, i think it is away more commercial. Kai ‘s 2nd title track had 19 edits, people who worked with him always said he is perfectionist. 😅since you’re a music producer maybe some day you could work with him, that is very possible, Rover is literally from🇧🇬.

My favorites voices from exo are Kyungsoo and Kai, love Kai singing voice. But the exo soloist that makes songs more my taste is baekhyun. I'm all in the r&b vibe. My favorites songs from Kai are Sinner and Hello stranger.
EXO solo albums are totally different from EXO songs. All different genres from each other. You will definitely enjoy them all. All great quality production. Even the sub-units (EXO-CBX and EXO-SC) are totally different from EXO. Kai was heavily involved in all his albums.
As for me, you should react to Baekhyun next, with his oncoming album would be great, you can start with: un village, candy, bambi, all I got, cry for love, and get you alone (again, to begin with hahah)
kai is an artist that makes commercial music as a soloist. baekhyun is more of a classic r&b style and ballads for example and so all exo solos are all different. next baekhyun
