He may have gotten lucky here and there, but he still earned every bit of it. I'm just now getting into watching the PBA and they're all pretty damn impressive, especially Kent.
I don't want to take anything away from Kent, but good lord this was some lucky shit. This was a war of attrition, damn near. Every bowler fell apart in each match when it mattered. From four straight open frames, to being unable to string two strikes together. Kent found a way to win despite trying to give the game away in multiple frames. It wasn't great bowling, but it was tremendous drama. I want more of this, even though there isn't a single bowler who wants to have a nightmare round on broadcast TV.
Until I happened to catch some PBA playing on TV while visiting my dad, I had no clue how close my son (17 years old) and I are to being able to go pro. Bc I've never followed bowling, I had assumed they all got 270+ nearly every game. We both have an average in the low 200s and he never bowled until 1 year ago this month, so maybe we should practice more than every few weeks to get that little bit more we need, lol. Some of these guys are definitely impressive and I'm so happy it's not a sport that has died with the older generations.
It's better to be lucky than good. When you compound both, it's near unstoppable. Such a wild show. Much love to Marshall for finally claiming a big victory here.
A good reason to go two-handed is you lessen the chances of the injuries you get as a one-hander. Repetitive motion is the name of the game in bowling and it's also the source of injuries. If you bowl enough, you'll get injuries, sometimes for life. Bowling is a real sport!
Kent deserves this ,everybody who lost either made to many mistakes or just couldn’t keep up Yea kent made a few mistakes but with the strikes he was putting up he gave himself plenty room for those mistakes and he just at the end had more pins
PbaBowling, Thank you for uploading the Stepladder Finals of the Tournament of Champions especially the dramatic finish in the Title Match of the Tournament of Champions. Also, Is it Ironic that the same 4 Bowlers also made the Stepladder Finals of the Tournament of Champions last year?
I completely understand that it's a bowler's choice to which ball to use to convert the 3,6,9,10 but if I was Ej, I use the strike ball ( Max Thrill Solid ) at that pin set up which you have to cover the back pin ( 9 ) which you need to throw a hook to convert & his shoulder would not have ache on his first throw each frame which I felt really bad for him after all these consecutive telecasts that some point if you overdone either your elbow, wrist, fingers / thumb or your shoulder like what happen to him late in the match. I felt sorry for him in a good way like I thought if Ej would have done something that any bowler has never done in this tour in a long time which is a 3 peat on 3 consecutive TV shows.
Jason Sterner's pre-shot routine of spitting on his hand to wipe his sole of his foot has got to be one of the most disgusting out there in tv bowling.....along with Tom Smallwood's. Just yuck.
One of these announcers is a wild man. Said backdoor friends are your best friends and he needs cortisone or better yet morphine lol watch out for him 😅
The win was already in the cards for Kent. 2 lucky strikes and Simo's perfect ball and gets tapped. Makes bowling interesting. 🎳 You just never know... 😮 Glad for Kent! 😊
I’ve never seen a guy get more help in a major than kent just did. Very happy for him feels like it was 7 years over due

Kent’s been looking one forever, I was so happy for him watching this, lucky or not. It’s been long overdue.
Kent had a guardian angel, what a great tournament with the best commentary crew and the best fans in the best sport ever!
Sport??? It's a stretch to call this game that.
@@henryt9281 Found the guy who knows nothing about professional bowling^
@@henryt9281bowling absolutely is a sport
I just started watching most of these guys. I love this for Kent. We'll deserve even with a lil help.
EJ is a fighter, bowling while injured, I salute him
And Marshall had probably the most emotional win ever in the PBA history and for that with all my gratitude, congratulations🎉

If every tournament of champions was like this, my son and I could both win, lol. Was a hell of a great watch, though.
God said today was Kent’s day.
Would've been nice if he could have acknowledged Him...
@@derekostrom358 looked like he was praying here 1:30:38
Why did God want Kent to win but not the other bowlers?
@derekostrom358 probably cuz god isn't real
Kent,today is your day❤
Finally Kent wins a major! 🎉

the jaw dropping all the way to the floor on Simonssens last throw...
Because he thought it was a good ball, but his speed was up, and it didn't go through the pins correctly, leaving the 10 pin.
All. WAY
CONGRATULATIONS M. K. RESPECT. FROM MALAYSIA
So that's the reason for belmote performance this season...missing home
THIS WAS IN KENT'S FAVOR!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
56:05 what an outrageous pin action!
It's better to be lucky than good. When you compound both, it's near unstoppable.
Such a wild show. Much love to Marshall for finally claiming a big victory here.
Congrats Marshall!
Well deserved. Lots of luck, but either way it doesn’t matter. Nothing changes the fact that Marshall finally did it!
thanks for airing this. anyway to position the camera in straight in front of tv. thanks

Muy bueno verlo ganar después de luchar tanto, felicitaciones a Kent!!

56:00 luckiest strike ever!!!

And none of them won it. Again.
And Kent climbed the later, much like Belmo did
Actually! Since 2020, someone had climbed the ladder to win the TOC, it’s a 4 year streak now.
@@TheFlipperFlop Dom was the winner in 2022 and he was the #2 seed, so not quite.
Shut up Andrew phillips
Wow PBA finally post first before Fox what a change
Fox posted this a week ago
Simo: “no comment”
Congrat Marshall
@pba do you know if pba playoffs round 1 from last saturday will be posted on fox sports youtube page?
WHY REPOSTING THIS? POST ROUND 1 AND ROUND 2 OF THE PLAYOFFS PLEASE!

Bowling is back!
EJ did the same as i did by messing up his rotor cup.
1:31:30 no way
Damn with how dry this oil pattern is I’d be tempted to move far right and throw plastic

it was not your day jason
Marshal Kent needs to give up bowling! He self destruct every time. He was giving a Major, he didn’t earn it.
I can’t believe it didn’t strike when it was in the gutter just saying he carried everything else.
Spitting should be banned .. You give high fives and spread your germs. Not just that, it is so disgusting!!!
Cortisone or morphine 😆
You went for a drug dealer metaphor? lol
Assistia 42 minutos de jogos, 36 propagandas... parei não assito mais

That crybaby kent cant even win even by will and strength, just a luck gave him a stupid win
Someone’s mad😂
