Back in the day (1983) I had the privilege of staying in Pittsburgh for corporate training in offices at the US Steel building for 2 weeks. I stayed at Hilton located at 3 rivers park and fell in love with the Pittsburgh. I did tour CMU and the hill. What a wonderful time I had while I was there. And the people were nothing less than wonderful. Thank you for bringing those wonderful memories. Oh, I was there during the arts festival and met so many performers were staying at the hotel many of whom performed in the park. Excellent city.
Lot of Asian restaurants and fancy drink shops. Subpar pizza shops. I still live here near "Dice". Nice walking in the area. Starbucks on Murray has cops for when the chilin' get out of school. They have problems at the bus stop.
@@TimRobertsRE The dog actually saved the owners life by telling him to back o0ff. He is elderly and should sue, but was too upset, saying its would not bring the dog back. Even shoes might not stop that, depending on what you wear. nice videos!
Well Schenley park borders both Oakland and squirrel hill so they kind of share it 😂 but you are right Phipps is definitely more on the Oakland side of the park. As for cmu I think technically it’s part of squirrel hill but yes many of its buildings are in Oakland. It can be weird how everything blends into each other sometimes

Squirrel Hill is main Jewish area of Pittsburgh, best food, best gyms, best cars, best houses, etc.

😂 yea it probably is more Oakland but it borders both so I wanted to include it. I’ll definitely include it when I eventually do a tour of Oakland!

my dads family lived in squirrel hill beautiful homes lots to do but for me id rather live in my small town they can keep the big cities
Absolutely to each their own. Squirrel hill is nice because it’s in the city but can feel very suburban
Unfortunately all the good places are gone. {National Record Mart,Heads Together, Squirrel Hill Theater,EatnPark},Was a Paradise when I grew up .
