This is dream math learning situation for me. Not there, invisible, no fear of being asked anything, can stop it and repeat, explanations clear and friendly, relevant questions, it's math heaven. Thanks for posting these videos. Very much.
This guy is really good. All my teach does and come to class write the problems on the board, skip steps and writes the answers its pretty bad. I really have started to hate the educational system because of the way it fails us, but its nice to see teachers like this guy... I haven't in a while...
Watching this in 2020. I'm 27 going back to college and using all his videos to study for my placements. It's a great refresh and his positivity makes me want to watch more. Makes me miss my days in high school.
To be honest, I can not retain a single thing my teacher says. I watch your videos and I actually understand it by the way you teach and connect with the students.I seriously take my classwork home (which is allowed), to do it along with my homework while watching these videos. Thank you for saving my grade, I wish I could just have my teacher show these on the projector, it would help the whole class, but I feel it would be an insult to his career. Oh well, thanks yaymath!
Wish this was my math teacher, im a senior in high school math was my hardest subject and every year the teachers get worse and worse and the math gets even harder this guy knows how to teach and enjoys it every math teacher ive ever had gets frustrated when i ask questions which in return makes me not wanting to try i need to pass math to graduate and this guy helps me out soo much great videos!!!!
This "mathematician" has great teaching skills. I'm in my 40's and I did not have Algebra as a requisite to graduate so I'm taking in college now. Yay Math's videos have helped me get through my online Intermediate Algebra course, which is a mixture of Algebra, Geometry and Algebra 2. I'm so grateful for your videos. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!!!
yaymath You. Are. AWESOME. I've never had a math teacher that was so enthusiastic to teach and provide understanding to their students like you do. I am now finishing high school online so I am basically teaching myself, which can get difficult, but your videos have helped me tremendously here recently and I can't begin to express my gratitude. THANK YOU, you rock.
Would you have to introduce restrictions on the X at the beginning (the { (x-5) / (2x-6) } - (x-7) / (4x - 12) problem}? Or would restrictions not matter since the answer is 1/4 and has no x’s in it?
Well, I mean, at my school I was always in top math class, but he seems to be teaching a year 11 or 12 class... It's a bit sad when they are having trouble at this level of math
Algebra 1 is tought in 8th grade but Algebra 2/ Algebra 2 trig is tought in 10th grade. This is an actual class being tought and recorded. The students don't actually need help, they are just helping the video out.
They obviously do need help, because they're not going to be constantly getting it wrong if they don't know the content. I also highly doubt that they're getting it wrong on purpose and struggling on purpose for video reasons.

Welcome back to the ed game, and best of luck with this big endeavor you’ve laid out for yourself. You’ll reach the summit; it’s inevitable.

If only my teachers could teach this well.
THANK YOU! I finally understand. You took me back to HS with your video.. I liked that.
His jokes are super cringe worthy but thanks for this video I defiantly needed it

Back when 720p was HD
If the denominator is 3x and 5, can you write it like 15x? or would it have to be (3x)(5)?

I'm afraid you lost me at the like denominators part at 12:44. I don't understand why you have to square (×+2) for the (x+2)(×+3)
"Something equals something." hmm... An EQUATION?
