The talent is there we can all agree..but song compositions are lacking. Tagalog song are always ballads which the international buyers finds it cheesy. Look at korea they making a wave around the word because they have good original songs that people can listen too... actually kz got some tracks that the world can vibe to.. like labo, nagiisa nanaman, imposible or morissette's panaginip, throwback, and di mapaliwanag which is not famous to filipinos.. but those can can be a hit in the world music market.. specially if it has an english lyrics. The problem with filipinos is they don't promote their own, they always request for covers covers and covers.. covers don't make you a huge star no matter how great a singer you are. Original hit songs, originality, distinctive sound and artistry will take you to super stardom.
Forgive me for saying this, as a loyal audience for this show for so many years, i MUST say that KZ Tandingan is the most talented singer ever in the show! She can sing sentimental song (Say something), rock song(real gone) other kind of songs n makes the songs become hers EFFORTLESSLY! Plus 1 more important thing..she CAN RAP! and she so Pro in rapping. She so versatile n got her own style while other singers only hv 1 type of singing skill, no one on the show can do the "machine gun shooting" rap like she does. There's one characteristic which is very important esp in this current generation.... "CREATE" that's the one thing she lacks and admits. Tho she said she writes at times but more for personal and not for commercial. When you enter to the show you made everyone ROLLING IN THE DEEP with your first performance. Your second performance turns into sorrowful and sadness that bring tears and THE HURTS YOU NEVER KNEW imparted to us. On your Third performance after having a big change that the production team suggested you to change your song choice the day before your performance we can clearly see that you really feel stressed and emotionally drained and wants to SAY SOMETHING but that didn't break you to give up and your performance summarized all your efforts and hardwork. The 4th performance, you rock the whole stage that Audience lose their control, totally REAL GONE on their selves after all it was an epic night. Your last performance in the competition is really a ground shaking, showing different kind of genres in one song and no one has ever done that, you are the ROYAL of the stage. It would be awesome if "Let me be your ruler you can call me KZ" hehe. Despite of what happened we are still proud of you and you'll be forever in our heart and we will SEE YOU AGAIN KZ! 💚💛💜💓👍 (sorry for bad English. Hehehe)

I have seen the original four seasons of Korea's I Am A Singer, and all of China's six seasons of Singer...all I can say is that there have only been a handful of singers on both shows that have got me so excited and delighted to witness their journey on Singer...KZ is one of them. I know many of the singers in the current season are well respected and talented (except for maybe one), but I honestly feel KZ has so much potential and tricks still up her sleeve. I hope KZ gains great relationships, learns a lot, and use this experience to propel her to the next level. She is fortunate to be on Singer and we are fortunate to be able to witness her journey. What i really love about kz is her versatility and creativeness... i think that were the things That is lacking in the singers nowadays... in every performance she make sure that we will never get bored and really bring something new.... you will wait on how she will mess the song, add her techniques, and how she will turn a song in to a good performance... not like the other artist, when they sing... you will just wait if they will hit the notes and thats it, he or she is the winner.
Sir im not trying to brag but that kind of talent here in Philippines is very normal we have so many singers here who got international singing level. Try to search these filipino singers : morisette amon, katrina velarde, marcelito pumoy, charice and many more. For sure you will be amaze.

Right, am from the PH too but saying "that kind of talent...is very normal" is inaccurate. sure, we have a lot of talented Filipinos out there esp. when it comes to singing but not everybody has KZ's talent, if you know what i mean. not everyone can deliver unique song arrangements as she does, can rap, make a trumpet sound with her mouth and all doing this whilst singing beautifully and performing like she does onstage. not to mention her voice; i know there are a lot of Filipina singers who have lovely, angelic voices and even orotund ones like Morissette's but not everyone has that hoarse, raspy voice that is distinctly appealing as KZ's... so it's NOT really "very normal"--not quite how you described it, at least. :)

I have seen the original four seasons of Korea's I Am A Singer, and all of China's six seasons of Singer...all I can say is that there have only been a handful of singers on both shows that have got me so excited and delighted to witness their journey on Singer...KZ is one of them. I know many of the singers in the current season are well respected and talented (except for maybe one), but I honestly feel KZ has so much potential and tricks still up her sleeve.
I hope KZ gains great relationships, learns a lot, and use this experience to propel her to the next level. She is fortunate to be on Singer and we are fortunate to be able to witness her journey. Love from the US!

Sir im not trying to brag but that kind of talent here in Philippines is very normal we have so many singers here who got international singing level. Try to search these filipino singers : morisette amon, katrina velarde, marcelito pumoy, charice and many more. For sure you will be amaze.
sorry mr. Right, am from the PH too but saying "that kind of talent...is very normal" is inaccurate. sure, we have a lot of talented Filipinos out there esp. when it comes to singing but not everybody has KZ's talent, if you know what i mean. not everyone can deliver unique song arrangements as she does, can rap, make a trumpet sound with her mouth and all doing this whilst singing beautifully and performing like she does onstage. not to mention her voice; i know there are a lot of Filipina singers who have lovely, angelic voices and even orotund ones like Morissette's but not everyone has that hoarse, raspy voice that is distinctly appealing as KZ's... so it's NOT really "very normal"--not quite how you described it, at least. :)
