    Nice to hear about other planeswalkers stories. Hearing that the temporal anchor only makes a projection so Teferi can't interact on the past assure us that the story of the Brother's war won't be changed.

      @@pelusoft I’m terrified at the possibility of them showing Urza’s nice sides as an attempt to say, “See? He’s not that awful a person.” There are hints of this trend in the past few stories. Media tend to avoid extreme personality these days, which is unfortunate.

    Current theory: a combination of the moon silver key (altering the world based on people's hope), the sylex (a destructive blast made with memories of the earth), and Elsbeth's halo infused sword resetting new phyrexia, the phyrexians, and the compleated planeswalkers, to a point prior to corruption.

    • @cheesy_87
      @cheesy_87 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Just resetting the compleated planeswalker would be a cheap cop-out. Magic's story needs hard consequences

    • @TKTigerkat
      @TKTigerkat 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cheesy_87 agree with consequences, but i don't see why the compleated planeswalkers have to be part of said consequences. Effectively they were made evil without choice and killing them off would be bad story telling. I expect deaths to save them, likely Karn and Teferi.

    • @cheesy_87
      @cheesy_87 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TKTigerkat if the reversal of the compleation came with a huge cost, I would be fine with it. But I predict Ajani resisting his Phyrexian programming at some crucial point in the story and giving his life to tip the scales in the conflict. Some kind of heroic sacrifice to take down one of the praetors, activating the sylax, or saving someone

    • @TKTigerkat
      @TKTigerkat 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@cheesy_87 given Elsbeth's story, I don't see Ajani dying. I see her saving him and finally stopping the cycle of the Phyrexians taking from her. Narratively it makes the most sense.

    while the story has been decent that first part oh saheeli just saw how bad urzas plans were so she just made some improvements really? the thousands of years old supergenius demigod just wasnt as good as saheeli really? urza probably worked on those plans longer than she was alive. And before someone says mary sue i dont care what gender saheeli is id be just as pissed if jayce came up with this plan or tezzeret

    • @XadowXen
      @XadowXen 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Dude he literally says the changes aren't improvements in the traditional sense. Urza felt he HAD to send someone corporeal back, unlike Saheeli which is redesigning the anchor to just send back the SPIRIT of a person, as all they need to do is see how the Silex is used. Also, they don't have a silver golem anymore, so she would've had to make adjustments either way.

    • @atwistedsky9169
      @atwistedsky9169 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Urza did not have a means to send someone's spirit back, but did have the means to create Karn to fufill the need. Saheeli has Kaya to assist in sending a spirit back, but they have not the means or the time to create and send a silver golem back the intricacies of a Karn.
      I think "improvements" may be a poor choice of word, rather than "alterations" but even so, Urza was very "The ends justify the means." People seem to forget that while Urza was incredibly powerful and intelligent, he was not "good" per se. He did monstrous things to defeat Mishra and later Phyrexia because he knew what would be if he failed.
      Saheeli, Kaya and Teferi (especially Teferi) want to avoid messing with the timestream as they know just how dangerous it could be.
