Arrowhead Hospital - Day 1

On Wednesday, August 7, 2024, Phoenix Children's opened the doors to it's Arrowhead Hospital. Leyton, 12, was our first surgical patient. After tearing his ACL and meniscus playing soccer, his parents Desiree and Will brought him to Phoenix Children’s for care. Dr. Heather Menzer repaired his injuries with the goal of getting him back to the game he loves. The family lives in Glendale and was so happy to be able to schedule his surgery at the new hospital, close to home. Leyton’s surgery went great and he is home recovering with his family.
