I recommend you give Edens Zero a shot, I know you don’t like Fairy Tail, and I don’t know if you haven’t tried EZ because of that or if you did you might have thought it was Fairy Tail all over again and dropped it. I will say Edens Zero is a lot better, most people i’ve talked to who like Edens Zero, don’t like Fairy Tail, myself included. Also those that I have talked to that like Edens Zero like it because they think its One Piece but in space, based on the 1/10th of OP ive read I can somewhat agree. I think when the series gets pretty good is volumes 6-8. Volumes 9 - Present are really really good. By no means am I saying the first 5 volumes were terrible or bad, they were good, but a bit slow. Even if you didn’t like Fairy Tail, I think you would like Edens Zero. (P.S. Sorry for the long comment It might take a little bit to read)
I watched the first half of the first season of Eden’s Zero it’s not perfect but I had a fun time with it and will probably watch the second half at some point!! Rave master is my favorite work by Mashima though - has a nice nostalgia too it and really feels like he was a bit more experimental back when he started with Rave! - Jerry
side note if you want to read the manga after the anime (highly recommend you do so) the anime adapts the first 8 volumes and volume 9 starts content that will be adapted into recently announced s2 (no date for it)
