Congrats. You brought back memories of my journey almost 30 years ago. There are many opportunities in the USA. Many Jamaicans take advantage of the opportunities and do extremely well. I moved to the US from rural Jamaica with only a high school diploma. I was basically on my own from day one. Along the way, I earned a PhD, which gave me access to good paying jobs and a strong network of professionals. I am now planning my return to Jamaica.
I am glad to see you have the support of family and friends. Hold you head up high and work hard. Good luck.

Kim, when i saw how happy you guys are it brought tears to my eyes. Your husband is amazing. I see that he is much older than you are but girl, the love is strong. I was in a relationship with a much older man and he lives in Canada. It did not work out because he is very toxic, controlling and a narcissist. I really cared about him but i had to end it. You prove to me that when 2 people are inlove age does not matter. Thank you for sharing your journey and giving women like me hope.
