One of the members back then (Hwayoung) faked/exaggerated a leg injury so she could get out of rehearsing for T-ara’s concert and all of the other members had to completely re-learn the formations for their choreography because of it. Due to this, T-ara members tweeted their disappointment about the situation. Hwayoung and her sister Hyoyoung then responded by tweeting about T-ara. This all made netizens think there were problems in the group and that the T-ara members were bullying Hwayoung. Netizens then decided to crop videos and post fake screenshots to make it look like they were really bullying her but everything was proven false. Hwayoung got kicked out of the group which made things escalate further. This went on for a while, T-ara got death threats (so did their families), they were dropped from their CFs, eggs were thrown at their company building. T-ara’s company never really acknowledged or spoke of the situation and tried to brush it under the rug, if they’d defended T-ara and let them speak properly and explain everything, the scandal probably wouldn’t have gotten to the point it did... but they made them stay silent and hoped it would blow over (which they later said they regretted). T-ara’s popularity in Korea took a major hit and they never really managed to recover from it. T-ara is still the only group I know that is always willing to try new things. Every comeback they do has a different concept, and that's one of the things I'll always love about them. As a Vietnamese myself, back when I took extra classes in elementary my classmates would constantly blast T-ARA, one even had a backpack of them I heard "Day By Day" so many times to the point I grew annoyed by it, back then I'd tag along with my mom to Karaoke parties and all I heard playing was DBD, I wanted to go home so badly I was never a big fan of T-ARA back then (I, quite frankly, didn't know what k-pop was) so I never looked much into it (I never touched the computer much as a kid either, was never interested in the Internet or media, thank goodness) but if I did back then, then maybe I'll be more attached now I still miss their music from time to time, but that's mostly because of my elementary school memories, not very fond ones but those days were peaceful and fun

I truly believe they were the best girl group of all time, they had everything a good girl group ever needed if not even more, so many concepts and so many good and not cutsy, overly sexualized songs or MVs, their songs had a concept and style, something that the girl groups nowadays will never achieve. However, Hwayoung and her twin sister Hyoyoung tweeted about 'bad person' which kinda leaded many people to think that there's a quarrel within the group and Hwayoung was the one being 'bullied' by the other members. After that Hwayoung's contract was terminated and she left T-ara, however because of this scandal the rest of the members can only have individual promotions, group promotion was cancelled for a period of time. Sadly this scandal was only cleared in 2017 because Hwayoung and Hyoyoung went on a reality show and Hwayoung said that she was having a very hard time when those T-ara members were all bullying her and how only her sister stand by her side. After that, many staff one by one chose to step up and say that Hwayoung and her evil sister are liars as none of T-ara members ever bullied her. Instead, it was her who's being constantly rude to those staffs and other members, apparently there's also text proof that her sister threatened one of T-ara member with physical harm for not supporting Hwayoung's behaviour. Hwayoung was also being exposed that she faked the seriousness of her injury to get sympathy. Both of them even tried to lash out at those staffs who exposed this evil twins but failed and admitted their act.
Really miss T-ara iconic songs. They were so big in my country during their peak. Every Cambodian kpop fan knew them. Each release was a smash hit. I think the top two were Lovey Dovey and Sexy Love. Their songs were played on TV many times per day. Due to the lack of technology we didn’t even know about their controversies. I just found out what happened many years later. How could something like that happen to this amazing group ㅜㅜ T-ara still remains in our hearts though. They’re one of the good memories. They made us happy with their music. They played a big role in promoting kpop. I wish to see T-ARA rise again one day.

I heard "Day By Day" so many times to the point I grew annoyed by it, back then I'd tag along with my mom to Karaoke parties and all I heard playing was DBD, I wanted to go home so badly
I was never a big fan of T-ARA back then (I, quite frankly, didn't know what k-pop was) so I never looked much into it (I never touched the computer much as a kid either, was never interested in the Internet or media, thank goodness) but if I did back then, then maybe I'll be more attached now
I still miss their music from time to time, but that's mostly because of my elementary school memories, not very fond ones but those days were peaceful and fun

I truly believe they were the best girl group of all time, they had everything a good girl group ever needed if not even more, so many concepts and so many good and not cutsy, overly sexualized songs or MVs, their songs had a concept and style, something that the girl groups nowadays will never achieve. I truly miss T-ara and I am so pissed off because that stupid scandal destroyed their careers and their potential. Such a shame, but I will always remember them!

@@s4ltandpeppeR back then when they had a new member called Hwayoung, she was apparently 'injured' in one of their concert and some of the members tweeted about despite being 'injured', Hwayoung should still try to interact and do as much as she can. However, Hwayoung and her twin sister Hyoyoung tweeted about 'bad person' which kinda leaded many people to think that there's a quarrel within the group and Hwayoung was the one being 'bullied' by the other members. After that Hwayoung's contract was terminated and she left T-ara, however because of this scandal the rest of the members can only have individual promotions, group promotion was cancelled for a period of time.
Sadly this scandal was only cleared in 2017 because Hwayoung and Hyoyoung went on a reality show and Hwayoung said that she was having a very hard time when those T-ara members were all bullying her and how only her sister stand by her side. After that, many staff one by one chose to step up and say that Hwayoung and her evil sister are liars as none of T-ara members ever bullied her. Instead, it was her who's being constantly rude to those staffs and other members, apparently there's also text proof that her sister threatened one of T-ara member with physical harm for not supporting Hwayoung's behaviour. Hwayoung was also being exposed that she faked the seriousness of her injury to get sympathy. Both of them even tried to lash out at those staffs who exposed this evil twins but failed and admitted their act.

Really miss T-ara iconic songs. They were so big in my country during their peak. Every Cambodian kpop fan knew them. Each release was a smash hit. I think the top two were Lovey Dovey and Sexy Love. Their songs were played on TV many times per day. Due to the lack of technology we didn’t even know about their controversies. I just found out what happened many years later. How could something like that happen to this amazing group ㅜㅜ T-ara still remains in our hearts though. They’re one of the good memories. They made us happy with their music. They played a big role in promoting kpop. I wish to see T-ARA rise again one day.
