- Nerf Pro Torrent Mod and Update
The goal here is not only to mod the Nerf Pro Torrent, but to update it too, so it is more reliable. From the barrel swap, going by a safety delete and a mag release fix, to finish with a seal upgrade. I even found a way to hurt myself in the process (the Torrent bit me!).

I added a 35cm Kuryaka barrel and DZP BCAR to my Torrent and it hits harder and is much more accurate. Thanks for the tip with the mag release spring, I'll do that the next time I'm in the blaster.

@@riyadijoko9897 Nah, I won't run double spring on a blaster I use. But I will eventually find an upgrade spring with the right spec
Isn't 35cm a bit long for a plunger of this size?
@@RevBDes It might be a little long but it was what I had on hand, I needed some extra length to give the BCAR something to attach to. I could take 5cm off but then I could ruin the barrel and Kuryaka does such nice work.

I swapped in a thicker Worker Swift O-ring and implanted a cut down Swift barrel I had lying around. It has a better seal and it seems more accurate. Now it’s actually a great blaster. The Nerf Pro darts are SO bad though. Had to use something else if I want any accuracy at all. Thanks for the inspiration! I’ll be fixing my Sender next. 😎
The Torrent is not a bad blaster...it just needs a little Update
@@thatoldnerfguyI completely agree! For what it’s worth, I took the front iron sight from Dart Zone Thunderbolt and shimmed it with a thin guitar pick and it fits the Torrent front rail snugly. Looks pretty good and gives something to line up the shots with.
I was able to get mine working pretty well. Adding the second oring to the plunger tube/pusher space really helped. (Weird they only use one)
I haven’t found a spring I like yet so I haven’t bothered extending the barrel. Seems pointless.
A retaliator spring from OOD works but is a bit too short so I’m gonna print a spacer and try that.
There’s a crazy mix of awesome and terrible design features in this thing but the plunger tube and spring guide is actually pretty genius for a compact blaster!
The goal here was not to extend the barrel, but to remove the plastic one. It seals better with aluminum

Thanks for the tips!! I did the mod and I removed the front two way spring and it primes much smoother. Unfortunately, had to keep the stock barrel for now. Can you drop a link to the reverse drill bit you use to make the 16mm barrel fit?
Let me find one readily available to buy like on Amazon and I'll post and/or share you the link here...I have this thing since like 15 years! XD I"ll find a more recent link
Try a thunderhawk bolt if you can get ahold of one. It is chunkier than a longshot bolt.
But the thing would really to be stabilized in some way...I'll stick with the pump

What do you mean "For that price"... at 30$ this is one of the cheapest blaster out there. I mean, I update blaster that are much more expensive. At that price, it's the level of mod I expected it to be.
I returned mine. I did all this already. Nothing to gain. Longshot or aeon pro x for the win. It’s too much stress opening over and over. No skinny pusher and the plunger tube inner diameter is wider at the back end. The clunky prime is just awful. I think retaliator springs work maybe a 12 kg will boost to 180. Highest I got was 170 same darts as u. Also in time the pusher o ring gets worn from mag lips. Hope u didn’t hurt urself too bad.
@@bboychips Just a bruise XD. TBH, I don't hate it, mine works well and I think I can bring it to a higher "standard". Everything is super easy to open, shell is pretty rigid and the only few glued parts are very easy to separate. Fingers crossed they'll release another Pro springer soon that won't be worse! I like to make something good with crappy blaster, this one is a "freebie"...not much work
