Nice vid. There's a video out there of someone using an XLS's higher weight bar to do a bench press motion and it always made me wish that they'd work on an attachment like that for the Fit models.
very clever set up for chest horizontal bench press! Only thing is I have the Elite Plus so I can't add weights to the sliding board. Let me double check. yea no holes for weight plates/bar. I found just taking off the middle pulley makes the normal chest press have enough resistance - and I can add the bands if I need to. I understand people's complaint about not having the same type of chest bench press work out on the TG but I figure if I am maxing out the reps and it's much more safely than a bench press - then I'm fine with the trade off. Besides I can do the butterfly press to work the back to balance out the chest press.
@@hybridresistance thanks bud I really appreciate that I'm definitely gonna be trying this tomorrow thanks alot for remembering really like all your ideas 💪
I got to try this...I love your out of the box thinking. I did some out of the box thinking today while working shoulders on the TG. I hooked both cables together without the handles and added 1 hook and one of those tricep ropes to do face pulls...worked great!
I love those wide grips on the ends of my EZ curl bar for rows especially. Love using my xls at level 6 with the mac blocks i bought from you at highest position. I am so glad i bought the Grips & Blocks. It is like rowing a boat through tough waters. LOL! Thanks for showing more exercises on the other side of the tower. I am always looking for new ways of doing things. I still say the sliding bench has the most possibilities of all other types of training. But that's just my opinion.
Great tips Mike for the Total Gym. Are you using weight bar sleeves on the weight bar on the total gym so the Olympic plates fit correctly? Mike , you put those bands on both sides of the Total Gym ? Am I Correct ?
Thank you. No, I"m not using the collars on the bar. I rarely do, I don't find them that necessary. Many times I only have one band on, but on this you may have to keep two on for this one. As always.....at your own risk, b/c I don't think they are designed for this.
Thanks Mike that’s interesting. I tried something similar quite a while back, but had the cables coming up from under my arms. I never thought to have them coming over. I may have to get a longer bar because I just have that ez flex curl bar. I’ll let you know how it goes. Honestly though, I got a dog recently so haven’t had much time for the total gym taking her out for a run every day. Got to manage my time better.
nice, ive been using the t.g.from that angel also especially back, chest, loading it with plates is just as good as a lat tower, just from another angel, appreciate u mike always,
Thanks for the creative info Mike!
You bet!
Thanks for these, Mike!
No problem Jay.

I have seen that and have tried it without the pulley and I still feel like it's weird or just a little light. But I didn't use bands with that one.

Good video just what I was looking for the chest on the tg
I remember you asking about the chest exercises. Hopefully you like this one

This is true, there are endless ways to take advantage of this machine.
Very cool brother. Got the handles you sent, they are awesome. Thx a bunch. God bless
Thank you for all the support.
Great review Interesting gotta try some of those angles on A Chest day 💪⚡️😃
Thanks man.
Can put a couple cylinder blocks if you don't have bands.
Can overhead press be done this way? I'm thinking set at floor level w/ bands.

Appreciate you brother
great vid as always!
Just when I thought you couldn't get any more creative with this machine..
I’m OK. But there are many more exercises still to show.
Also try standing on a crate or box and doing upright rows, side laterals, overhead press and curls.
Yes, great points. I used to use my cinderblocks for most of that stuff when I used to workout outside.
cool ideas
you could have someone sit on the sliding bench if you dont have bands or plates
nice. Really dont have room for that thought
👍
Slow is good! Just ask my girlfriends.
