I’ve been there sister. It’s so fresh that I realized even IF I lived up to my standards, they are still standards from my fallen human nature. A lot are God’s standards but then I add my own human twist where I believe I must do more, be more, be better, be…a perfectionist! If I’m not living up to His standards like I THINK I should, then I’m failing. It’s falling short, just like scripture says we ALL do, not failing. Conviction drives us right to the face of God. Condemnation takes us to a dark, painful, shameful, and almost immobilized place where we can become less effective or ineffective for the Kingdom - sounds like an enemy attack to me. I’m gonna say what you already know - there is therefore no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. When we are in Christ that’s who God sees when He looks at us, He sees the righteous blood of Christ poured over us. Things you already know. Also remember, our best attempts at righteousness are like filthy rags to God… so even if you lived up to your expectations you’d still be falling short. I don’t know about you but that reminder is freedom to me. Try talking to yourself like you would a best friend. You are loved unconditionally by a God who is able to love better (perfectly!) than even the best person you know. Do you believe He loves you? This is a question I have really been sitting with - it’s a knee jerk response to automatically say yes because Christ died for me. I can get caught up on not feeling like He loves me (emotionalism), so I have to work hard to consider the facts over feelings. That’s just me.

Thank you for sharing this… it was much needed. I keep falling into the same sin… every other weekend. I’m tired of asking for forgiveness. I’m tired of making the same mistakes. Especially after all God has done for me. I’m ashamed and disappointed in my actions, and I feel like I’m all out of chances. I can’t seem to stop and I just want to give up and hide. But I also don’t know who I am or what my purpose is without him… so I’m just stuck.
My friend, you are not alone in your battle against sin. Jesus has the ultimate victory and one day these chains will be completely gone. Yesterday, as I held my crying 2 months old baby in my arms, I sang some worship songs and watched her relax and fall asleep in my arms .. she was so relaxed, and God reminded me how he is like that to us.. he holds us and comforts us and makes us feel loved and safe in his arm .. It's crazy that he confirms me again in this video .. I guess i have been worrying too much of many things but God is good .

We are all terrified like Adam and Eve. We forget that He covered them and that even though there was now a different position or posture that they had to be in they (we) are still connected. So how do you “come out of hiding” when the feelings aren’t there? When you struggle to believe God’s promises that He will never leave you and that He loves you unconditionally? Today I had a rough morning and I was crying out to God for strength. He did bring me through, but it wasn’t like a giant revelation, the day just slowly got better. How do we get to the point where we trust God with every part of our hearts?
Personally, I ask God all these things. "How do i...", "what am i going through right now, give me the words", etc. Ask even for the things that feel like it's you who needs to figure it out, God will help you. I'm struggling with believing that God is consistently good (will do good things for ME), and I genuinely believe that at a certain point we have the choice to choose to believe His word and His character over our feelings. To me, that often looks like crying to Him and saying "God, You know what I'm waiting for and You see my longing and how my heart is breaking. But I know you're good because Hannah was crying too, David felt scared as well... and You were with them the entire time. Help me to hope in You" (using stories of people in the bible or people i know of that stick out to me). It genuinely builds up your faith, not because it gets you what you want but because you're choosing to wait on God and His decision and timing. Praying for you, friend ❤️🩹

Thank you for making this video. I feel somewhat the same. I moved and no longer see my family and friends. I miss my old church and friends. I’ve been feeling depressed, sad, and lonely. I’ve also not been abiding in Christ like I used to and I miss feeling close to Him. I feel bad because I feel like I should never be in this place again but I know that as long as we are on this earth we will go through different seasons and it’s just an opportunity to draw closer to God and grow deeper in my relationship with Him. I don’t have to feel guilty. I just need to acknowledge what I’m feeling go to God with it and persevere. I’m praying for you. I know it’s hard with so many changes going on in your life. We adopted a 1 year old street cat over a year and a half ago. He also went right under the bed when we brought him home. I started to spend time with him every day, feeding him and playing with him in the bedroom. Eventually he started to come out and now he is a happy part of our family.

I JUST want to get married. To my very dear, and very special, friend. But neither of us have a decent place to live yet. I haven't read all of the bible yet, (I'm reading cover to cover and I'm at 1 Corinthians) but somewhere it says get your life together, Then get married. So until that happens, I wait. I’ve also not been abiding in Christ like I used to and I miss feeling close to Him. I feel bad because I feel like I should never be in this place again but I know that as long as we are on this earth we will go through different seasons and it’s just an opportunity to draw closer to God and grow deeper in my relationship with Him. We adopted a 1 year old street cat over a year and a half ago. He also went right under the bed when we brought him home. I started to spend time with him every day, feeding him and playing with him in the bedroom. Eventually he started to come out and now he is a happy part of our family.
