I was wondering how this song was recorded? I heard they overdubbed the vocals, after recording the song in the studio? My question: it's obvious the guitar is out tune, but she quickly tunes it (video 6-9 secs). It seems to me the intro. was recorded live, but later they used the studio tracks?
It's not too difficult. Do you maybe read music? Don't worry if not. There are 7 notes to an octave (leaving out sharps and flats - don't worry about that lot now). It helps to have a good ear, but practice would get you there whatever. In the key of C, on a piano keyboard, start with middle C and advance one white note at a time going towards your right (DEFGA) until you get to B (next note would be C again, which starts a new higher octave). Fetch the lyrics down from the Internet and sing along. It's not a mysterious God-given gift. We can all do it. Useless but interesting fact. In evolutionary terms, human language and music both began in birdsong. However, birds can only sing one pre-determined song. We can make up our own tunes and songs and sing endless variations, in a multitude of genres. Middle C on the keyboard will probably be slightly to your left of the middle of the keyboard, as you face it. Check it out on Google images. Good luck.
