As a fellow "recovering stutterer" the REAL video which I was unaware of almost brought me to tears, and only reinforced my contempt for MTG.

As someone who grew up with a stutter it was genuinely sweet of him. He’s not the best president but he does try to still be a genuine person
No kidding, the fact that there's 25 other stutterers that he personally continues to call and work with is astounding to me. He was trying to keep it down because he wasn't doing it for the cameras, so even without fact checking that I'm sure it's true. Hell, even if he just referred him to someone that would've been above and beyond, but the man is a genuinely sweet guy. I never would've guessed from the gaffs he was known for when he was VP, like the hot mic moment where he told Obama "this is a big fuckin' deal!"

That interaction between ByeDon and that young man was one of the sweetest and most wholesome things I've seen in a long while. That the POTUS took time to not only speak with him but to also give him motivation and offer him personal contact to help him is quite moving. I'm glad the US has a man with some empathy in the White House. In 50 years that young man will be telling his grandchildren about how the most important man in America helped him get over his stutter and how kind he was to him.

When I took a journalism course in high school. Our teacher, drilled into us to never believe anything in the media. If we wanted the truth then find the truth. It was more difficult than it is now but that lesson has stayed with me. If the media message provides proof then check it out because even then people will see a different story than someone else did.

Touch is an important part of human communication, especially for children. There was no inappropriate touch between Biden and that boy. It was not only grandfatherly, it was connection with someone who knows what that boy is going through. It was a very powerful interaction showcasing how a president is supposed to behave. The president is OF the people, not ABOVE the people.
