  • In this tutorial we cover how to texture a SketchUp model in Cinema 4D. We download a 3d model of a car from SketchUp 3D Warehouse and then import into Cinema 4D. From there we scale it to real world dimensions and trouble shoot the textures one by one.

Just leaving a comment to say how useful I've found your tutorials (I use a different 3D package to cinema 4D but everything is fairly easily transferred across). The format of your videos works so much better than a lot of other tutorials on youtube just because you give an insight into the process as well as the technical elements. Looking forward to seeing more in the future!

I just made my own car but felt like I could do better with materials which is how I just found you. But seeing this made me appreciate the fact that I made my own model. I'm much better at modeling than anything else right now.
Your videos are really helpful, thank you for doing these :)

Fresnel is what makes correct output without cheating with reflections straight. IOR for most reflective car paint, like showroom cars, is around 2.1-2.3.

+Brian Gurnett Intuos 4 Small. I might need a Medium though for this big ass screen. I originally bought the small for my 15" MBP.
