  • Ocean Discovery, the park's beluga and dolphin show, is known to change just about every year. For 2023, there's a segment with the belugas at the glass very similar to the 2022 Christmas show and how this show was when SeaWorld first reopened after COVID. See below for highlights!
0:00 Opening with dolphins Avalon and Ohana and belugas Atla, Luna, Tulok, Martha, Kenai, Innik, and Crissy, starting with Avalon's back breach
    - 1:38 Atla's bow at stage! While a great beluga bow, I always thought her form looked a bit awkward
2:33 Beluga Glass Segment with Innik, Crissy, Tulok, Luna, Atla, and Martha, starting with Innik ending up at the wrong side
    - 3:00 Crissy mouth opens and postures at either Luna or Tulok
    - 3:55 More beluga drama with Atla and Luna
    - 4:15 Beluga vocals on both sides
6:27 Beluga Playtime with Innik, Kenai, Samson, and Martha starting with Innik and Kenai's spin swim
    - 6:45 Samson mermaids and Martha's head up behavior
    - 8:10 Martha and her trainer chin up at the glass (thumbnail)
    - 8:48 Kenai's bow and Martha slides out
10:15 Beluga Volunteer with Samson and 13:30 Dolphin Volunteer with Ohana
    - 12:15 Samson was asked by the volunteer and trainer to fluke wave but did his vspin instead
-14:28 Asking Ohana to backwards tailwalk
    -14:50 Ohana's high bow
16:17 Dolphin Finale with Ohana, Avalon, Ipo, Piquet, Bolt, and Hailey, starting with Ipo and Piquet's fast swims
    - 16:42 Ohana, Avalon, and Piquet's backdive
    - 17:26 Bolt and Hailey's front flip
    - 17:45 Everyone position tailwalks together! Any guesses to why they weren't bridged? (genuine question)
    - 18:20 Everyone bows together!

okay why does the music at the very beginning (the drums or whatever it is) sound like the music for a part of the splash segment in one ocean?

They may of sampled it from one ocean, like the did with the wetsuits in the Christmas show.

I still don’t understand why the pacific white sided dolphins were not bridged at there tail walk near the finale .

The only thing I can think of is they were supposed to go even further but terminated it early 🤔

I like the natural mural way better than the Azul design, but... the panels are still tacky looking. I know San Antonio is the unloved stepchild park only open in the Summer and big holidays, but I was hoping their next update wouldn't reek of cheapskate again.

I'm pretty satisfied with the new backdrop at WWD! It has done wonders for my photos background wise. I could use a refresher at Orca though..

Yes. But if then sent them back, they would not survive for long!

After seeing a sealion getting eaten by orca whales, with BBC just recording the whole thing instead of saving the sealion, I'd rather we actually save a few instead of them getting eaten, you crazy psychopaths.
I just watched it and I'm absolutely horrified you all would rather see an animal get eaten and call it a day, instead of making the animal live a long life. I saw the comments, and all were applauding the orca whales killing the sealion, instead of this where the prey animals are safe and living a good life.
I feel like I'm living with psychopaths seeing people like you comment like this.
