I studied in SDA schools where we often used to sing this song. Amazing! Morning and evening worship attendance were compulsory, but feel worth now. I have have never forgotten the Creator.

The inspiration behind this beautiful old hymn makes it all the more beautiful. In 1885, Fanny Crosby was visiting with her friend Phoebe Knapp. Phoebe asked Fanny to pray God would give her the words to a tune she had written. As Phoebe played the piano, Fanny got down on her knees and began to pray. When Phoebe had finished, she looked at Fanny and Fanny said, "Play it again." Playing the new tune once more, Fanny prayed the harder. And with the last note, she turned and looked at Fanny. This is the first Southern Raised song I heard after coming across it on TH-cam. It is so well done with such joy and peace that I have made it the last thing I watch each night before turning in. It's obviously Southern Raised's story as well as my own. Great song and so well done. Made me look further into Southern Raised and I fell in love with their music. Bought two albums and replay TH-cams of many other songs. You guys are so talented and authentic that it blesses my wife and I every time we play your songs. We pray you can find just the right person to replace Sarah -- she's a hard act to follow. God bless you all!

Our music leader had this song by Southern Raised playing during our communion at our church in Timaru, New Zealand. So apt and so beautifully anointed for us as we enjoyed fellowship after Covid lockdown restrictions have been lifted. Blessed assurance! So true! Thanks team!

I've watched a coupla videos of the group and I'm impressed with vocal range of the singer/guitarist. He's got at least two octaves and a certain classic music background. This is a hugely underrated band. They do have their sound and it rocks.

This was one of the Hymns my mom would play and sing on the piano when I was growing up. Well, her piano skills were better than her singing, yet her heart was the best. My mom died 3 months ago one week before 91 years old. I am crying right now. I know where my mom is, and I will meet her again.

Listening to this has just brought home to me what I'm missing while our chapels are closed due to the covid.
That deep bass voice adds so much to the song. A singer who can sing bass is something that the Petersens (that other family band from Branson) doesn't have!
