BRAZILIAN LEMONADE (LIMEADE):
Ingredients:
5 limes, washed and scrubbed clean
6 cups water
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
Lime slices for decoration (optional)
Ice
Very simple refreshing creamy drink.

The bitterness could be from the white pith in the middle of the limes.

By blending with the rind, doesn't it make it bitter because of the oils? I would think peel them and use a juice extractor to get the juice, then the rest as shown.
This is the way this recipe is made. So is Brazilian way. So u do what u want

Wife made this and it was super bitter from the skin of the limes. Maybe she missed something or it's an acquired taste. Will try again with just the juice of the limes.
On other videos they used less limes. So maybe try just two next time and work up for desired taste.

If you blend too much it gets bitter. Need to use just quick pulses. You can also remove half of the lime skin for less bitterness.

It does curdle. I don’t know. May be add just sugar. I don’t know. Lol

I used coconut cream and it turned out great. The brand was Coco Reàl Cream of Coconut, found it in the mixers section of the grocery store. Same consistency as sweetened condensed milk. I used the same amound called for in the recipe since the caloric value was almost identical, and it was amazing.
Won't the condensed milk become fermented when it's added to lime juice???

I was trying to find out if condensed milk will curdle in lime juice and the internet answers with a delicious no. I have to have this now.
Well. It does a little. Not gonna lie. But you can’t tell any difference though. Lol
Why are the limes blended with the peel?
It gives a little extra flavor. Thats how they do it.
