I love the 4v4v4 game. We did that a few practices this past summer, and the kids had a blast. Only differences we made were that the hitting team only gets 3 outs and after every out or full rotation of the batting order, players, from the same 'team', in the field rotate to a new position. So, the 1b went to 2b, 2b to ss and the RF went to RC, RC to LC, etc. After three outs, batting team went to outfield, outfield went to infield and infield became the new hitting team.

You said you like to do "front toss" as opposed to coach pitching for the Endless Batting game. Can you describe "front toss"? Thanks!

The simplest way to describe it is sitting behind a screen (L screen or something similar with little “give”. You don’t want a net where the ball can hit you), and you’re in front of the batter and underhand tossing to the batter. I’ll describe for right handed, but switch for left.
So you’re sitting on a bucket or chair behind the right side of the screen just so you’re able to toss to the batter.
You set up a short distance in front of home plate and you do a firm toss (almost like soft toss) to the strike zone for the batter to hit. Make sure the toss is firm, not “loopy” and it’s on a nice straight line to the hitter, similar to a pitch.
      I hope that makes sense!

How are you limiting pitches to a batter? 3 strikes or 5 pitches?

Hi there! Yes, I usually give them about 3 good pitches. I don’t like saying “they’re out” because I want everyone to hit and make plays in the field. But if after 3 good strikes either swinging or looking, then I’ll say “last pitch”. And that last good one will be the final pitch they see

4v4v4. Is there no catcher either? 4 players in the outfield like softballs or just spread out evenly

Hi Logan, you’re right - no catcher for the 4v4v4. It’s set up like BP with the coach either pitching or front toss with an L screen. And I’ve always let the outfielders play wherever - they normally end up in the “softball” outfield positions - but I’ve seen some 4 player teams do the three normal outfield positions with a “rover” position, where the rover plays in the shallow grass outside the infield dirt. I think giving them the choice makes it more fun for them. Thanks for the support!

I understand why you should have a coach be the pitcher, but how do you get pitchers and hitters game ready? Do they need experience vs live batters and live pitchers? Or is bullpens and bp enough?
      Love your content!

I've always loved your content and I understand your need to add some advertising. But this time it was wayyy too much and I'm not going to sit through it ever again. It's a mistake for you to do the long infommercials. Maybe I'll come back, maybe I won't. But I also suspect for anyone who's never viewed your content before, when the first thing they do is run into a long commercial for an expensive product they don't want, followed by another commercial they can't skip, it'll be enough to make themn exit and never watch you. Big mistake. You're competing against a lot of other people offering coaching material.
