Hi, for a generic French/Moroccan basket you can often find direct imports on market stalls. A reputable trader is cutting out the importers & all the middlemen and more of the price paid goes to the people who make the baskets, plus you’re supporting a local business. A lot of artisans are looking at market stalls as an outlet as being less vulnerable to lockdown & restrictions on opening, and they often do click and collect as well.
I have gotten so much wear out of my Loewe basket bag over the last two summers. I’m eternally grateful to you, as I discovered it on one of your videos long ago. It’s perfect for my lifestyle in form and function. I’ve been searching high and low for the Massimo Dutti linen/leather bag, but no joy. Take a look at The Row Bindle Three for a slouchy shoulder bag. I treated myself as a fully vaccinated present this spring, and I think you might like it.
I use the bags cream dust cover and place inside as a liner and all people see is cream in the inserts which looks fab against the tan. Happy Summer everyone.
I really like my handbag organizer. I highly recommend to get one, so everything inside my bag stays on it's place and I can find it easily. Also it makes it a lot easier to switch bags, because I just take out the complete organizer and put it into the other bag, and thirdly it avoids that everyone can see whats inside my bag when the bag is a bit seethrough. Mine is made from felt, and you can get them in a lot of colours.
You could get a bag liner for the woven leather, if you can’t get a color match, black usually disappears pretty well. I like one so that my keys don’t get stuck or my lipstick falls out.

I bought the jute basket bag from Mango (one of the ones you listed as an affordable alternative to the Loewe) at the beginning of spring. Just as a word of caution to anyone who's interested: it sheds. If you are wearing black, you will have noticeable jute fibers wherever the bag touches. I still am using it but it is definitely a negative side effect.
Weirdly, the 2nd hand Loewe baskets seem more expensive than new ones! I especially like your Massimo Dutti bag and the Dragon Nantucket, but, as ever, would not refuse any of your choices if offered one!

I just picked up a Kate Spade tricolor (black, white and beige) leather small crossbody that is perfect for everyday, it works with every neutral outfit. I think it must have been returned, I couldn’t find it anywhere, do went back and got the one I saw at my local Nordy’s. Now I want to get a cardholder, instead of my small, but still clunky wallet. I rarely use cash anymore, so am downsizing. Any mid-range suggestions, friends?
Love you for admitting we all carry around snacks in our bags. Is there any way to get your opinion on putting a real water bottle in the Nantucket with or without a bag organizer? Once I think about my yeti water bottle, I end up thinking TUMI is better for me but I love the look of the Nantucket.
Such a shame h&m have not repeated their summer tote i was lucky enough to thrift for eur 2,50 two summers back in 2019. Sturdy sand colour canvas fabric, decent straps and 6 pockets, machine washable. Fabulous.

Sally Novis. Just a quick tip, to use a dust bag from a designer bag as an “inner lining” and use the draw string as security. Plus a couple of tapes either side of the bags interior to keep the dust bag in place.

Maybe you’d ace it if you had to fight off Zombies 🧟♀️ and didn’t mind sticking your fingers in their brains 🧠🤣. All lovely bags, personal faves are the slouchy Joseph canvas and the Massimo Dutti slouchy one too. I’ve got a thing about ‘long drops’ on bags, I hate feeling restricted and it being too small and then it keeps sliding down your arm, it’s so annoying so one of the main things I look at when choosing bags. The Elleme bag has a longer strap so can be used as a crossbody but that's. I don't really use crossbody that much anymore, prefer something a bit bigger so I can keep all my cr*p in there lol 👍
I’m looking for a summer bag. I saw a Tula straw and leather bag in a charity shop for £12. I stupidly left it and then went back for it, but it was gone. I’m an idiot because it was in great condition and I really liked it.
I personally haven't had a problem but it definitely could do if you were to wear something with an open weave or fine like silk with it, so you would need to be a little careful of what you wore with it. 👍

Yes I still love her but I haven't worn her as much recently as I find her more of a winter bag (I have no idea why 😂 maybe because of the colour or because I opt for more open bags in summer 🤔 ), so at the moment I find myself opting for the larger tote type bags 👍
I just gonna say it : i think that a bag like the Loewe Puzzle or something in that line of practical, beautiful & minimal (and yes i know you don't wear colors) but in a dark (really dark forest green? This is going to be very controversial what i'm going to say next: first i love animals (except snakes bbbrr) but i really do love all them. It wouldn't be the first that we saved a bird from a hit with car etc ... But think about this: faux leather etc is some kind of plastic right!? And what kills & hurts animals? 1 of them is plastic So thats the first reason i prevere real leather Excample: if you butvm faux leather jacket after a few years that coating can begin to peel of so up to the store and buy a new 1. Bc if we don't protect the earth there will be no reason anymore to save animals bc then animals & humans die. So why not buying on vintage leather jacket? Or look to brands that use leather from the "left over" from the animals that are dead for meat? So atleast they zre not being killed just for the leather? Or like i said vintage (which starts from 15 or 25y old pieces) ? So then you save the planet so there is a place for animals to live on? Its saving for saving ykwim? I agree with you 10000%!! It's true that synthetic materials are worst to buy than natural ones, such as leather. They tend to last less, which means consuming more and will end up in a landfill for thousands of years :/

The bigger that allready biggest "trash " gonna get the more it gonna influence that pile, besides other things like dirty cares with lots & lots of rustdust that goes in the air, & so much more, rainforests that keep dissepering etc... its a long list But in fashion it comes from 2 sides: the makers & the consumer If the maker slows down a bit and go back to 2 shows a y (the spring/summer & the fall/winter) Then the fastfashionbrands need to go slower too (from who els they gonna be stealing or "be inspired by " And if that goes slower then the fastfashionstores have longer thepieces in store (instade of every week or every 2 weeks with new stuff ) so the consumer has : much more time with the pieces they allready got, they will not being in store every new load Also if they really love zara: tip BUY ZARA 2THAND, which is a double win: buying even cheaper but bc its 2thand much so much less on the "trash pile" And about leather &/or faux leather pieces again buy secondhand or vintage in a good quality bc if its a good quality 1 the % is so much higher you can almost have it for life (if you once in a whyle you maintain that item so less animals killed just for leather (but there are more & more brands that choose leather from ""leftover"" that is how i name it, its not the official name, but the cows, pigs, etc.. who or still killed but for their meat etc..is still a better choice then go for special breadfokker who kills the animals for Just their leather. Its not perfect but its so much better
I like the style and colour as it is at the moment, albeit unintentional due to lockdown. So going to leave it a while longer before deciding what's next ❤️
Was going to ask the same thing. I own a lovely Eric Javits straw bag. But cannot wear it on my shoulder with sweaters since my sweater will pill and snag.
I personally haven't had a problem because of what I wear with it (cotton t-shirt, shirts etc), but if you were to wear something like an open weave or a silk then it could definitely happen so you would need to be a bit careful 👍

Also if they really love zara: tip BUY ZARA 2THAND, which is a double win: buying even cheaper but bc its 2thand much so much less on the "trash pile"
And about leather &/or faux leather pieces again buy secondhand or vintage in a good quality bc if its a good quality 1 the % is so much higher you can almost have it for life (if you once in a whyle you maintain that item so less animals killed just for leather (but there are more & more brands that choose leather from ""leftover"" that is how i name it, its not the official name, but the cows, pigs, etc.. who or still killed but for their meat etc..is still a better choice then go for special breadfokker who kills the animals for Just their leather. Its not perfect but its so much better

Was going to ask the same thing. I own a lovely Eric Javits straw bag. But cannot wear it on my shoulder with sweaters since my sweater will pill and snag.
I personally haven't had a problem because of what I wear with it (cotton t-shirt, shirts etc), but if you were to wear something like an open weave or a silk then it could definitely happen so you would need to be a bit careful 👍
