Hi, I tried an ordinary screen protector, but it took away the anti reflective quality of the original screen, until I found Brotec Matte screen protector, not a film but retained the original anti reflective quality and is great for using the S PEN on ,great feel and sound, love your channel and insights 😂😂😂
wow, got mine on for about the same amount of time. I am not seeing any micro scratches. You must have very abrasive thumb skin :). I am still happy with mine. Good to see price is going down. Thanks for posting that. Eventually, these will be available for just $10 like prior versions of the Samsung screen protectors.
@@luissarroarellano4917I know this probably comes too late but thin plastic protectors like this one only protect against scratches, not against having the screen crack upon falling to the ground
I never use a screen protector, so far no major scratches. I have a couple of micro scratches that's only noticeable if you're looking for them with a flashlight 😂😂😂😂
I love the Samsung screen protectors. I had an S22 Ultra and ended up with a load when Samsung had a flash sale. I have just used my last one on my S23 Ultra. It's just a shame Samsung discontinue the accessories when the newer model comes out.
I got the spegian tempered glass, it come 2 in a pack for 17 bucks. Yes it has the glare, but with my dbrand grip case I have had no issues with it cracking, I dont see any micro scratches as of yet. I have had it on my phone for 4 months now.
Do you have any problems with the front-facing camera? I've seen that this exact screen protector doesn't have a hole for the camera. Are the photos affected by this? And the fingerprint, does it actually work fine with the screen protector?
For me, I love the anti-reflecting screen protector on my S24+. S24+ doesn't come with the coating that S24 Ultra uses so it's more worth on S24+. If there is a tempered glass that comes with anti-reflecting property, I'm taking suggestions. But I haven't found any. But right now, I won't give up the anti-reflecting. It's game changing, it's probably my favorite tech this year.
@rono4592 no it's not hard to miss Theres not a single anti reflection one Flo lab probably the closest I looks everywhere on Amazon but there's not a single anti reflective one Edit: Benks has a good one
I had the ESR screen protector on for 10 months but I'm a light user that works from home. Once I went on vacation to China and actually needed to use my phone a lot (to pay at stores, subway ticket barriers, etc), I got extremely frustrated at how the fingerprint sensor would fail 50-100% of the time when my fingers were dry and finally removed it. Now I remember how amazed at how dark the blacks are thanks to the anti reflective properties of the original screen and the fingerprint sensor is actually usable again. I'm just going to roll with no screen protectors until: 1) screen protector companies also implement anti reflective screens and 2) either phone manufactures stop using ultra sonic fingerprint sensors (my ancient Huawei Mate 9 never had this issue) or some other improvement is made so the sensors are compatible with tempered glass screen protectors.
Do you realize there's a setting to make your fingerprint reader more sensitive while using a screen protector? Also as previously mentioned you should delete old biometrics and reset it whenever adding a new screen protector?
@@andy6302 I did both when I first got my phone since I was already aware that ultrasonic fingerprint sensors had this drawback. I'm still using it without a screen protector and am perfectly content.
Whats the spot on the screen like an inch below and slightly to the right of the camera? You can see it at 5:51 among other times in your video. Just cruious
Great content. I use the Whitestone dome film screen protector for s23 ultra it comes using a UV light like for the glass screen protector. It hardens to almost glass screen protector.
hey Jimmy can you clarify the fortress screen protector, does it do a good job with anti reflective coating? i can't find a review you did so just wondering how it compares to the standard S24U anti reflective coating and anti reflective samsung screen protector please let me know, thank you!
I never use a case or screen protector on any of my phones. I always keep my left pocket empty for my phone. 0 scratches so far. If anything happens, that's what Samsung Care is for...
@@boom5732 lol i dont like screen protectors, i just buy a case that has a bump around the front screen, so the screen is safe if it falls on a flat surface
question abt s24, how do i watch a video without seeing the screenshot button, duration bar, or expansion button on scree. its backwards i want these displays to come up if i tap screen during a video. i dnt want them up by default
It seems like such a ripoff. How in the world is a piece of film cheaper that tempered glass? I know it's business and the bean counters have seen most people like film but cmon. Great video, Jim. Of course I'm a film guy also so I guess I'm part of the problem also. Lol. ❤ 💯 👍
As much as I love glass protectors They never work for me no matter how many times I register my fingerprint and how many times I've registered that one fingerprint. I guess it might be a problem with my actual prints because I've had this issue on my last couple of Galaxy phones. Everytime Samsung drops a new flagship I hope that the issue is better, but unfortunately it doesn't seem so. I did try flolabs new anti Reflective glass screen protector and Torras new protector for the S24 ultra and it had the same fingerprint results on both, so some nicely wasted money there. So I have no choice if I want to keep my sanity other than to use the phone bare or use a film screen protector. I have the Samsung anti reflective screen protector and I'm on my second one because the first one started getting marks on it, the edges were too prominent when I swipe across the screen and I feel like the size of the screen protector is just slightly smaller than the viewable area of the screen. I may just start using the bare phone because at least I have 2 years of Samsung warranty coverage.

Even high quality matte screen protector dulls your screen. This was approved by a proffesional display person. Sources i forgot

your thumb has built in sandpaper?
😂
My biggest problem with this film is that I can feel the edge whenever I do a swipe gesture. Sounds like a little thing but its making me crazy!
This one, I didn't experience that. Maybe because it was close enough to my case
I feel it too. I'm using a Thinborne case on my 24 ultra.

I have such a glass on my Samsung24U and had to enter a pattern because the fingerprint was not recognized directly.
Yes. Zero issues on the Tempered Glass. I would have used it longer bit needed to review this one too
I'm about to replace mine. It's been on since the release still looks great, just a few micro scratches
