Your transparency with your experience in the stationary business is chef's kiss. Your videos are more than loved, they're essential to anyone starting and needing that true introduction and inspiration.
Thank you for continuing to create content like this. Your personal authenticity comes through in every single video you uploaded so far. I really appreciate how you share your thinking and decision making process, it resonates a lot. And absolutely spot on with the standing desk observations, deep same! 😅
Standing desks are great when used properly. You need to mix it up during the day. Standing for 8 hours will exhaust you. I mix it up in 2 hour blocks, and I’ve been doing this for 10 years now. I’ve used the Varidesk on another desk as well as my current L shape autonomous standing desk. I’d recommend it, but it does take time to get used to it.
Thank you for taking the time and for your honesty. I find your vlogs enjoyable and quite helpful😁 And also thanks for presenting the information in a calm, low key manner.
I'm standing at my standing desk while watching... lol! :) I've owned it for about two years and use the standing feature all of the time. I love your channel and appreciate everything you share with us.
I've had a standing desk for almost 3 years and I still use the standing feature! I'll stand when I'm still "warming up" or moving between areas in my office space. I'll sit once I'm ready to settle in for focused work. It's nice feature if I'm feeling antsy or when I need to fit some low effort physical therapy exercises at the desk
I work 8 hours a day at my computer and I go through periods of not using and then using my standing desk. It all depends on how motivated I am for taking care of myself e.g. after watching an inspiring video I'll ride that high for a couple of days to a week or two, I'll stand and even do squats while waiting for something to compile. Or if I'm listening to some types of music I'll stand up so I can dance and work 😄
Thanks for the helpful video! I use my standing desk daily for back/neck pain from a herniated disk. It’s been a game-changer for neck, back, and shoulder relief. When I watch videos I sometimes even stand and do some exercises. Got mine on Amazon for under €150 I think, so I can highly recommend you getting one if you have similar problems ! ☺
Hey ! I got a standing desk that wasnt that expensive (only $700 ) and is wonderful, I can work standing and also what I like the most is that I can adjust it to the perfect height for my arms to ergonomically rest in the keyboard without any limitations.
I just got a standing desk a few days ago, but I actually thought about getting one for years. I use one workspace for home office work, gaming, and personal projects and I don't really have the space to have different places for each activity, which could be beneficial for my concentration and productivity. So I envisioned how I would emulate the environment change for these activities by standing/sitting, but I imagine it is not possible to stand throughout my whole 9-5 workday. I haven't had the opportunity to test this yet, but so far I love the new desk.
I bought a relatively inexpensive adjustable standing desk (roughly $200), and while I don’t work standing still very often, lately I have been using my walking pad under it and walking for an hour or two per day. It does make things a little interesting while I try to type, but it helps prevent me from getting tired throughout the day
Great video, I do use the standing function daily, not really while working, but when I consume content or learn something, when watching videos I can also move a bit and lift some weight haha
I use my standing desk like 5% of the time. i honestly forget that it can stand but for those days that my back hurts from long hours on the computer, its very nice to have
standing desk doesn'y have to be expensive: I have the Flexispot model which i bought on sale on Black Friday. I just got the E7 pro legs and slapped and IKEA bekant tabletop (I wanted the 80cm of depth to be able to have monitor and keyboard while enough space to have a a4 x 2pages (i guess that's A3 size) size book between the keyboard and monitor. Total cost probably about 400USD but the cheapest I seen with other Flexispot models is 250USD for the set ( and you can probably get one for 200USD if you buy just the legs + a linmon to trotten ikea table top). I do stand and the important thing is to change position (which the Flexispot has a timer that can let you know). Even if you don't stand, each person's limbs and torso are kinda different so you can set it to be the perfect ergonimic height for the joints of your arms and legs to be at 90 degree. Another thing that I would advise you is to get a monitor arm. Again adjust to the ergonomic height plus reclaim the space back on below the monitor.
One great option for a sit/stand desk is to get the legs only and then attach a solid wood table top from IKEA. I went with the Autonomous AI DIY legs and the whole thing came out to around $450 (with the table top). This allows you to customize the length and table top material pretty well.
Thank you, I just bought the Roland to add to my business. The Cricut is getting super frustrating to make weatherproof stickers. Do you have a tutorial showing how to make sticker sheets with the kiss cuts within? Thank you!
Hey Tim, I always trust your opinion and the content you create seems honest and upfront. May I ask what your day job is? Have you moved to pursuing your side hustles full time?
Hi Tim, could you do a more in depth shipping video? I’m not understanding if I should be using stamps/regular mailing/envelopes or be using polymailers/ thick mailing envelopes/ buying shipping labels for Canada only shipping. When you use your postage machine are you hand writing in the addresses and the postage stamp in this case acts like a printed shipping label would? I’m just very confused. And do you put a business return address on your envelopes?
Hello, very nice video. And since you are satisfied with your Graphtec, but not that much with your Roland (nowadays), and you didn't use it to cut indeed (so, It doesn't matter to you that it is a print/cut machine), for which printer would you substitute it to keep the same quality? PS: Does Roland use pigmented ink? Meaning that it offers more resistance to sunlight / outside use. thx
Hi, fantastic videos, my question is do you or anyone else know if there is a good pigment ink printer for outside car decals, i"m having a fading issue , I use Koala waterproof sticker paper with Avery Laminating sheets , and the small % of my customers use on cars, that leads to bad feedback. Also where do you go for the mail machine in Canada ? last time I looked into it , it would only make Canadian stamps not US or International. I want to go to a bigger machine that would be good for all weather stickers but most of my stickers are from 1.5" to 4" and the Rolands look like overkill. Thanks for any help AL
My desk, is technically an outdoor table, so its high n has stools. Now the stools are hard and even with a pillow, I get sick of sitting on it and switch to standing. So maybe the key to using a standing desk is to have a not so comfy seat. 🤔
Hey, Marek from Droplo here again! 👋 I commented earlier about a potential collaboration to create a tutorial/review of our Shopify integration. Just wanted to see if you've had a chance to consider it? We think your audience would really benefit from learning about our product sourcing and management tools. Looking forward to potentially working together! 🚀

@@TimKoa honestly yeah, people just being straight with you is probably the most valuable thing when trying to learn. I appreciate you. Subbed.

2 days late to the party but you did it! I was one of the people that asked about equipment. Thanks for listening! ❤

Thank you for sharing your beautiful workspace, Tim!
the mechanical keyboard rabbit hole is real 😂 I know way too much about cherry switches lol
I use a large Time Timer in my classroom. It helps students, especially my autistic kiddos, transition from one activity to the next.

There are definitely times I really want to stand. I may just have to go for it.
I second this. I hardly ever stand, but when I want/need to, the price I paid was totally worth it.
Can you make a vid about software you’re using for the graphtech and roland
Thanks

Almost never use my standing desk in standing orientation. Wasn't ready for this video to be an attack on me for that.
Lol sorry!
What an odd way to interpret this video. No one is attacking you: maybe you are not the centre of the universe like you seem to think.
@@jonyboyjpkhe was only joking lol
Another great video. Thanks.
Hi! what lighting or editing do you recommend for your wonderful soft and yet very clear video?
I have a desk that can lift and lower. I stand for part of the day and sit for the other part. It has been tremendous for me.
Amazing! Thank You! Thank you sharing your considerable experience!
Thanks for watching :)
Thanks for sharing! Can I ask what paper you use in your Roland? And what film do you add after to make it water resistance?
Do you no longer laminate your sticker sheets?
Thanks for sharing! I have a standing desk but definitely do not use it often enough 😅
Thanks for watching!
May I know the sticker sheet size you're using? The laminating sheet and laminating machine as well. 🙏

Hello.
What vinyl are you using for the stickers?
What kind of material are you using for your name stickers?

I'll add it to the list!
Thank you for giving my life meaning.
Thanks for watching! :P
What printer DO you recommend?
Can you post about etsy seo
What sticker sheet does the material come in?
I don't use standing desk function of my desk often.
Hi Tim, curious do you script your videos word for word or with bullet points?
My desk, is technically an outdoor table, so its high n has stools. Now the stools are hard and even with a pillow, I get sick of sitting on it and switch to standing.
So maybe the key to using a standing desk is to have a not so comfy seat. 🤔
This is great but need a starting capital for that.
Cozy TH-cam (like cozy games e.g., Animal Crossing)

I tend to sit at my standing desk…..
I feel like most people do. But I might still get one to see for myself :)
I don’t know your political alignment but please check if your shipping supplies company Uline is something you support. I use granger instead.
Expensive standing desk owner… literally never stand at. Don’t even have it plugged in anymore. It’s huge and heavy. I don’t recommend 😂
