In Uganda the electricity is on a time weekly schedule, 3 days in a week the power is on during the day, the other 2 days the power is on at night and it’s always on during the weekends…. I was born in Uganda now living in Canada.

@@harbisulub if you’re planning on travelling to Uganda. You need both, C-19 vaccination certificate (not the PCR), and Yellow Fever Booklet upon arrival. Also, Visas must be applied for online. Once approved, you print it off and submit it to immigration at Entebbe. Then you get the actual Visa.

That’s terrible, what happened to your friend. Horrible, to say the least. On average, Uganda is one of the safest places I’ve been to. But just like any country, it’s not perfect. I’ve heard stories similar to what happened to your friend, but I’ve never experienced it. I hope you’ll still make the trip, because the good very much outweighs the bad about this country.

It good thing what you're doing. But Uganda is a safe place for foreigners, we actually give them special treatment as "guests". The best thing to do is have a person ( Ugandan) that will accompany you during your visit, life will be easier, they will help navigate the ugandan life. But you will do fine even if you come alone , its safe.
