She's a big girl, but I would be very happy to live aboard! The saloon begs for a LOT of mood, and useful lighting. The cook stove would need some hands on learning to get used to, but it's not much different than a small 3 burner hob. I would convert to 12v, to take advantage of the batteries and solar though. I love a "putt putt putt" engine, but would consider a hospital silencer on that big 4 cylinder. I also love that the stern stove seems to be working. That is a little unusual on current traditional boats. I don't mind the couch on this one, but I think I would exchange it for a more rustic, or period style. And, it still has room for a small dining table and chairs! My decor would extend the traditional look throughout the interior too.
The bedroom is great if you're young and limber, but the lack of storage to me is a problem. Having to walk through the boat to get to your clothes is a bit of a pain I think. The engine is one of those things you either love or hate. This kind of engine needs lots of work to keep pretty because it's part of the charm. And yes it's a "traditional" boat, and requires a special buyer. Personally, I don't think it's my kind of boat, but someone will fall in love, eventually
Could always claim the boatman’s cabin in back and make the front bed for guests and kids. Honestly I’ve never understood MODERN boats made with that aft 30-40%. It feels extremely wasteful of space. I would convert (built from keel up) a diesel electric so you could rely on a much quieter normal operation, and put in a rock tumbler when you want authentic sound. Diesel electric also offers more flexibility in layout and thus more “hotel” space

I would gut the entire engine and convert to diesel electric …. Much easier to reduce ambient noise and if you want the rattle? Plug in a rock tumbler

A tug deck with a bed underneath isn't unique, but it's certainly unusual. Not my style as I prefer headroom over the bed.
