Big thank you for this video!... Done this on the wifes car last week bit of a nightmare on axle stands and absolutely hellish to separate from the block but got there in the end. This was my go to vid and saved me ££, atb. James
Great "how to " Phil, yes very good advice get them sumps covered in some protection here in the North East sea air they last 3-4 years max, including the Abarth`s too as I had the pocket rocket version 1.4 petrol 180bhp , like you said open to elements and loose stones etc
In this day and age, sump pans rotting! Unbelievable - Fiat’s taking the * iss. Looks a sod of a job to do also, especially on ramps laid on your back! I think I would let a garage do that for me. Useful video though for those out there who have no option but for DIY, or are brave souls. 🤔
How have fiat never got a handle on this? This problem existed as far back as the MK1 Punto for crying out loud.
Great video, very clear instructions!! Cheers
Nice one Phil - really well explained.👍
Great video mate

Got my daughters to do, would you recommend a pair of car ramps rather than axle stands?
@@marktaylor6266, ramps would definitely give you a bit more room. Good luck with the job 👍

Great video just saying from North of Newcastle
Nice comprehensive video. Thanks
Very good video and very helpful cheers mate 👍🏻
Great how to video should do more❤
very good video very helpful 👍😊
Well fuck that for a game of soldiers if I ever needed one done it would be going to a garage 😢
Very useful , gives folk a good head start and confidence to tackle these jobs . Main dealer would probably take £500 for that amount of work easily .
£230
Fiat want £250 just for a new sump pan,...jokers.

An alloy sump pan would make way more sense. A very useful video.
Is it worth spraying the new sump in stone chip to give it a layer of protection?
It does
Perfect.
That exhaust is knackered & you can't silicone silicone
Grand job , my advice is pull the dipstick out first 👍👍
That flexi pipe has had it aswell
They should have put an engine tray on them.
i do hope you intend to change the jubilee clip!
Looks like a job that needs a lift, not a job to be done on ramps or axle stands.

Hello mate
Fiats are shocking. I swear they make their sumps from a can of peach slices.
