You have given me so much courage. I've done so many of the things you've discussed. Im supposed to have surgery July 31st and I'm scared. Im 80. You have given me courage. Thank you.

In August of 2021 I had a 1” tumor growing in my spine, before they could figure out which part of my spine, I became a paraplegic! One laminectomy later, no intensive care, I learned to walk again - took about 8 weeks. Glad you are doing well, too.❤
Wow! That’s what they were thinking would happen to me. At least my legs, because of the position. I’m impressed with your recovery. I’m so happy and grateful for you. 👍❤️🩹👍
So happy you are doing well. You look beautiful as usual. Keep doing your videos and Instagram stories. Look forward to seeing more of you! Take care. Big hugs from Ontario, Canada🇨🇦🦋🌺

I'm so glad to see you again! You're amazing. I know how scared you were before surgery, but you have come through it so amazingly well, and I'm so happy for you. You look great!

Welcome back! I was so happy to see you on TH-cam this morning! I’m so glad you are recovering from your surgery. You have been greatly missed! You are so delightful Sandra and you always make me smile. Big hugs coming your way from Palm Desert! 🥰💕
You had mentioned different surgeries you’ve had, but I didn’t know what kind , so now I know. It’s not fun having any surgery. I’m happy you recovered well from what I’ve seen. I love the looks of your necklace. Very unusual looking. Payola binging on your videos. So satisfying watching and listening to you. Thank you. ❤️
So happy that you are doing well! Thanks for all the information on your surgery. I learned from you to do your research, to keep a positive attitude, ask questions, listen to your body, and so much more!! Thank you, again!
Lovely to see you back on TH-cam. I have been watching your progress on instagram and glad to see you recover so well. Very kindest wishes from Tasmania.
So happy to see you are back and feeling strong ! You were definitely missed, but I am happy that you had such positive results. Looking forward to your future “podcasts “
So glad your back and feeling good. I know just how you felt when finding out you need surgery. I had a herniated disk, knee replacement, hip replacement, and total mastectomy. So glad you're doing well! It really is all in your attitude that you fly through this things. I also found Brenda Gantt a few months ago, isn't she a hoot!!! She keeps me smiling and laughing. I think I even start talking with that wonderful Southern accent, it's contagious..... I am fascinated watching her making her biscuits and pie crust in that big bowl of flour!!!! I have wanted to start a tube account but I hear of all the crazy people and haters out there, so I still haven't gotten the urge to go for it.. So happy you're back, take your time and keep moving! Happy Valentine's Day!!!
First of all. You’ve been through the mill. Wow. Glad it’s behind you. I too love that flour bowl. Amazing how she makes biscuits. Love watching her do it. Don’t worry about crazy people and haters. You can turn them off. Just do it. Start a channel. I haven’t had one hater. Maybe one. Just do it! Yes Happy Valentine’s Day to you too!❤️
Thanks for your support. You are a strong and helpful person. Also would love to see your art work. We collect art and are always looking for new pieces. Thanks, 🍾🥂
Welcome back!!!!! You are so right about preparing for surgery. Physical , nutrition, even skin care. I had triple bypass a year ago Oct. After surgery you are to stand up from a sitting position without using your hands to help you. Unless you are in great shape , or young, it's pretty hard after surgery , or really anytime if you are not in shape. No one tells you to get those legs strong. Even if you only have a few weeks before surgery, do what you can. Eat Plenty of protein and good skin care and leg excersises. Why this is not told to a patient ahead of time I will never know. It was so hard to get up from a chair or toilet after surgery . If you use your hands to push up, you were in danger of splitting open your chest!!!! .my daughter had to help me get up for a couple of weeks. This rule is for about 4 weeks and i cheated alot when i had no help and worried about my chest. . Anyway, you sound like you are doing fabulous . So glad you are back. Very informative information that anyone facing back surgery would do well to watch. ❤
Thank you. You know you're right. No one tells you how to prepare for surgery. I just knew that I needed to prepare my heart. That is interesting about not opening the incision. No one ever talks about that. I know at this age I need to eat more protein. Glad you've mended. We're all warriors.
@@SandraSallin Sandra. When they cut open your chest and cut and spread your ribs to get to your heart, after the surgery they put your ribs back together and keep them together with a metal clamp that is permanent. With any pressure early on after surgery the clamp can be torn and the chest split open. I actually saw this happen last week on the show Chicago fire. I was horrified!!! Yikes!!!!
@@SandraSallin it was replacing arteries that were blocked with other arteries or veins. Bypass surgery must be different than valve replacement. It's intense. Younger patients probably do better . I had complications after as well. So that didn't help. On top of that I have asthma that is usually controlled but that was involved too. Uggh!!!!
Thank you Sandra, looks like you handled everything perfect, after my big surgery I joined the YMC A and I go to the swimming pool and exercise every week when you are able to bend I would recommend water exercises. It will take awhile but I think you will be your old self again soon. Bea
