Cleared this one tonight as my first ever 18 as a no bar player. Definitely more approachable than most others, although this stepchart is totally nonsensical
This chart makes absolutely no sense. The entire song is 200 bpm and there is no real reason for any of the tempo changes. The part with the freezes and stops around 1:00 is just moronic. The music has a similar pattern throughout yet sometimes there is a stop and sometimes there is not. Impossible to do well unless you have completely memorized the sequence. If you could play the song on C550 or whatever the song would be a 16 and only then because of the one hard run at the end. No idea why people would think this is fun, then again I have never seen anyone play this so I guess I am not alone.
Yeah this is not my idea of fun, although I certainly learned what I could do on charts to piss people off lol. C550 would probably put this chart among 17s.
DDR SuperNOVA - DDR X didn't want to go further in terms of bpm and step count Gimmicks where the next available way to increase difficulty. This is why boss songs from this era are riddled with stops, harsh slowdowns and speed ups, 600 max step counts and strange foot patterns. The gimmicks created a sense of difficulty until you memorised the song. After that the songs feel easier. Still, pluto relinquish and paranoia hades deserve to be 18's for their death runs alone.
@@E24KLawson It's not because CS are sucks, this was stopped because of the songs are too brutal to play since DDR II (Wii), and people are using a controller instead of the dance pad.
I love how the charter got bored at 0:37-0:40 and put in random little rhythms. It's honestly hilarious.
I was about to comment almost the same thing, it's as if the stepchart artist got bored of the song and it shows in the chart lol
after all these years seeing this chart I've always thought the same thing but I never thought anyone else would mention anything about it
Forced ghost steps
charters back then have style, they dont just follow the song's rhythm, they create them
The slowdown at 1:39 is probably one of the most underrated DDR slowdowns ever

Always felt like an easy 18. The notes are easy to read, like 888.
Most overcharted chart in official DDR history.
On a flat BPM, this would be a moderate 17.
The awkwardness is what makes it feel like an 18 to me.

Completely agree with you. Simply tedious and pointless.

I have to agree with you. Really great song ruined by a bad step chart. Not that I have any plans to touch a level 18 song, so it doesn't matter.
And that song came from the worst DDR game.

The first ever 18-footer. Songs prior to the X-scale era like Pluto Relinquish and PARANOiA ~HADES~ on Challenge don't count.
E24K Lawson MaxX Unlimited (X Special) is also an 18. TLOM (X Special) was also an 18 at the time.
Mr Ninjagon That was after the American console release of DDR X. The arcade cabinets didn't come out until 2009.
No! Healing-D-Vision is the first.
Fascination Maxx and HDV were 18s way before this wha

I think i can do this as my first 18
Did you do it?

Passing 17.1
Scoring 18.5 or some shit
Fun af tho people who think this chart is bad or overcharted are bad themselves.
This is a 17.
I just liked this. Now it's an 18. The chart rating says it itself. But it is pretty much a 17 footer imo.
One of the harder 18s
i am joking
Honestly is pretty difficult for scoring
これ18の中でも弱いと思ってる、明らか東北より簡単
