Fascinating...it occurred to me that I'd like to have that little metal teapot away and upcycle it as a plant container...sad but true 😉
I don't think I'd dare pull anything from that stack..who knows how stable it is, or isn't!!!

I keep seeing all these amazing tunnels in Notts! I’m born and bred here and have always had an interest in abandoned or derelict places! I need to visit some of these tunnels. Just need to find a partner to join me because when you’ve seen as many horror films as me you definitely aren’t venturing there alone 😂. Great content x

Mapperely Tunnel is rumoured to haunted by a ghost train so definitely don't be venturing alone!

Podders scrap yard chucked most of that crap down the shaft,
they had a yard next to the shaft, they sold the land to Barratt homes around 30 years ago

I wonder why it was put down there and what was inside the caravan before it was dumped there and 50 years worth of rubbish added on top? ⚠️🤔😲
I'd also love yo know what is above the 'crap.stack' at ground level and why people think it's a rubbish dump, it must be fairly accessible to have so much rubbish and a caravan out down there?
Great video, appreciate your rummage around the yucky contents of the stack, those McDonald's toys were cute, such a shame!

Hi there. The ventilation shaft is clearly visible above ground. It's in the back garden of the Pepperpots Scout Hut (look it up on Google Earth, you'll see it easily). My theory is that people would just drive into the yard and dump stuff down it. From the look of things it's mainly decorators and contractors.

@@lorisarvendu Yeah I figured it was a ventilation shaft but they tend to build them quite high, like a turreted chimney and make a feature of it like a tower structure so they are inaccessible to people throwing things down there, especially when the trains were running.
I just wondered why this one in particular is used to dump things and not the others?🤔😲
Appreciate your insight and the location of the shaft above ground.👍
