Probably because there wasn't an RV-20. These are "new" versions of the original double pedals, the DD-20, OD-20, EQ-20, etc. (Except they made an MD-200 instead of a CE-200?) But honestly, they should do an RV-200. Makes sense.
With this ''new'' design it is not Boss for me !!! They lost their unique and easily recognizable unique design in a favour of simply stupidly primitive design of many others brands. Such a shame!!! It's disgusting !!!
It’s a completely different series to their classic, single function pedals while being a more immediately tweakable version of the studio-oriented 500 series. The design reflects that. It’s not like their classic pedals have disappeared though. You can still buy them if that is the form factor you prefer. Were you expect ing they could cram the 500 series into a classic, single function pedal?
I think Boss as well as others have to drop the full "PAD" switches on their pedals. Today, even with digital pedals you have to connect external footswitches, and even if they're made by Boss they don't look anything near like the old quadratic/square rubber pads. You get more switches on board at the same real estate space. What I would like since those "pads" are sturdy and last long, is to license from German Lehle, who has the grace and hospitality to sell their footswitches now as parst to anyone, i e not needing to buy their pedals. They last forever too, even more so than Bosses. Also in the realm of Digital Delays, and time/modulatied effects pedals the TAP tempo works considerably better with the regular type of footswitch, than the old square pad ones. You nail the tempo closer, especially the faster ones. I remember hooking up an external footswitch, to an old echo pedal from boss and I moved the function of tap from the onboard footswitches (which was the Boss kind) to the external one and it performed so much better. The large "pad" ones turned way too sluggish for such a function.
Love the eq pedal could shape any overdrive or amp possibilities endless, great vid 👌👍🏻
Seems odd there's no RV-200. There's a lot to like about this series.
I really don't get them not doing an RV200.
@@Danthehorse theres an rv-200
Hi, would you ever do a tutorial on how to program these pedals to a mid selector?
Hi Great Video. How you connect the pedals via midi to program a preset thank you
I dig your demos, they are more realistic to a real live band dynamics...
The OD-200 is awesome buying one
crazy sound

Got to keep up with the competition. The OD-200 has tons of overdrive pedals in one box for $250 ...Versatile bargain
Oh good Lord.

Those are all understandable points but anyway!
