Why can't these people realize that respecting an obese person as a human being and knowing that their lifestyle is unhealthy is not mutually exclusive? I mean, seriously "Hey, we both put on some weight during Christmas, wanna get a gym membership together?" "OMG YOU ARE DENYING MY HUMAN RIGHTS!!"
As some started saying, those people are too lazy to put in the effort of losing weight so they use the mask of victims to try and make the world work around them
I'm fat myself and the fat acceptance movement is disgusting. Encouragement to lose weight is not fat phobic. It's someone not wanting to see you in an early grave
Unfortunately when speaking of the internet- most of the "encouragement" to lose weight - has nothing to do with your health, and it is rarely encouraging. It's is hard to believe, but strangers on the internet that are trying to humiliate you- do not care about your health, they do not care if you die, they do not care if you suffer, they just want a good laugh, and they do not care if it is at your expense. putting you down, makes them feel better about whatever shortcomings they have in their own life.

but just for reference, someone who is recovering from an ED (ED trigger warning obviously) people actually use plus size people and mukbangs to inspire them to not eat, and it is this big thing on ED social media and EDTWT. They built a whole culture around fatphobia and triggering themselves, so they join these communities basically to laugh at other people. they call this "fatspo" or (short for fat inspo) and it is a completely normal and accepted occurrence on certain ED areas of the internet. It is incredibly harmful to people with ed's because it's basically inspiring them to starve to death, so suggesting that the person seek help for losing 10 kgs using her as inspiration is a giant hallmark for someone with an ED.
@oh 🐟So if it’s a choice, why would someone choose to be an overweight? I guess it could be for eating a ton and being a lazy, but still, eating less and exercise for having a normal weight is way better.
@@unutenteinnecesario2941 They don’t necessarily choose to be overweight. To be precise, it’s not being overweight what they choose, that’s just the consequence of many small choices. For example, when you go out to shop and choose to buy cakes and snacks instead of fruit and vegetables, that’s one small choice you made. When it’s time to eat and you choose to order a couple burgers instead of making yourself a decently healthy meal at home, that’s another small choice. And when you’re finally home and have time to do whatever, instead of going out for a run you choose to watch a movie and eat snacks, that’s yet another small choice. We make many small choices every day. Some of them are better, others are worse. By itself, a single small choice won’t do much. But when you make multiple, they start adding up. If you keep on making choices that are bad for your health, you’ll eventually see the consequences. And that’s why a lot of people are overweight. Most of them didn’t decide that they wanna be overweight, they didn’t make that choice, they just continuously chose unhealthy foods over healthy ones, and resting over being active, and those things made them overweight in the end.
Being concerned for an obese person is not ‘fatphobic’ Being obese does not make you ugly Being a thin, but formerly obese does not make you ‘fatphobic’ But being obese, is just objectively unhealthy
Yeah... I've been called fatphobic and a "traitor" (I'm unhealthily overweight) multiple times simply because I said I was trying to lose weight or because I told the person they were unhealthy and needed to lose pounds. ffs, most of the people I called unhealthy were complaining about simple tasks being overbearing, like BREATHING. And they wondered why.
Exactly. Some people have even less control of their bodies, sometimes because of certain conditions they might have been born with. Those people have to actively work and work each day to make sure their body stays healthy, as many of these people should. A good amount of exercise and a good diet isn't hating on yourself, it's self care:( I don't know when people forgot that.
yeah right now I'm losing weight and told some kid and they said I'm fat phobic I hate the body that I'm in but I'm getting skinny slowly i want to be thin cause it's better for me
I mean with how many people die that's not obese die every year compared to those who are obese is basically "10% of like 1000" to "10% of 1,000,000,000"
I’ve seen one obese person in her late 60’s and she died shortly after (at least with blonde hair still) I always thought she was regular fat (stages below obese)

As someone who used to be 150kg but managed to slim down to 84kg, the fat acceptance movement scares me. Whenever I hear people saying it's fat-phobic to lose weight because they're too obsessed with beauty, I get a little bit confused. The reason why people don't want to be fat is because of the health factor. Both Mental and Physical of course, it's because being too thick has so many cons that it becomes unbearable. Some of the cons I experienced were: high blood pressure, lack of endurance, high risk of contracting diseases, and so much more.
@@yachhat8849 also you just have to keep pushing bruv, it might seem hard now but it's pretty easy Not to mention you get a boat loss of rewards, from health benefits, emotional, and even social benefits
the whole problem with this is that the whole “fat acceptance” movement started off with very good intentions because bigger people are usually seen as unattractive or undesirable, so the objective was to make them feel beautiful regardless of society’s standards because that is true, no one deserves to feel bad just because of the way they look. but slowly the movement turned into embracing unhealthy lifestyles and being overweight which is NOT OKAY!! we are not saying you are ugly, we are asking you to be healthy! don’t promote habits that could get people killed please!!!!!!
@@chibi_okami "Stop saying fat people cannot be healthy, you're directly saying that fat people should be unhealthy by being skinny, and you're being racist towards our people" - twitter
at some point since it started skinny people were being called fatphobic for being...skinny...yes, to the point where ''skinny'' (which were just normal weighing) creators were being harassed online for not being 250 pounds of fat, oil and grease. let's also mention the fact the fat acceptance movement isn't even OK in the first place, because you shouldn't be encouraging them to be happy about being fat, you should be encouraging them to lose weight to be happy. It's the good ol' story of ''give a man a fish you feed him for a day, teach a man how to fish you feed him for a lifetime''
although from a survivalistic point of view, being obese (your height -100cm should be your maximum standard weight, take 5-10kh, +5 to 15 or 20kg to that is obese. example: I'm 166cm, my ideal weight would be 60-66kg, however I weigh around 72-74kg, which means I am obese, now, being *obese* isn't half bad, this means your body, if in a situation without food, will have a good amount of fat to burn before you start starving to death, in fact, if you go without food for about 7 days, you should be able to lose about 1-1,5kg, obviously this is putting yourself trough malnourishment in the first 3-4 days before your body starts burning away the stored fat for nutrients so that it can function, but once it hits the phase you won't even feel hungry anymore, do keep in mind if you're for some reason gonna do this, 7-8 days should be a limit, because you can only go so far safely. so in the long run, being ''obese'' isn't bad bad, it might have some benefits in unlikely scenarios, but again, being your height to weight ideal would be very good, because you don't wanna be too skinny either. +note: being too skinny isn't good either, you look like a comically large branch, however, there are actual metabolism disorders that prevent one from even gaining weight, I have a friend who can eat thousands of calories a day and gain maybe 0,5kg, just to lose them on the walk to the store.
Biologically, it is suitable for women to have some weight to assist in child bearing, and with both sexes you have to put on some weight to convert it to muscle mass. However. I don't see how it could be any _more_ attractive to be fat than not. Yeah, it doesn't make you ugly, especially not inside, but you're not exactly beautiful on the outside. It's undesirable, objectively
I'm fat and I get the body positivity movement, but condoning morbid obesity is incredibly different. There's a fine line between accepting different body types and allowing someone to bring themselves onto the verge of death/severe medical issues.
I know right, there is more people who die from obesity than getting killed or something like that, there is nothing wrong with body positivity but obesity is just no
I'm so fucking happy to see a TH-camr talking about this. Let me give you some background, I'm a chef of 5 years, I also have been working as a dietary aid at my local hospital for a short while, and not only is obesity a problem, but the delusion and acceptance behind it is wrong as well. For some people, they CAN legitimately be thinking they barely eat, but the problem is what they're eating. Pasta is a good example, barely any nutrition and very carbohydrate dense. For example, the spaghetti I have is 310 calories for 85g, that's only 3/8th's of a cup, cooked the pasta absorbs water and expands but let's just ignore that for now, considering most people don't count their food and eat more then they think. So let's say a full bowl is 2 cups, plus sauce, meat maybe, etc., and you're looking at over 1000 calories, for a bowl of spaghetti. To put that into perspective, an egg has 78 calories, and is full of nutrients, some people may not enjoy eggs but it's a good example. Knowledge and acceptance needs to be spread, it's bad enough adults are dying at a young age, but it hurts me to see obese kids everywhere, their parents, whether they know it or not, are killing them. The sad thing is, most of them know, but they're so stuck in their own delusion and refuse to educate themself, that they don't care. I was one of these kids, guess what? I was actually diagnosed with an under active thyroid, a condition called hypothyroidism. I used that as an excuse, cause that's what everyone around me did. Now, I stopped taking those meds, I live healthy, I eat healthy, and I'm a very lean, fit individual. Calories in calories out is the only thing that matters, protein is very important as well for keeping/gaining muscle mass and to help you function better mentally even, sodium matters for many reason, carbs should be limited, but forget all that, calories in, calories out. If you want to lose weight, you need to be in a caloric deficit. I'm on a traditional bulk right now, but I eat healthy, the average male needs 2300 calories or so a day, I eat 3500, but cause it's healthy and mostly made up of protein/low carb, I'm gaining muscle mass instead of just purely fat. If you're eating foods that aren't beneficial and healthy, you will just get fat, FAST. Moral is, you live one life, and there are people who care about you and don't want to see you accepting your own death because you can't handle the truth. If you're fat, you're fat, and there are things you can do about it, don't listen to people who haven't researched a god damn thing in their life online, they aren't there for you, they are there for themself and to get reassurance from others who are just as bad as they are. Edit: I'm not saying anything wrong about adults who have some extra weight or who aren't societies idea of "fit". We live in a generation with tons of processed and unhealthy foods, even foods that seem healthy. I'm talking about people who are by all definition, unhealthy and pushing this agenda on those who are the most vulnerable to it.
Here's my hot take (aka my opinion) What we should really be accepting is people's *natural* bodies. If you work hard and try your best to keep yourself healthy, and you still have a tummy or a little bit of extra skin, you're great and beautiful. BUT, if you lie on the couch, eat the worst type of food imaginable (not even sure most of it can even be called food), and never even step outside unless you're taking your food order to go eat on the couch, then sorry but no. I fully understand how hard it is to get up off of said couch, but this whole "body positivity" movement makes the whole thing even harder then it was, because you'll have even less motivation. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk, here's a burrito for you :) 🌯
Agreed, if you try to stay healthy but are still a bit chubby, it's not going to cause any health problems so it's fine, but promoting obesity and saying it's okay to be unhealthy and not trying to change it is wrong. And thanks for the burrito, I love burritos :)
definitely agree, there's no shame in being whoever you are as long as you're putting in the effort in trying to be better. in a sense, it's absolutely okay not to be okay, as long as you keep on fighting
Yeah, my knees were destroyed when I was just a kid. I'm obese (by BMI, slimmer than this dude by a fair bit), but I hate people pushing me either way. A big issue is it's nearly impossible to know how hard somebody is trying unless they fit into one of the extremes. like people too fat to walk or dudes built like a heroin addict that works construction.
I agree. It’s the people like the ones in this video who put “body positivity” to shame. Body positivity used to mean loving yourself for the things you can’t change, or loving yourself while you work on becoming healthier. Not being fat, making videos about why losing weight is fatphobic, and continuing to eat yourself into a coma. Working out and eating healthy is definitely going to be hard at first but it’s possible and you should keep trying to be your best self.
I was on the fat acceptance train for a short time. (This is a long post btw). When I was very obese, 225 pounds, I got down to 175lbs because I wanted to fit into my mom's prom dress. I wasn't able to zip it up when the time came, it was barely too small. My mom's reaction was mocking me for being fat to begin with. She said stuff like "well if you started exorcising and dieting a year ago, you wouldn't be in this situation." To add insult to injury, she donated the dress and I never saw it again. I was an impressionable 17 year old, so yeah, I didn't take it well. Later that year I somehow fell down the fat acceptance rabbit hole. I soon gave up on diet and exorcise. I brainwashed myself into thinking being fat was no big deal, and that I couldn't change my "natural body shape". In less than two years I reached my highest weight (282) and I was bruising/straining muscles in my sleep from how obese I was. At some point I broke my ankle falling off my bed, and was SO embarrassed that I told the doctor that I slipped and fell in the shower! Only now at 22 years old, I am back down to 210lbs and I'm at the gym nearly every day. It's sad to think that because I had no support system, and I faced constant ridicule for the way I looked, I ended up making things worse for myself by seeking body positivity advice from strangers online. Eating disorders, social anxiety, self-esteem issues (etc), I have them all to this very day. What's worse is that teenagers may go down the same path, since fat acceptance is being popularized on social media. It doesn't help that you have people on the opposite side of the spectrum mocking people who are obese, which can affect these people mentally and cause more severe issues. It's just a giant mess no matter how you tackle it. Edit: I want to thank everyone for their kind words. I've had another relapse but I'm NOT giving up!! You're all amazing human beings.

Lol tell me about it, ppl tell me I shouldn't be going to the gym since I'm underweight, but it's only now that I can successfully do pushups...so gymming is not all losing body mass but improving fitness

I'm also underweight, it's not because I having an eating disorder, it's because I have a jaw problem since I was a kid. It still hurt sometimes, and I can't eat as fast as average person, I can't eat hard food, my teeth is also... I dunno broken? It doesn't shape like healthy teeth. It tought me discipline, it changed the way I'm eating and I prolly never started to extend my cooking and eating skills/mindset from it. I lost 40 Kilos (85 pounds or 1410 ounces of diet coke for the americans) and never felt better. The only thing was that I rushed into it and now have enough excess skin for a whole couch, maybe would be better if I'd gone slower like RADAL did.
Wait, can i ask a question? So the reason someone have an excess skin is because they diet or working out too fast? And if someone doing it slowly how does this work to make people to have less excess skin? Thanks btw.

@@starkiller3490 The skin is really flexible and will stretch out allot. but if you lose weight too quickly the skin can't adapt fast enough and form these remnants of skin. People 'glorifying' being overweight or fat are mostly just people in denial or cannot accept the truth that one day, being in this weight, it will bore consequences.
Glad to hear that! Keep working on your diet, not because you want to be socially accepted (but its still okay if that motivates you) but because it is the healthy thing to do!
My doctor gave me a great advice when I was just starting to lose weight. And that was to take a photo of everything I ate or drank that day. Not to show anyone, not to count calories. But so I could go though it at the end of the day and try to be a bit mindfull about it. I forgot i had eaten a surprising ammount of meals, and the snacks all added up wasn't just snacks at all. I only did it for a week, but it greatly helped me, and now I can think about "do I really want to eat this, or is it just a habit to reach for it"

As someone who was an obese child growing up, whenever my mom would tell me to lose weight, I would cry over it back then. After a couple of years of the same backwards mentality, I decided to finally make a change for myself and lost 33 pounds after about a year and a half of hard work and dieting. The Fat Acceptance movement is very childish because it is made up of people who think any kind of weight loss encouragement equates to bullying which was literally the same mindset I had when I was 8 years old, but that is not true. There is a major problem with obesity in the United States with a 35% obesity rate in adults and a 19% obesity rate in children. Movements like these only cause the numbers to go higher because they try to flip weight loss encouragement and make it out to be some sort of hate speech while people actually just want to help you and see your health improve. I appreciate RADAL for speaking up on this as it is a very bad issue.
I'm questioning what they're up to. If there going to raid like a mall cus they don't sell a fucking chessburger or something like that. I would cringe at that.
If I remember correctly, I just cut all bread and fried foods from my diet, drank more water (one cup of water per meal), ate a smaller amount than usual of whatever my mom would cook for dinner, and limited myself to only breakfast and dinner between whenever I would wake up - 8 PM. Everyone’s bodies are different so this may not work for everyone but it worked for me without having to change my original diet drastically. I basically ate less and moved more.
i know the feeling it is indeed hard but no matter how slow the progress is, keeping consistency matters more I lost 16kgs (i had to bcoz of health issues) and ngl I often felt disheartened during the process but I managed to hold on and though still now I haven't reached the target, I am proud of myself for not giving up
Try to balance your food perfectly and avoid oversugary and greasy products. Priviledge fruit, vegetables and lean meat and try to do some exercise. It will not make you lose 50 kg in a week but in a longer period of time, results should be quite obvious. That's what my brother did when he was 19, he weighted 130 kg, he weighted only 105 after using these methods (and he's quite big boned so he can't really loose much more). So yea, things are possible to lose weight, you just gotta earn it

We are both really proud of him and he dosnt have to worry about his health anymore. It's worth the effort, not just for you but for your family. They don't want to lose you.
I’m fat myself and lately I’ve been losing weight and I’m really happy about it. All of the people this guy has shown makes me feel weird because of how they think it’s healthy and okay but it’s not. ( you have earned a new sub btw)
I'm losing weight for ME. When that girl said that ex-fat people are the worst because fat phobia was engrained into us... girl... can I not lose weight in peace and feel good about myself? Bruh, I started exercising and my health has gotten better. Curious.
YES. I hate when people assume someone who is doing something FOR THEMSELVES is doing that thing to spite or impress someone else. Like no- most of the time people do things to help/improve themselves, not just to make random people on TikTok angry 💀
you can do it!! the earlier you do it, the better. make it simple and sustainable. more whole foods like fruits, veggies, nuts, and grains, drink plenty of water, and get some activity in that you enjoy at least a few times per week. i tried out tons of different workouts before i found something that i love doing. for me it's just walking and jogging. best of luck. i believe in you. if my fat food obsessed ass can do it and lose 95 lbs, i know you can do it lol. :^)
I’m someone that’s been a lil’ chubs since I was like, 2 and I think seeing people like you is actually pretty comforting and yes. The fat acceptance movement is kinda bullshit, I literally once got called fatphobic when I tried celebrating the fact I lost 30kilos in about 7 months
People who getting offended for being happy when hurting no one is stupid, anyways congrats for losing 30 kilos!!!! as someone who is a lil chubby too, u are amazing!!!!
Being rude to overweight people isn’t acceptable since its their body and you shouldn’t shame someone, but saying it’s not dangerous isn’t fat phobia that’s just common sense
Being a coach and trainer for over a decade now, this whole “fat phobia” situation is crazy. Like, so what? Maybe a person doesn’t want to get fat because they don’t like how that looks. It doesn’t make them “fatphobic”, I means they have personal boundaries. I’m 5’7. You know how many people won’t date me because I’m not tall enough for them? Yet I don’t go around saying they’re “heightphobic”. Those preaching “fat phobia” are those trying to find new ways of accepting themselves, but then blaming other people and trying to shame others. It’s very radical.
And its all coming from 20 something year old women that expect everyone to accept them and love them, but that ain't how the world works. Like I rarely see obese dudes talkin about body positivity and fat acceptance. I feel that the men understand that being obese is not a positive thing its just that a lot of them may be too anxious or too lazy to get started on a weightloss regiment. I also hate the overuse of the word phobia nowadays like no it's not a phobia. Most people out here that advocate for a healthy lifestyle aren't afraid of you. If they were you would see people panicking and running for the hills at the mere sight of you, but no they aren't.
I feel like its good to accept people for who they are and be kind, but at the same time don't encourage people to be unhealthy. You can do that without bullying and hatred though.
Exactly, if someone's overweight, I am not gonna hate them just because of that?? I'm overweight, too (175lbs). But I'm also not going to sit there and tell them they are the healthiest people and they don't need to change anything but their lifestyle, that'd promoting and eating disorder. But if they want me to support them in their weight loss journey, I will! I will live the people I love no matter what, but that doesn't mean I will love their lifestyles, and I don't have to
“having ducking heart problems is healthy so instead of losing some weight becuase people bully you and you have a 3 times more chance to die from heart problems keep going weight”
No. A good portion of the FA movement is pool of racists and disgusting ppl that despise thin ppl I’m not going to be nice to someone that consistently compares being fat to blackness. No. That’s racist and disrespectful
Exactly a lot of people are fat because of depression and they cope with food so bullying and being rude is the wrong thing to do only assholes do that you should encourage and if that doesn’t work then u can give them tough love there’s a difference between tough love and bullying

Congrats man. I’m practically in the same boat: overweight all my life, peaked 102kg last May, had a small health scare and decided to at long last get healthy. After a year of daily exercise (no gym, just static exercise at home with no equipment) and counting calories (not denying myself food I like, just changing quantities), I got my weight down to 82kg, and I feel fantastic. I’m aiming for around 75kg to finally be in the ‘healthy’ BMI range, though I will see what my body accepts as a stable weight in time. I have a large chest so I know I will never be properly skinny, but I just want to be healthy. Edit: Okay, I was not prepared for this amount of support from total strangers. I can’t thank you all enough for your kind words, you’ve given me the boost I needed to push for the finish line. I’ll update this comment when I reach my goal. Again, thank you everyone.
Good Job! Very Proud Keep it up! here u go a target from a Stranger from the internet. reach 75Kg. Gym. idk how your social life is or whatever, But go get 3 - 1 Crazy mf's get a gym member ship. If ur worried about your chest make sure to workout 3 days a week. instead of Aiming to be Skinny, Aim into being In shape / In Cut / or What I am now In Bulk. Dont aim into being Skinny Use that "fat" u have to create a Muscle out of them. Ive been overweight for the same time as you are and now Im happier and I like myself better. You Rock! ~Internet Stranger named Kiko.
from 102 to 82 wtffffff congrats man! I'm at my peak rn (88) and aiming for a 75 too. It just feels like I have no time to excercise and pay attention to my calories.
I was usually called fat man at my local church they only did it as jokes and I understand they keep motivating me to lose weight etc. and then after quarantine because of their encouragement I lost 7 kg, so when people tell you to lose weight just take it as a challenge I would rather have people that go “you gotta lose those fats of yours” then someone who goes “its ok to be fat embrace it and don’t care about it”
Ikr? I had a friend that kept mocking my huge belly and I always laughed with him and took it as a challenge to lose weight, now I lost about 6 kg in 2 months and I am proud of my progress and actually thankful for the guy.
As a fat person this movement IS SO FUCKING STUPID😂 sure you shouldn’t judge people for how they look but THIS IS SO HILARIOUS. The reason I’m overweight is because my parents went through an ugly divorce and I developed an eating disorder because of my anxiety blah blah blah don’t worry about my sob story. anyways this movement is just an excuse for people to not be healthy and take care of themselves they’re doing it for attention because their parents don’t love them and didn’t give them attention as a child they’re throwing fits over shit you would see in a kindergarten classroom it is so fucking goofy. Don’t use acceptance as a way to be unhealthy and not deal with the consequences at least I’m actually trying to lose weight have a good day guys.(just in case you were wondering I have lost 30 pounds in the past 3 months and I’m balancing my meals better so it’s going well i’m 20 pounds away from being the appropriate weight for my height) it’s not hard to lose weight you just have to try
As a verified fatty, just a couple of notes - I have a thyroid condition which makes it really hard to lose weight on my own, so that’s a real thing. I’m slowly getting to a healthy weight with the help of my endocrinologist though (it’s incredibly difficult but worth it). There are a couple of other things that actually happen like doctors not treating fat people well because they assume the illness is from being overweight, and of course the stigma faced by those living in a fat body… so they’re not wrong as such. Accepting oneself for who you are and learning to love yourself at any size is an antidote to that stigma, so in that aspect the fat acceptance and body positive movements are doing some good. I have found that it’s the self love that makes me want better for myself and and has banished a lot of the insecurities I feel about my body to the point where I proudly go on runs and no longer care what some bogan has to say about my fat arse running past his house. Where it gets messy is when these fat acceptance angry types start encroaching on other peoples body autonomy, it was very disheartening to see so many “you running for weight loss is fatphobic” comments on my insta… like girl you do you, I just want to exist in a way that makes me happy. I could go on about this topic all day, so I’ll just close saying thanks for the laughs and well done. Signed, a fat woman in her 30s 👍
@@eddsilva4212 it took doctors like a year to diagnose me because I was “too young to have thyroid disease” and they assumed my hair falling out, lethargy and irregular period was because I was overweight. I had to find a doctor willing to do a thyroid function test and give me a referral to a specialist; I’ve been medicated ever since.
I'm not naturally fat. I only became overweight after I had a major depressive episode and ended up overeating. I don't diet, but I've been eating the amount I normally ate before and have been slowly losing weight. But bruh, these people would probably call me fat phobic for wanting to weigh a normal amount again. I want to lose weight because I gained it all when I when I was in a horrible mindset and acknowledging all of it just reminds me about how terrible I allowed that time to be without seeking help. These people are also hypocritical because they often criticize skinny people that want to gain weight but are unable to due to biological or medical reasons.
I felt that last part, I'm 92 pounds at 13, and I've wanted to be at least 100 pounds. I've never actually been able to gain weight, even if I eat a lot. Then people want to get mad at me for wanting to look like I'm not underweight
@@camskayzz5169 It's not about eating a lot in one sitting, you have to eat throughout the day and consume enough calories to actually gain weight. If you eat oats or soup which are usually low in calories you won't actually be eating enough, even though they'll satiate you and you might full and happy.
@@LoLaSn I have a similar condition. Sometimes it's just not possible to gain weight with specific metabolism. I don't know the details but from what I understand there's a bacteria or enzyme in the stomach that's supposed to take care of storing the calories into fat tissues and well they just aren't doing their job or they aren't enough of them. Anyway I'm the kind of person that gets skinnier on holidays because I workout less even though I eat very unhealthy meals for weeks. I'm 27 and only managed to be like q year or two combined in a "normal" body state, meaning my ribs were no longer visible. It's not that rare and it doesn't matter how healthy people like me eat or behave, we just aren't meant to put on weight until 40-50 years old. My father is the same, dadbod started popping in his 40s.
@@camskayzz5169 my sister has had the same problem for as long as I can remember, she went to a dietitian and she was given a list of foods and told to eat at regular and short intervals. You can try googling these kinds of foods available in your area and make a schedule that allows you to eat something healthy every hour or so. It's less about eating a lot and more about eating decently regularly. Good luck!
i appreciate the insert at 7:57 because there are VERY RARE instances where someone is born with a genetic disease or something that makes it near impossible for them to lose weight, but none of these people are actually that in all honesty lol
My moms friend has a disorder that makes it nearly impossible, not entirely, but exercise and eating healthy isn't enough for her to lose weight. She needs a lot of medication to STOP her from gaining weight and stay at the weight she already has :)
i will say i have PCOS which comes with insulin resistance. it makes it soo hard to lose weight BUT with the right medication and a healthy lifestyle ( eating 3 good meals a day and being active ) it’s been manageable. I just cannot even take one cheat day or it will cause me to gain weight, basically like anything i eat automatically goes to fat. it sucked because for years i had tried EVERYTHING to lose weight, got bullied for my weight and told to change or try harder, but i didn’t know why I couldn’t. Finally, i got the diagnosis and dropped 50 lbs.
indeed, my sibling has this type of thing. If they ate a normal diet they'd still gain weight instead of losing it. That is because their body gets basically twice the calories no matter what they eat
@@funiguy2219 As someone outside US, yes. it does not exist here. What does exist is _actual_ fatphobia, as in people bullying and ostracizing you for being slightly chubby to obese, especially if you are a girl. In Singapore, they actually have a mandatory regiment for kids where if your child is considered overweight continuously, they will tell the parents that they must feed their kids lesa, and if that doesn't change things, your kid is sent to "fat camp" to lose weight themselves. i personally think the regiment is fine for instilling good exercise and eating habits in kids young, tho I imagine it may be unfair for kids who are only just overweight but still healthy. (and BMI isn't always indicative of health) On the other extreme, many girls here starve themselves for beauty, but are horrendously unhealthy because of it, also struggling to walk several flights of steps without being very out of breath. Pick your poison, I guess.
I was once called fatphobic and insulted by my neighbor because I was anorexic. We're now 4 years later and she still thinks she's right and "beautiful".
the fact that they've convinced themselves that "fatphobia" is a real thing and a problem like they're an actual oppressed minority is EMBARRASSING for them bro i cant💀
Well aside from an actual phobia called cacomorphobia, or the extreme fear of fat people, overweight people are bullied all the time for their looks. Fat acceptance obviously isn't ok but it is important to treat everyone fairly no matter their appearance.
That's the magic of channels like Radal. They take the time they need to make videos, unlike some channels where they upload almost daily which drains their creativity quicker. "You can't rush art"
I am an overweight teenager and let me tell ya it's not fun I'm pre diabetic, lost my period and lost large chunks of my hair I struggle with my mental health and had an ED which caused me to be where I am and this whole fat acceptance is just vile because it's not cool dying at 35 I'm trying my best to get back into shape because it's not about being fat or skinny it's about being healthy Update- Thank you all for the kind words , they mean soo much to me and I've been eating healthier and trying to exercise whenever I can, right now things have been hard because of exams and just not a very good mental state but I'm still trying :)
There is a big difference between being fat or plump because you eat too much and you dont want to change something in your life to be healthier, look more attractive by doing sports; AND getting chronic illness or genetic weight. Owerweight people like these made their own choice by eating so much but you didnt. Im really sorry about your health, i wish you'll feel better when the time will pass
Funnily enough, I can't relate to his words because almost all my female relatives is fat/obese and most of them are more than 30 with the youngest being 40.
7:47 Omg it infuriates me when people like her try to use people like me as *her* excuse. No, disabled people _can_ lose weight. It is just a much slower process because exercise is either light PT or nothing at all.
Not to mention, an actual disability like missing a leg isn't the same as being an amorphous blob of corpulent tissue. You can't "diet off" an amputation.
As someone who reached a whopping 165 kg at 17 years old due to sheer lazyness before actually doing something about it, it's pretty sad to see these people not only acting like this but also trying to indocrinate others into being like them.
Don't get demotivated by these fools, kings, keep grinding and keep losing weight. It will only make you healthier, if you choose not to lose weight while you can, you are straight up lazy. I am currently not happy with my weight and I got a lot of comments on my body and my belly. Instead of crying and blaming other people with fat-phobia, I chose to listen to them and started working out. It's only been a month and I started seeing differences already, and I will keep grinding until I lose that fat whether I become fat-phobic or not
my mom has been dancing on the line of being obese and just flat out fat ever since i was a kid. At one point when i was in 6th grade she tried forcing me to doing one of her harmful diets with her. i knew i was rather healthy at my age so i didn’t do it. i know the difference between healthy and otherwise. i’m not skinny/have what would be considered a desirable weight, i’m a bit overweight for my age if anything, but i know that i’m normal. i can’t stand this movement because it’s not even a movement, it’s normalizing illness. it’s not normal to struggle when doing simple tasks. it’s not normal to eat grand amount of calories without having a balance. obesity can cause a bunch of other illnesses which lead to death. i’d understand if you truly couldn’t have helped getting larger, such as gaining weight extremely easily or little time to put the effort needed into balancing your caloric intake and such, but that’s why you monitor what you eat. if you’re lactose intolerant do you look to see how much dairy is in the food you’re gonna eat?? most likely. yeah, you’re probably not gonna die or anything, but will it be uncomfortable? yeah! they’re extremely similar. making an effort to be healthy/comfortable with your weight isn’t “fatphobic”, it’s having self restraint and understanding your needs.
I got called fatphobic because I'm underweight And because I had anorexia (online) And because I said that I'm helping my obese mom to loose weight (she's making so much progress my poor mom
I'm only a 82 pound adult. The reason why I'm underweight is because my parents where extremely poor, couldn't feed me throughout childhood. I'm so used to not having food to where these days I have to force myself to eat. Yet I'm called fatphobic due to my childhood trauma.
Here's my story, i was around 90-100kg for a good part of my teenage years. While i wasn't bullied all that much, i did have mental problems. Very low confidence for one. And a sort of breaking point for me was when a good friend insulted me so that he can feel better about himself. That's just bad friends though but still, it tanked my confidence even further. From December 2021 i've been going to the gym and going on diets. Right now, i am 183cm tall and i weight 79kg. This is a massive accomplishment but some problems still remain. I am in fear that one slip-up is all it takes to fall back down the rabbit hole. I just can't, for the life of me give myself any credit. Now, as to not leave this on a sour note, i now feel much better about myself. I began exercising again yesterday so i'm hoping to build some muscle as well. And these fat acceptance cults disgust me because they would insult me for improvement and would rather see me tumble through all that pain again. They would rather see all of us suffer again rather than being happy. So brothers, keep on working at it. Keep on living healthy lives if only for the fact that you are making these people mad!
Thank you for speaking about body shamming too. Fat acceptance is really wrong but so is body shamming But the comment section of this video disgust me cause they all are acting like your friend who was promoting bodyshamming
I feel you man. I'm around 175cms high and was around 115 kgs. I managed to get around 90 kgs right before Covid hit, but after that with all of the "stay at home and do nothing" I managed to get almost all the weight back. Now I'm slowly starting to lose it again. I still remember how good I felt from losing the "excessive" weight.
So I have been both very thin and pretty fat. For most of my my life I was about 120lbs. I was fit, thin, healthy, and mostly got complements. Though some people even said I was too skinny and I had no curves. I was kind of boyish looking tbh. In college, I became very depressed, developed a binge eating disorder, and now weigh 170lbs. For many of those years during college I listened to fat positivity and fat acceptance because I wanted to be able to feel ok with myself in a fatter body. This is what I’ve learned from it. No. I don’t think fat people should be shamed for how they look. I do think it is good that kindness is encouraged. Because even though it may be obvious that someone is fat because they eat too much, you may not know the reason behind why they eat too much. Often times, it is caused by some pretty severe emotional issues that can be very difficult and painful to deal with. Binge eating is a disorder, and like any other disorder dealing with it is hard and it hurts, and honestly, I believed it should be treated with similar reverence that we treat other EDs like anorexia with. We shouldn’t be making fun of these people and shaming them for being fat. We should instead recognize they have a problem and try to help them as kindly as we can. I justified my own weight for a long time. But now I’ve recognized I have this disorder and that is is negatively impacting my life. And no, not just because people make fun of how I look. My blood pressure and overall health is fine (I just had it checked 2 days ago actually), but I do sometimes get out of breath when I feel I shouldn’t, and doing certain physical tasks is hard. I also just feel unhealthy and wish I was more fit and ate well like I used to. I’ve been making a big effort to heal and lose weight and so far I’ve lost 7lbs over the past 2 months. I beg of you. Do not be cruel to people who are struggling. It makes things so much worse. So many of you have no idea how hard the terrible body image issues that come with an ED can be. I’m 23 and I have only been on 3 dates ever because I was self conscious that the second I took my clothes off my partner would find me ugly. I’ve literally had fantasies about just cutting off all my fat. I’ve tried starving myself. I’ve sobbed in front of the mirror. Please know how much it hurts. But at the same time. While I support kindness towards fat people, I don’t encourage obesity. I do think it’s unhealthy and I think it’s really toxic to keep so many people trapped in a binge eating spiral just because you think the beauty standards are unfair. Yes. They are unfair. Yes, not all bodies should look the same. I truly do believe that. But obesity and binge eating disorder ARE unhealthy and while we can accept it and be kind about it, no one should ENCOURAGE it. I do think that body positivity and acceptance have some very good intentions, but too much can be harmful. You just have to have a healthy balance. Be kind, but realize when you have a problem.
I mean I gotta be brutally honest, if nobody insulted me for being overweight, I would’ve stayed the same. I’m glad I lost it 3 years ago. Still going strong
I just have 2 things to say about obesity: 1. It is not obesity that runs in your family, because no one runs in your family. 2. I am not fatphobic, your body is. Just count how many times you were out of air for going to the local store or you felt like your legs were about to break for simply standing up.
Eh it's not obesity itself it's that some people have slow or very strange metabolisms or even just hold on to fat more than they can burn it those are usually genetic defects in their family or maybe at some point in my life their family had to hold on to fat to live in colder regions but it's not helping them in warmer regions
Tbh as a fat person too, I would prefer if people didn't bully us or always nag is about losing weight, but at the same time I really wish these people who are trying to act like it's good to be fat would shut up 💀 like we don't have to hate ourselves, but we don't have to settle for being unhealthy for our own comfort either. Body neutrality, not body positivity
Eat less, unless you have a rare condition then it's your own choice to be fat, bullying or nagging you is a way for society to generate pressure in order to get you to change that fact about yourself.
@@Xxiz268 you can motivate people without insulting them it's two totally different things. Being an asshole can just make things worse bro it's not that simple. When you get put down your entire life for something it gets pretty depressing.
I’ve been thin throughout my life so I can’t relate to this necessarily, but I just wanted to share that I’ve had multiple obese/overweight people approach me and tell me that I need to gain weight or tell that I have an eating disorder (which I definitely don’t have). I find it super hypocritical that the fat acceptance movement only worships those that are overweight, not working on themselves, spreading toxicity and criticizing people who are at a healthy weight. It’s truly delusional and I really do hope that some of these women (and men, but it seems to be a women thing) get some help or get a reality check when it comes to their declining health..
I can really relate to this comment. I have been skinny my entire life and people say I should gain weight. Oddly enough I have eaten some considerably unhealthy foods and not gained weight. But the eating disorder and comments that other people make about me are really fucking annoying and don’t make me feel any better about myself. I don’t try to eat unhealthily all the time I just try to limit the amount of processed sugar I consume. It pisses me off that there are people spreading misinformation saying that loosing weight after being overweight makes you more vulnerable to health issues (not trying to deny that people who have anorexia and bulimia are not more prone to health issues as well though).

as a person who is very overweight, these people are the reason we get bullied a lot. I don’t think being fat is good, as being fat causes a lot of illnesses. my apologies for these disgraceful people
There is a difference between being fat or chubby and being obese. Being fat or chubby is okay. You can still be bigger and live a healthy lifestyle. But being obese should not be seen as normal or healthy because its not. And being fat or chubby it is okay to lose weight to be more fit. That's not fatphobic. Being obese and losing weight also isn't fatphobic, it's trying not to fucking die quicker and have lasting health issues. I find fat and chubby people attractive myself, but obesity is not it.
IF you can lose the excess weight. My bestie is fit, has the healthiest lifestyle I know and still is fat. She was happy there was a ''space'' for her in fat acceptance forums. But fat acceptance became obesity fetishization at this point, these people go as far as telling her she isn't fat enough to be sad about and that she (who already can't find clothes she likes in her size or feels super insecure jumping into e.g. a motorboat with me) is as privileged as a skinny person. That's definitely NOT fat acceptance anymore.

People that are fat and know it's not healthy? That is like 95% of them, fat acceptance people are a minority.

Being concerned for an obese person is not ‘fatphobic’
Being obese does not make you ugly
Being a thin, but formerly obese does not make you ‘fatphobic’
But being obese, is just objectively unhealthy
A good amount of exercise and a good diet isn't hating on yourself, it's self care:( I don't know when people forgot that.

im sorry im late as hell but i hope you get to where you want to be, and just keep pushing king.
And also being fat is not that of a pro...

Holy Jesus. What is your diet lol?
the whole problem with this is that the whole “fat acceptance” movement started off with very good intentions because bigger people are usually seen as unattractive or undesirable, so the objective was to make them feel beautiful regardless of society’s standards because that is true, no one deserves to feel bad just because of the way they look. but slowly the movement turned into embracing unhealthy lifestyles and being overweight which is NOT OKAY!! we are not saying you are ugly, we are asking you to be healthy! don’t promote habits that could get people killed please!!!!!!

@@chibi_okami "Stop saying fat people cannot be healthy, you're directly saying that fat people should be unhealthy by being skinny, and you're being racist towards our people"

at some point since it started skinny people were being called fatphobic for being...skinny...yes, to the point where ''skinny'' (which were just normal weighing) creators were being harassed online for not being 250 pounds of fat, oil and grease.
let's also mention the fact the fat acceptance movement isn't even OK in the first place, because you shouldn't be encouraging them to be happy about being fat, you should be encouraging them to lose weight to be happy.
Well said
Man, body positivity should be about people with injuries or being born with deformation.
@@0Leonx0 right, body positivity should be about positive changes and or efforts to yourself, not lazy and disgusting habits
I know right, there is more people who die from obesity than getting killed or something like that, there is nothing wrong with body positivity but obesity is just no
Yeah. Being slightly overweight isn’t that bad, you can still be moderately healthy. But obesity will kill if you don’t do anything about it.
I swear I just found your account and I CANT STOP LAUGHING 😂 it’s so funny I love it!!!
Why is this so underrated?
Man just explained the whole situation....
Guess I'll wait till it gets the recognition it deserves.

What we should really be accepting is people's *natural* bodies.

"That's not a belly pouch, that's a belly couch".
Got me dying on the floor
Edit:
I want to thank everyone for their kind words. I've had another relapse but I'm NOT giving up!! You're all amazing human beings.

The skin is really flexible and will stretch out allot. but if you lose weight too quickly the skin can't adapt fast enough and form these remnants of skin. By taking it slower and losing body mass bit by bit the skin has time to adapt.

I lost weight simply by skipping big meals and walking. Eat less, move more. It'll hurt but the pain if you don't do it will be greater.
It's not that hard, just take out 30 minutes in a day off your schedule. And start running you will see really good progress in just a month.

I understand that a lot of people are not fat by choice but promoting being fat as a good health-style is terrible.
it is fatphobic and it's good.

Finally, i got the diagnosis and dropped 50 lbs.

Yo that lactose intolerance comparison is awesome. I'll be using that, thanks !
I got called fatphobic because I'm underweight
And because I had anorexia (online)
And because I said that I'm helping my obese mom to loose weight (she's making so much progress my poor mom
Society
Society is good, unless otherwise.
-The Joker, circa. 314259
I'm only a 82 pound adult. The reason why I'm underweight is because my parents where extremely poor, couldn't feed me throughout childhood. I'm so used to not having food to where these days I have to force myself to eat. Yet I'm called fatphobic due to my childhood trauma.
@@wakeup9225 fr, hope you can get better, wish you luck
I‘m surprised someone who is anorexic can give healthy weight loss advice.
Anyway, wish you well for your and your mother’s health.
Good job dude, keep it up 🙌
Thank you for speaking about body shamming too.
Fat acceptance is really wrong but so is body shamming
But the comment section of this video disgust me cause they all are acting like your friend who was promoting bodyshamming
Mad respect to you keep up, and don't forget to enjoy your life
Oh my gosh I just seeing your profile name
@@lakshyadeewan6857 I agree

I feel you man. I'm around 175cms high and was around 115 kgs. I managed to get around 90 kgs right before Covid hit, but after that with all of the "stay at home and do nothing" I managed to get almost all the weight back. Now I'm slowly starting to lose it again. I still remember how good I felt from losing the "excessive" weight.
sir👑
175 METERS!!!!???
@@DZYHH There... fixed
@@pavelhristov1999 :(( meters was cooler
I was like you 175cm 107kgs, but now im on my bulking 79 kgs :))
Keep going! You can do this man! Keep working out (if u are, and if you arent you should) and you'll be fit again.
The problem with these social media obnoxious fat people isn't that they're fat, it's that they're obnoxious.
I'm very happy that you're recovering!
I wish you the absolute best of luck on your recovery journey

@@justaguy8711 im so confused by this comment I literally can't tell if you're trying to be insulting or not...
I mean I gotta be brutally honest, if nobody insulted me for being overweight, I would’ve stayed the same.
I’m glad I lost it 3 years ago. Still going strong
Same it was a motivation for a lot of people
stay strong! Gotta keep grinding
good job bro, stay strong
Congrats!
To help you on journey should i insult you to motivate you or praise you
"blud, i have seen food looking better in gulag", got me rolling so bad. Man ur roasts are the best. Keep up the work :)
I just have 2 things to say about obesity:
1. It is not obesity that runs in your family, because no one runs in your family.
2. I am not fatphobic, your body is. Just count how many times you were out of air for going to the local store or you felt like your legs were about to break for simply standing up.
The first one... HAHAHAHAHAHA
Eh it's not obesity itself it's that some people have slow or very strange metabolisms or even just hold on to fat more than they can burn it those are usually genetic defects in their family or maybe at some point in my life their family had to hold on to fat to live in colder regions but it's not helping them in warmer regions
R/rareinsults
@Miranda Zhang damn so im not just overreacting when i go to eat a vegetable and feel like convulsing even though it's perfectly fine??
step 1: apply ice to burnt area
"fat people on tiktok talk about society more than the joker" I'm dying bro 😂😂😂😂
Amen to that
you literally stole my words xd
Why dont u take that as motivation
I got called Skeleton..(because im skinny)
And vampire.(because i can camouflage in mozzarella)
And sexist.(because im a guy)(fighting a feminist)
And
I can really relate to this comment.
@@whatamisupposedtoputhere i eat McDonald's once a week along with pizza, piadina sometimes lasagna and im "the skinny guy who should eat more" of my class
Why can't people leave others the fuck alone?? Gurl you're fine.
This is because they feel included and identifies themselves with the characteristics of the ingroup; then, you're the outgroup, so they just discriminate you, even if they promote acceptance and positivity in a toxic way. I mean, not all groups are like that.
as a person who is very overweight, these people are the reason we get bullied a lot.

How tf can you actually find fat people attractive 💀
Fat and chubby people are by definition obese and they're also prone to health issues.
@@uwu-bebs yeah at this point it’s just wrong. They bully ppl for not being fat enough???? Like how does that work. Just because I’m not morbidly obese doesn’t mean I’m not fat.
