Great vid as usual Lucile! I really wanna go to South Korea at some point in the future, I do a lot of research on the North 😂, anyways all of this street food always looks so amazing in any South Korean travel vid I watch Those spicy noodles looked completely up my ally also never had rice cake but that spicy rice cake I’d for sure have to try
The cold noodles you had at the market are best eaten cut. If you are ever at a larger restaurant they will have scissors on the table. I recommend you try the cold noodles (naengmyun) with broth - it is non spicy and super refreshing!
The savory donut ironically is called a "croquet" donut. It never comes with sugar and meant as a cheap substitute for something comparable to a meat pie. However, the ingredients inside are heavily veggie-based, bc of its affordability.
Lucille, I love it seeing you and Bobby in the same video, and might I say wow ,the food looks so delicious. I'm so jealous I only wish I could go to places .have a great time.see ya in the next video. Be safe .
@@LucileHR thank you so much for your response, you and Bobby are the best you- tubers in the world please do more of these kind of video's.i feel like your taking me on such a journey.
I really like these videos. They feel like they're done by a (pair on this one) fun tour guide. I would like to try the doughnuts most of all. Even the veggie one looks like it could be good.
Loving the vids. Would enjoy seeing a video with no voice over. Just old style vlog. Could still do all the comparisons. But all in the moment no voice over at all. Maybe talk about the food on the way to the next stop. A Lovimg Bobby throw back stlye video. So.ething pre covid like. Love true vlog style and love food blogs or market vlogs. Lets see a Lucile true vlog style vdeo. ❤
Gros bisous ❤

When I first arrived in Germany, I couldn’t speak German. I got a donut thing that looked so good, and I was incredibly disappointed when I bit into it and realized it had a CHEESE filling. Who puts cheese inside a donut? Germans I guess
In my opinion, spicy bibim naengmyeon is garbage. Traditional Korean food is not spicy at all. Pyeongyang Naengmyeon(Cold noodles in clear broth without pepper) is the real Korean traditional naengmyeon. Naengmyeon should be available at specialized restaurants such as Wooraeok, Eulmildae, and Nampo Myeonok. I know that foreigners don't eat Pyeongyang naengmyeon because it's too bland, but I beleive spicy bibim naengmyeon isn't worth eating. Most of the spicy Korean food has appeared since the Korean War. The sauce for Tteokbokki, Bibimnaengmyeon, and Bibimbap was also originally soy sauce, not red pepper.
Tteokbokki was originally a court dish stir-fried rice cakes, vegetables, and meat in soy sauce. It wasn't spicy at all. But nowdays, it has changed to junk food with chili sauce. Koreans call the traditional tteokbokki "gungjung tteokbokki". Anyway, red spicy tteokbokki is one of the most unhealthy food among Korean foods. Korean home cooking is basically a healthy food like Korean temple food, but it's unfortunate that junk food like tteokbokki is widely known abroad.
Korean street food = best way to spend a day! Thanks for bringing me along Lucile :D
