I can and I’m from sunny Watford - whole first album is an absolute masterclass of growing up in a town … apart from track 10 - good enough, but the only one I think about skipping - it’s a passing thought though - nothing more - shame they went middle class with the lyric relating - but you can only write what you live - and that’s what they are/were good - not all can relate the whole way through the albums
It's not like their newer music isn't genius, it's just that back then their musical genius was still inexperienced, purer if you will, full of youthful energy and the joy of having new experiences. Just a bunch of lads writing songs to have fun with in the kind of small bars and cafes young bands tend to play in.
