Okay so..a lot of interpretations but here is mine he is actually searching not for a particular girl but for LOVE he describes his attempts to find her and he is worrying that maybe he wont ".. I'll forget your face" when he asks "can I call you her name" he actually asks "can I call you Love" untill he finally finds her grieving in the cornerstone for the same reason as him
Cornerstone is the name of a group kind of like AA but for people in grief for their lost, sooo he's definitely talking about his dead gf cuz well he saw her sister in the cornerstone. It's more deep than it seems but I like your interpretation too
