- A powerful storm left us with several broken limbs hanging high in our trees. This video shows a way to get a strap up on the limb and safely pull it down.

Thanks for posting this video which was very helpful for me. My problem was not as complex as yours (lower limbs which were smaller) and the snow rake pole with the hook did the trick very easily.
So glad this helped you bring it down safely.
Great affection for your practical, clear approach. Thank you.
Good style my man. Adepts of cycle mechanics have many original uses for toe-straps, so I was tickled by the centrality of the tow-strap in your video 😀🤙
Genius moves, stud.
Thanks internet and thank you sir. Thats what i was looking for exactly. 🙏
Brilliant!

Thanks for watching and subscribing!
also, look up video for rope saw. you can manually saw the branch using 2 long ropes
I remember a couple projects very similar to this last summer. Looks like you took a couple pointers.
Yeah I got some tips from a guy who knew what he was doing. lol Forrest!
Better to hire a tree trimming service. The limbs of some oaks contain wood strains that are extremely tough to pull even if the limb has been damaged. I know. I tried the same method and I could have pulled six ways to Sunday and it would not break free....
You're right and I did have a tree service remove several hangers I could not pull down. This was my one success lol.
looks like a job for some tanerite
oh wait, evey job looks like a job for some tanerite 😆
instead of a pole, you can tie a string to a large socket from a socket wrench, and throw the socket over the branch
This limb was so high up it would take an arm like an NFL QB for reach it.
@@TheOriginalMechanic ok then a fishing pole
How About An Arrow With Fishing Line . Then Pull Up Rope With A Slip Knot ?
What a great idea! I want to see the video of the successful shot.
I'm dealing with this right now 🙄 It should only take a couple of days to dry up?
I think it will take much longer than a couple of days to dry out. But that doesn't mean you can't try to pull it down.
@@TheOriginalMechanic alright I'll use some of your ideas in the morning 👍🏻
I have one that is 50 or 60 feet high 😞
I feel for you. I don't think I would have enough extension poles or the ability to control them at that height.
@@TheOriginalMechanic Yes, definitely going to be a challenge.
