I have watched people like Frank Howarth and John Heisz for a few years and I am so glad the £13,000 turntable popped up on my feed, now I can add your videos to the list of amazing craftsmen to watch. Also appreciate the no fuss, no music just workshop sounds and love the subtitles.
I'm 54 and have been designing and building hand crafted furniture from the age of 16. It's a pleasure to watch you cut those mitered hidden dovetails. You don't get craftsmanship of that caliber very often. A beautiful piece that I'm sure your client will love it. Well done.
Those were beautiful and actually made my head hurt trying to work out how you would do that The piece looked fantastic and I can imagine that the customer was indeed over the moon with it Now to watch more ...
After reading the comments we can all agree, the workmanship is of the highest calibre. Made even more elegant by the lack of obtrusive music! The silence only broken by the sound of the wood being worked. Beatuful cabinet and video! New subscriber here!
I think out of all of the woodshop channels I subscribe to, you might be my favorite. There are plenty of amazing woodworkers out there with shops that make you drool but looking at your setup, you can tell that it is about the love of the work and not about having a sparkly clean space with the highest end of everything draping your walls. It's more...approachable.
You clearly don't know anything about tools or been in a real production shop that earns money because his vintage woodworking tools are better than anything you can get now, plus he has a lot of Festool, which are the best. This is what a real shop looks like where a guy earns his living from working, not just Youtubing.
My own wood working is conducted in what I call my "thankfully sheltered workshop," and its quality is not even a measurable fraction of what you demonstrate. It's a pleasure to see such loving attention to detail, design, and execution. I am glad you are a young person who promises many years of fascinating viewing.
Love watching your work. My dad who would've been 95y but sadly died at 41y would've LOVED your channel. He was a master carpenter as his hobby. I really enjoy your quirky comments 😂 e.g "walk of shame" 🙈 From Jeffreys Bay South Africa🏄♀️
One the many reasons that make me watch your videos, other than the lack of useless words or ambient music, is your subtitles. They are utterly brillant and often very funny. Thanks for them, and carry on sir !
It's ridiculous just how beautiful your art is. Add in the functionality and it's just borderline absurd. Your intelligence and abundance of talent absolutely shines through your work.
Sir, not familiar with those cards but realize that this display case has much finer craftsmanship then most peoples finest furniture. The dovetails blew my mind. You are a very rare treasure, please keeps the videos coming, (love your humor too!) Awesome work.
Been around for years originally used to allow paint to drip and not build up in screw slots. (Before the days of the Phillips and the hammered in screws on sites.)
The first time I saw that was on se fine furniture competition. One of the judges commented on someone's screw not being in line.. I was shocked they pay that much attention to detail.
COOL JOB,THIS AND THE DECK!--SOME DECK,EH? I MUST SAY,YOU CARRY A REMARKABLE LIKENESS TO ONE OF MY COUSINS DOWN SOUTH-ONLY YOU DONT LOOK OLD ENOUGH TO BE HE,NAME OF STEVE SAYERS,HE'D BE ABOUT 67 NOW. WELL DONE FELLA!
GREAT!! I used to have dozens of those cards as a kid. 😃 When you built that bench, you knew you needed the drawer at that height just for this project. 😎
It is absolutely spellbinding watching you produce your magic. Every step you take is compelling viewing, perfection and a joy to behold. Nothing distracts from watching each precise and exact step you take, perfectly in tune with the sound of all of the tools you work with. Don from South Aust.
Absolutely incredible craftmanship. Beautiful work and very ingenious design. Your design was forward thinking in terms of cleaning the glass periodically, genius.
A genius of a craftsman at work, I like your humorous comments, and you admit little mistakes, a great channel and a real pleasure to watch you anytime 🇬🇧🤘☀️👏
I was delighted to see another video from you and it certainly didn’t disappoint. I enjoy your witty commentary and watching the skilled working that goes along with it. Jig for positions of mounting hardware is class and I can imagine how quick and neat installation was. Please keep making nice things 👍
So I see the title and say, "I'd love to make a card display case". Yeah, I don't have the skill for this, you are truly very talented. As many have already praised, your patience, attention to detail and just overall knowledge of the craft is amazing.
Great work, especially on those hidden dovetails. If you want do another frame like that on the vacuum table just run a bit of rope or cord from the inside of the frame to the vacuum holes on the outside and it will vacuum down as one. The rope gives the air somewhere to escape. Good use of the ladies too!
I have just found your channel. Wow what a find. Being a Yorkshireman myself and living abroad, I love the humour and your style of presentation of the videos. I find your skills extraordinary and learn something every video. Its wonderful not to be watching an American woodworker who never demonstrates joint cutting as you do! Thanks for sharing this wealth of videos.
Nerve racking moment when you dry fitted that first one. All the grooves line up; great success! That's the point where I would be planing the edges flush on a plain square frame. Hats off to you sir.
What a relief, just professionalism, quiet and relaxing. This video gave me a new idea for my planned tool cabinet. Hope for more like this. Thank you.
Really classy workmanship. There are only a few others that I can count as top notch craftsmen and you are definitely right at the top. Those mitred dovetails were beautiful. Superb mate
All that beautiful interior miter joinery work for the most part goes unseen after the glue up. Kudo`s to Russ , I guess he likes to challenge himself. That was incredible craftsmanship just on the four corners. Another mind blowing project that the custom was over the moon. I say out of this world.
You demonstrate so many skills in making this cabinate. Not just the obvious, but also tools and finishing with matching drill jig. Fabulous stuff. I really wish I could visit your workshop and learn a thing or two from you.
Love the corner joinery. That is a piece of art in its self. A pleasure to watch, sir. I could have done with a few of these cabinets myself over the years. Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon and Doctor Who Battles In Time cards look better on display that hidden in away in boxes in the drawer. Two thumbs up from me.
I love your zero clearance supports. I've seen a lot of videos of folks spending a lot of time an effort to make zero clearance throat plates (for instance), which work great, but this seems so simple and easy.
Love your craftmanship! I spend far video's but that's OK, I worked until I was seventy-six. Laid up for a couple more months. A new hip will allow me to work on some personal wood working projects. Thanks for the great attention to detail!
Another display of superb craftsmanship to bring delight to all of your viewers including me. Your attention to detail is amazing both in construction techniques & the finish is superb. Don from South Aust.
Enjoyed watching you make this display cabinet. Seeing you use your wood chisels, made me think would it be possible for you to show Us how you sharpen them “ just a thought “ . Love watching your excellent craftsmanship 👍
Excellent work, some really great techniques on display. Those hidden dove-tails are outstanding. And making a drilling template for the wall brackets? So clever.
Good idea to apply varnish in the Ladies for they usually like make ups ;-) More seriously you once again did a very good job. It's always a pleasure to watch your videos.
Your an awesome craftsman.I feel confident saying your the best ive seen by far .Thanks for your videos they are an apex of skill i can only admire never duplicate.Be safe .Peace.From South Philly , Pa. USA.
I especially liked the use of the flat headed screws and aligning the slots parallel to the edge of the hinge. That’s real attention to detail.
I have watched people like Frank Howarth and John Heisz for a few years and I am so glad the £13,000 turntable popped up on my feed, now I can add your videos to the list of amazing craftsmen to watch. Also appreciate the no fuss, no music just workshop sounds and love the subtitles.
That's the same video that got me into this channel ^_^
It was the door repair that got me here very nice work thanks for sharing
uhhh.... Russ is miles ahead of those two and doing some of the most impressive work on all of TH-cam.

Bravo. The fact that there are features carefully and flawlessly incorporated which the customer will never see is the mark of a true craftsman.

Trades men like you are very scarce, top quality

I could watch your videos all day , your so patient and sure , I’m new and each one is so fascinating to watch at master at work .
Absolute insanity. I can’t even count how many different ways I would have mucked all that up if I had tried.
Beautiful job.
"Customer was over the Moon" - I bet! Outstanding, incredible, sublime. There are no superlatives that can express my admiration for your work.
the professionalism goes so far when client gets the screwing guide for the wall
My cat just agreed: Purrfect work. Especially the hidden dovetails are absolutement extraordinaire. Beaucoup de chapeaux, encore!
pretty ingenious with the glass! also the captions are hilarious. love the dry sarcasm.
you mean "wry"
One the many reasons that make me watch your videos, other than the lack of useless words or ambient music, is your subtitles. They are utterly brillant and often very funny. Thanks for them, and carry on sir !
He was "caught spraying in the Ladies". 😂
So glad there are still people out there that take pride in their work. Thank you.

Amazing craftsmanship. Your eye for detail and perfection is inspiring!
So very meticulous and a JOY to watch the process...your concentration is admirable...thank you...dgp/uk
An absolute pleasure to watch a craftsman doing his work 👍👍
Amazing skill but the icing on the cake for me was when you lined up the slots in the screws in the hinges!
Totally agree!
I get called a perfectionist for doing this but to me it's simply pride in doing it right, and it's pleasing to the eye.
Been around for years originally used to allow paint to drip and not build up in screw slots. (Before the days of the Phillips and the hammered in screws on sites.)
Simple stuff that. Those dovetails mitres were a thing of beauty though

For sure this individual is the real deal, impeccable craftsmanship

No substitute for craftmanship, Thank God (whichever one) for people like you.
32:00 all the hinge screw heads parallel - wonderful attention to detail throughout, but that was special
Great job, a good experience to see a great professional at work, I liked the detail of aligning the screws.

Thank you for showing these different techniques. I have learned a lot. Wonderful workmanship. Thanks again.
Brilliant. This should be compulsory viewing for anybody who wants to post a video. On any subject, not just cabinet making.
Though may I add that a small headlight on the canera rig might meke the pictures even better?

So much detail and every little thing taken care of its a beauty
Absolutely spectacular job❤ Love that it's a one of its kind!!! True brilliance.
Pree-shizzen on the hinge chases there. Seriously, I se the patience here and am reminded to take it slowly on my own projects.
your precision and accuracy are unbelievable.
That corner joint is ... amazing. I've never seen that before. Now I have to try it. Which is as likely to fail as you might expect!
Well done!
Outstanding as per your fine quality craftsmship. Well done. And i bet the customer was over the moon, this art gallery.

Very precise workmanship. Kudos
I remember those cards from when I was a kid. There was also a set of equally gory American Civil War cards. Great job of the display case!
It is a pleasure to watch you at work, keep it up great videos.

Beautiful, you don’t see people heading their screws often and it makes a huge difference for no effort.
Great work, especially the meticulous finishing stages - very professional, high quality!
I must have said "craftsmanship" twenty times while watching this. Very nicely done. Congratulations.
The cabinet and the work that went into crafting it....exceptional....the content....well, chacun à son goût. Best wishes old mole and stay healthy.

A beautiful job, such precision, a master craftsman 😁👌👌👏👏👏❤️
As a newbie to woodwork I must say that your attention to detail is excellent. After building a few guitars I no how critical planning is.
Good idea to apply varnish in the Ladies for they usually like make ups ;-) More seriously you once again did a very good job. It's always a pleasure to watch your videos.
Amazing attention to detail - shear perfection!
You sir, are an artist!
Beautifully crafted, and a work of art.
