i never liked Carl Lewis. He didn't have the relaxed or generous personality of Mike Powell or Usain Bolt, and: he also was tested positive (for 3 forbidden substances in 1988)... He also had braces like severals US american sprinters at that time. Doping, big time. His excuse was, later, that those substances "didn't help his performance" -

the Jamaican "food" around 2008 was good enough for Bolt to improve from 9.9 to 9.6 in less than a year, "coincidentally" multiple other Jamaican athletes from the same small area all suddenly gained massive improvement too in less than a year, SAFP from 11.35 to 10.70, Carter, Powell, Blake, Ashmeade, many more
More gains than FloJo, Tim Montgomery, Ben Johnson ever had in the same timeframe, more than any known steroid users including the GDR
      Join the dots man

@@cattycats4 FloJo's big improvement is actually on the same level. She improved about 0.5 seconds within a year. She broke the 11 second mark in 1987 and then broke the WR in 1988 (not to mention the 200m WR as well).

@@cattycats4 lewis' friend kinda sorta admitted they spiked ben's drink or sample or whatever. testers confirmed it had to be likely spiked. ben admitted to drugs, but not the ones found in the sample. hmmm 🤔 usain fid 19.93 on 200/400 training at 17. 100 wadn't his focus. before 2008 you could glean evidence about his pure speed only from splits in 200 and relays. but your story about 'massive jump' would be destroyed. coral blewits is human garbage.

@@dundukas7899 the massive jump in performance was consistent to the entire jamaican athletics team, the fact that Bolt did his fastest ever times during this period makes it very unlikely that it was coincidence. Steroids wont increase raw potential Bolt is obviously a special athlete but steroids do help all other aspects, training endurance recovery gains all of which make a big impact on sprints when fine margins mean everything, the kind of performance gains that could make an entire team from being competitors to dominating podiums and records and special athletes like Bolt to set times that almost took the piss out of the races history, slowing down and showboating while running 9.6 for example, the kind of behaviour someone would do if they didnt want to break the record too much otherwise itd be suspicious, he knew what times he was doing in training. However the nail in the coffin regarding Bolt is his decline in performance when drug testing was stepped up after 2012 and 2016 suddenly he was running amongst athletes he used to beat for fun and he was getting outrun by them, if Bolt was clean he wouldve been able to run 9.70 well into his later years but he was struggling to break 10 seconds for most races and idk if he was injured during his last relay or just saving face. he retired well before other great runners like Gatlin and we all know he was a lot faster than Gatlin but apparently not , after drug testing was catching the Russians he retired very quickly. Jamaicans from 2006 to 2016 were the worlds elite juicers they cycled better than lance armstrong, gains can be kept for months after drugs leave your system, if theres no drug testing in your country its a free pass to cycle in the off season and be "clean" during Olympics, take the weightlifter Talakadze for example he was banned for failed drugs test, after the ban he came back with an even better personal best... now is the outright world record holder, its laughable. if steroids were legal there should be dramatic changes to world records but there would be in fact none at all. I like your comment, Im just adding to the information
