I Visited A Village ABOVE A Glacier 🇵🇰

Let's travel to Hopar/Hopper Valley, a stunning and bucolic hamlet of Upper Nagar, which sits about 1 hour away from Central Hunza along some seriously scenic mountain roads.
Come along for the ride to a new side of the Karakoram Mountain range, where you'll get to see plenty of clips of the roads to really feel like you're right there with us in the mountains of North Pakistan as we journey to one of the most accessible glaciers in the world.
What makes this valley and village SO unique is that unlike many other regions that are at severe risk of glacial flooding, the Hoper/Hopper Glacier is actually BELOW the village - a rarity even within Gilgit Baltistan.
The weather was absolutely perfect this day and it was a joy to motorbike through the poplar trees to a village where spring blossoms are still in full bloom thanks to a higher altitude than what we have at home.
We'll check out some local stores and make a purchase, eat the most DELICIOUS chapshoro (a local Hunza-Nagar dish) I've ever had outside of our family home, and enjoy the EPIC views of Hoper/Hopper/Hopar Glacier!
This glacier is even easier to reach than Passu, and might just be one of the coolest glaciers in the world!

I have been traveling in Pakistan since April 2021, and now LIVE HERE! 🏡 I'm a travel blogger and writer and now will share my adventures via video too.
Subscribe for weekly Pakistan travel vlogs, Pakistan movies, and Pakistan food vlogs where I'll discuss Pakistani cuisine and culture. I'll also share my reactions of Pakistan, whether Pakistan is safe, what it's like being a female traveler in Pakistan, an American in Pakistan, a Foreigner in Pakistan and share Pakistani food and Pakistan market tours.
I've been truly blessed with extreme amounts of Pakistani hospitality and the reason I love this country is because of Pakistani people themselves. Expect vlogs from all over the country including Sindh, Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Chitral, Hunza Valley, Gilgit Baltistan, and more! I'll also get into living in Pakistan, things to do in Pakistan, and the best places to visit in Pakistan!

Samantha, it's really amazing to see the amount of detail you are able to cover in a few minutes! Usually travel vloggers miss a lot of important details when going for a brief vlog but you not only put details (and those details are written in very professional writing!) in the description of your vlogs but those same descriptive details are reflected in your comprehensive content too. Hard to say if anything gets missed. Plus, you manage to teach certain facets of humanity too to your viewers in those few minutes through your benevolent behavior! I have already watched this vlog twice so far and I'll be watching it again, Insha'Allah! Every time I watch your vlog again, I notice a new awesome aspect of your content! The wondrous Hopar Glacier looked distinct from the drone shots cinematography! And I really like it when you show Hunza's local made accessories. Maybe you can make a vlog titled like 'Hidden local made accessories of Hunza' etc, that highlights the local made products of Hunza which no travel vlogger has shown before.
I recently ordered some pure apricot oil too from Hunza! Although it wasn't that much transparent & clear crystal looking like the one you bought. I wonder what the difference is. Maybe the one you bought is a bit refined. Do you use it for cooking or hair/skin massage?
I'm gonna try making that Chamus now, I eat dry apricots regularly.
If you're eating Chapshoros, they are also available in whole wheat in Hunza. I saw in several vlogs a place called 'Hunza Food Pavilion' which is run by an inspiring woman named Lal Shehzadi. I think it's in Karimabad. But look on the internet or ask Fareed for the exact address. It's very famous. She makes Chapshoros of whole wheat and with apricot oil, so they are much healthier. Her restaurant is famous for Hunza organic food. You MUST visit it and since you live in Hunza, it's even more important for you now to not miss this place. Several travel vloggers have shown her restaurant in their vlogs.
Also, thank you for being back on the community section of your TH-cam channel. I saw your Eid post there. It really means a lot that you keep suggestions in mind.
Have you thought of collaboration travel vlogs with other travel vloggers who visit Pakistan in general or the Hunza area in particular? Like the one you did with Wandering Emma. I have some suggestions for you but I wanted to know your thoughts on this first.
And kindly do tell Fareed that I am his first subscriber on TH-cam!
    Stay blessed!
