And I love how Christian exercises his authority to everyone around him but he feels intimidated by his mum. The scene when his mum arrive at his place unannounced and he says "fuck, it's my mum" is so cool! He acts like a little boy that was caught doing something naughty. I love it!

It's always interesting to see how characters are portrayed in movies and how they interact with each other. Marcia Gay Harden did a great job as Christian's mother, and it's always fascinating to see a powerful character like Christian Grey act vulnerable around his own mother. It adds a depth and complexity to his character that makes him more relatable and human. The nuances in their relationship definitely make the movie more interesting and enjoyable to watch.

There's a genre for every movie and to make something like this as a film, you would surely HAVE TO outstep those boundaries, the entertainment industry is hard and no one has or will probably ever see a movie as intense as this. If it were never made, it would be something our society would have surely been afraid to approach. It shows that every love story is different and if every movie were the same and not to be brave enough to explore a different concept then what is the point of romance films? 50 shades of grey has really opened our eyes to real passion.

There was no give and take to their relationship from what I believe, and this is not something to set your standards for a relationship to. I really liked 50 shades of grey, I feel like people miss the story when they are too busy looking at all the sexualness of the movie. I mean it was fate, Anastasia set Christian free from his bad impulses and helped him find love within himself and others rather than dominance, every love story is different.
That's a great perspective! It's true that sometimes the sexual content of the movie can overshadow the deeper themes of the story. Ana and Christian's relationship is complex and has many layers beyond just the physical attraction they have towards each other. It's refreshing to see a love story that goes beyond the typical cliches and delves into the human psyche and emotional growth.

It's more the author. She took someone else's story idea and wrote a fan fic. It was popular because she updated it everyday (not something most people have the time to do) and from my understanding had connections so she changed the names in it and published it. Had she done it on her own merit people probably wouldn't hate so much. Her writing is terrible and the book is full if mistakes.

Keep the entire plot the same, except have Christian be an overweight truck driver. Then Anna would be on the phone with the cops in two seconds and every woman who's a fan of this would say "Ewwww that guys a creeper!" But Grey has money and is handsome so he can be as emotionally and physically abusive as his wants, and women will swoon.

Yes, that scene was definitely cute and showed Grey's protective nature towards Ana. And the drunk call was quite funny too, adding a bit of humor to the story. It's these little moments that make the characters more relatable and add depth to the story.

Grey looks like a total psychopath. Possessive, controlling. And the girl looks like a typical victim: insecure, desperate for attention, blind/ not caring about the harm hell cause her. I have not read the books. If Grey isn't psychopath in the book they sure made him seem that way.
