- So many of you have requested that I cover this show, and what better time to cover a new show, then right at the beginning of a new year! Help! I'm In A Secret Relationship is a fairly new show, with their first episode only premiering in summer of 2022. The basic premise of the show, is that someone in a relationship and/or friendship, feels as if they are being hidden. So, they reach out to Rahne Jones and Travis Mills to get help, and get to the truth of why they are being hidden. These hosts have amazing chemistry, and they are also very compassionate, so they truly make the show amazing. Overall, Help! I'm In A Secret Relationship is extremely messy, so I love it, and I know you will too. The episode we are talking about in this video is Max and Matt, Season 2 Episode 11 or 12 depending on your streaming platform. This was the first episode I had fully seen of this show, and knew immediately after watching, I had to discuss it with my besties! I've got very strong opinions, and as per usual, I know you will, so make sure to drop them down in the comments! Sometimes it's hard for us to believe it because it's like it's. This is too crazy to be real but humans go through some wild stuff everyday. Like if this is what you're seeing on TV. Imagine the stuff that people go through that we will never know about because it's not posted on social media. It's not on that TV show and etc. Like some of the stuff we see on TV People are going through that stuff everyday. There's a reason why some people think you know certain kind of people are cheaters and all this other stuff. It's not just you know some social BS spreading people are going through these things 😅

Just another perspective on apologizing... My mom wouldn't let me say "I'm sorry" as a kid bc I had serious depression/self esteem issues since about 3rd grade. She felt like me saying I was "sorry" was reinforcing an idea that I was bad/lame (by that definition of 'sorry'), so I was always raised to say "I apologize for x, y, z" rather than using wording that sort of demeaned me 🤷♀️

I kinda feel for Max in a way, because I feel like I usually put more into friendships and relationships than other people. People also often mistake my feelings for romantic ones, or even obsessive ones, but it's just because I'm on the spectrum and sometimes feelings are hard for me to articulate. But it's hard not to feel rejected over even the smallest slight, so take it from me that if any of y'all feel that way, you'll feel so much better if you get therapy. Having someone to help you break down those feelings in a neutral setting is great for both you and your friendships.

Of ALL the episodes to start this show with LMAO!! I remember my first impression being that 'wait, why does his girlfriend look SO young? do we need to call Chris Hansen??' but mainly this is WILD. Like imagine having a friend for your entire life and this happening and now you don't even speak anymore. It was as surprising as it was heartbreaking. All the best to Max and Rahne with these questions at the end was the TRUE MVP. When she asked how they met? I SCREAMED!!

I wanna comment on being friends with your ex as someone who’s friends with their ex.
For me personally me and my (now ex) boyfriend both knew each other, so when he told me he loved me I was glad to be in a relationship. It only lasted for almost a year because we mutually agreed that we both felt insecure while in a relationship and we’re happy to just be friends. I feel like if both people mutually agreed that they don’t work out together and are happy as just being platonic soulmates or friends then it doesn’t matter in the end. As long as the two of you are happy then I see no problem with it. Not all relationships will end badly, it just means that in the end you were meant for someone else
If someone can't be friendly with _any_ of their exes, they may have garbage taste in partners. 🌠
Or they get with jealous, insecure people who push that mentality onto them.

Also the thing with the idea of the guy wanting to be in a relationship with a doll due to the need of being controlling is, it's a way a lot of people are taught about love and relationships, especially men. Omg I love Travis Mills, he is a part of the band "Girlfriends" and I saw them live once and even went to a meet and greet after. He is genuinely super sweet and he makes you feel like he genuinely wants to know your story. It was really funny because during the meet and greet they had to keep telling him that he needed to wrap it up because he would spend 30mins with each person
