Actually, Shizuoka is known for its early blossoming varieties of cherry.
Although I must say that it was probably the warmest February I have ever experienced in Japan.
It's actually late this year.

What a unique and special sensory dining experience by the river! My favorite dishes were dessert with that tangerine perfectly placed in the ring of Panna cotta and the thin slices of wagyu- so beautiful they almost looked like fabric!🤍

Odaware is great. I originallly picked it as a filler between cities and we ended up enjoying it the most. There is a interesting older shopping district ? The long road with shops and a covered rooof, shoutenga ? Yeah that one was interesting.
That _sukiyaki_ with the yam mixed with the usual raw egg was very interesting. I could try that at home.
Also that _unagi_ hotpot seemed very unusual. I guess that would be quite expensive.
And as I go to Shizuoka regularly, I might try the egg sandwich.

Sorry, most of the time I am very open minded and enjoy all your food content but for some reason, seeing that raw egg slime stringing with every bite, made me yak. Yuck!! The rest of it was absolutely beautiful though.
