I play T-55s and I always reason out the LoS/concealment firing solutions with my opponent for each round of shooting. It isn't some kind of bum-move, it's the rules of the game and one of the drawbacks I have to play around. Same deal when half of my tanks fail cross-checks and the offensive gets strung out or when a bunch of tanks get Wrecked and I can't dash through them. You're definitely right to choose attack, so many of my NATO opponents balk out and choose maneuver/defend which is exactly what I want, I don't care if you start Dug In + GTG because you're going to have to shoot at me at some point.
Another good counter is air. My Brit Harrier drivers LOVE to see T55 spams. As they say, a very target rich environment. Also, US M109s with minelet ammo can stop a T55 platoon dead and jam an area so no one else comes through.
hiya when i fiddle around with the forces calculator whenever i add more of one unit (e.g. t55am) it just tells me "support unit already present in formation" or something along those lines. you mentioned some multiblahblah thing which is how these spam lists happen, doesnt that mean under nonadjusted vanilla team yankee rules these formations cannot happen since the force creator wont let you? im new to it so im genuinely asking
I'd expect the T-55 player to Smoke out your Lines of Sight on T1 as well if you go Defend so fighting a Meeting Engagement is going to stop him from doing that.
That would be correct about meeting engagement, another thing to consider especial for NATO forces is the time of day as most NATO forces can benefit from thermal imaging.
Choosing a stance is by far my least favorite part of ty/fow. It always feels like one more pre-battle choice that can lose you a game before a shot has been fired. Maybe do a video discussing that strategy in detailm

Its taken as T55 formation as forces wont allow you to take more if its already a formation choice, which is why you take multiple formations of T55s
Now I want to see T-55M spam… 😂

Hint for corps is the host. As for rekkie where I'm from its recce when referring to units and rekkie is; as in going for a rekkie
