Really close man! Can’t get enough of your dam videos. Eagerly awaiting the next one
I might have the next try coming next month. Depends how many unboxings I do for June.
Hey, any attempt that doesn't end up in the water Is a win in my book. That was so close to the top!!
I keep saying next time but next time keeps ending like this. I need to start saying one of these times.
woo woo attempt 3 cant wait! So close! we will beat it! you can DO it! thanks for the share! stay awesome!
💪 we will conquer the dam eventually.
Almost there!!! Let's go 4th!!! Wouldn't it be cool if you could fit a small camera onboard?!?! That would be amazing!!! Great video anyways....
That would be pretty awesome. I don’t have a camera that small though. An insta360 would be perfect.
Yeah that would be cool.. lol
Dude! I absolutely love the commitment! Watched all the other’s too! Freaking awesome 👏 so close my friend!
I felt pretty confident when I started going up that I would make it. I’m trying a new line next time.
Just put the same links on my jeep they look sharp as hell. Love this challenge. Turn it into a yearly event.
Maybe not yearly but I will have to do it more often. My next climb is happening sometime this month. And yeah these links are so nice. Injora is one of my favorite budget brands for the SCX24.
That was a awesome climb . Great Job. Compared to the first time it's a win win 🏆. Thanks for the awesome content.
It’s starting to frustrate me because I felt so confident this last time. I will conquer the dam sooner or later.
Dam that was a pretty good fall. Good catch!
Thanks. It actually left a bruise on my shoulder where it hit.
I was kinda worried you would make it up and this would be the end of my favorite scx24 challenge😝
thanks for doing this👍 I cant explain why but it brings me so much joy👊
thanks again and see ya on the next one🤞
Sorry I just stumbled on your comment now. I will have to think of different things to keep this dam series going. I'm a little worried that once I get up, I may not be able to scale back down. I guess we will see when I make it to the top. I have it all repaired now and it's ready for round 4.
Great looking rig! It was painful to see it tumble!
"DAMN/DAM"!!! I really thought you were going to beat that Damn Dam this time. Maybe dump some buckets of water or hose off the loose gravel or debris near the top, the day before your next attempt; unless you can get up there to sweep it. I'll definitely be waiting for round 4.
Well it did rain pretty good for 2 days before I attempted this so I don’t think there’s much debris on it. I am pretty sure there’s a groove that goes across there and I got stuck in it. I have to try a different line next time.
That dead bolt isn't dead yet and crawing back for more!!! Another good try pretty damn close to the top if I had to say!
Thanks. I did make it further up I feel. Hopefully new tires and taking a new line to the top, I’ll get there.
Still An epic climb bro 👊⭐🤙🔥
Thanks! Back to the drawing board.
Sick bash spot
Thanks! It’s my favorite spot for almost everything except flying. There’s trails and hills to jump on the other side and of course I do a lot of rc boating in the lake.
So close yet so far lol, Very nice though and minimal damage is good.
Thanks, I’ll take a few dollars of damage compared to what it could’ve been.
Makes for a cool series of attempts. Install a spring loaded grappling hook a mini winch for the last 20'. Use your drone's blade wash to sweep the area prior to #4.
Well it did rain pretty good 2 days prior so there probably wasn't much of any loose debris on there. I was looking at it a little closer from the footage and also just looking at the dam but there was some patch work done there in the past and I think that might be what caused me to lose grip. I am trying it at another spot where there was no work done at.
That was a nice catch!
Took a couple bruises from it cause it hit me pretty hard but I was able to hang on.
My heart missed some beats watching
Mine too when it started lifting on the front end. I knew it was over after that.
I hated to see it crash and burn but great video!!!
Thanks! I hope one day I can conquer this thing. It's harder than it looks.
That was really close already! Don’t give up hehehhe nice video 🔥
Btw what high clearance links are you using? I just got a deadbolt myself and was thinking about getting the gladiator links if they work. Cheers 🤘🏼
I'm using the Injora High Clearance Links. I have a link to everything on my build in the video description. I'm not going to give up. Once I get it all fixed up again, I'll be attempting again.
Looks like you just need to find the right line up and you will make it with the setup you got.
Setup is good. I’m changing tires for the next one. One of these times I’ll get it.

🤣
Man, I got nervous 😬 once you made to the spot you lost it last time. Is there a way to get more LCG and have you tried overdrive like 15%
I was honestly a bit nervous too when I got to where it started spinning. Im sure I can get more lcg but lcg wasn’t really the issue. I think there’s a groove that goes across at that spot and I couldn’t get out of it. I could try overdrive gears too. See if that does anything. I’m trying different tires next time. Going with the KR3’s.
Dam youuuu!
Deadbolt hurts. 👍😂😂😂
It’s all fixed again.
Damn Dam! Hahahahah the three wheel driving good times I drove home one time for 3 hours at 5 miles per hour wobbling like a horse until the rear flat spare wheel shredded off and the rim starting running like a train loudest thing ever marking the road with a while line then the rim folded on each side and had a hexagon shape till it started running smooth again 😂 had no other spares and I wasn't going to ruin my good stock rim then another day someone tboned that car I fixed the whole rear subframe and components the transmission was shot I ran brake pads down till they fell out on the road and popped my caliper piston seal leaked out all the brake fluid and all I could brake with is my parking brake bought brand new rotors and pads got too behind on payments trying to fix it all myself and manage life I had it semi running and then they repossessed it lol.The trouble is my car is my work Uber eats door dash etc.. I just got all that from watching the scx24 driving all injured it's called integrity 💪
That’s a pretty wild story. Yeah that dam keeps beating me. I’ll get up it one day.
Try the RC4WD patagonias, on that surface they will probably have the best grip
I just bought a pair of RC4WD KR3’s. I’ve also heard they provide a lot of grip on concrete. If they don’t work then I’ll try the Patagonia’s.
Haha you’re crazy. Just starting the video
Dam bro...
Tell me about it.
Dude you almost had it.. lol
@@JS-ji5bl so close. I tried again and had a little more success so maybe you should check that video out.
How’d you get the nose to keep down and not fall backwards
Low center of gravity. I have a lot of brass parts to give it some extra weight down low.
Tim btw after our conversation last night, I tallied how much I have in my Deadbolt. $290
I know I said $400 but it really feels like it.
Also how steep is the dam
That’s still a lot of money. It goes quick too. The dam is 50°
@@ReadytoRunRC mine should Be able to do it. Before I put the Injora Tires on it I believe I was doing 53degrees
Testing now
At 57degrees i start to lose traction. At 58degrees my frame starts to twist. At 59degree I begin to flip
@@rcxventures that’s awesome results! I’m not sure the max mine can get. I haven’t tested to see what the steepest angle it can do before it flips.
+1👍 OUCH 💪
Just a little boo-boo for the deadbolt. It hit me in the shoulder pretty hard when I caught it. I have marks from it.
Attempt #4???🙏✌️🤘
Check out my little guy on my channel. If you trim the cage and get rid of the phony lightbar, I think you'll have it.
If not, try a center limit strap for the front axle. Cinch it down tight, it will keep the nose from lifting.
Nice vid, have fun
The lcg isn’t really this issue here although I agree with your suggestions will help lower the center of gravity. It’s mainly maintaining grip the entire way up. I have a different set of tires on the way to try out. I’m also trying a different line next time. Thanks for checking out the video.
