Other kinds of global events that can deeply impact airlines are economic recessions/depressions and major volcanic eruptions too (that Icelandic volcano in April-time 2010 which grounded certain flights to North America. And, of course, Putin’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 where Russia and Ukraine grounded their airspace and closed their airports.
