Difference is, SAS is playing a character for our entertainment, Jerry knows he's rich and isn't playing especially since he knows that everyone was l around him bows at his feet it they'll be cut off.

This is how you Stephen and the panel of dorks on this show do no actual research before they say anything. Dallas' rookie center is being called a potential draft steal; he has sound technique, great size, and hes more athletic than Biadicz. They drafted an instinctive LB in the second in Marist Luafau and are getting back Overshown who ESPN called their potential defensive X-factor. Kid is shot out of a cannon and sheds blocks well. For the first time in 3 years they're gonna have 3 DT's over 300 lbs; thats called being committed to stopping the run which was their achilles heel. Also, show us a tiem where a Mike Zimmer defense WASN'T good. Everywhere MZ has gone hes had top defensive units.
Tyler Guyton was giving Max Crosby a run for his money and was standing tall against Parsons throughout camp; hes big and agile and has pretty solid hand technique. They have a QB who was all-pro and finished second in MVP votes and arguably the best WR in football.
Also, saying a team wont win the Super Bowl dosnt make you some sort of clairvoyant. Also, Dan showed a bunch of depth players that left lol terrible argument. They still have Diggs, Bland, Wilson, and Hooker in the secondary and they apparently drafted another potential Daron Bland in Caelen Carson.

Bro that was a good read. All facts no cap. We were close last year, just a few missing pieces. I think our biggest hindrance was Keleen Moore and Dan Quinn. The new Texas coast playbook is better than Moore's and Quinn's scheme was garbage. I believe he single handedly sabotaged our playoff run last year on purpose.
He had his best pass rusher dropping back in coverage on third and long. Trash play calling by both of them cost us playoff games. So now with the two Mikes calling plays and all the new pieces you mention, I believe Dallas is a sleeping giant. If I'm wrong, oh well, but if I'm not its going to be some sad faces on this show!

This is why I hate television. Dallas went 12-5 before Gilmore, Igbinoghene and Hankins got there. Kearse’s play was diminishing, Gallimore and Fowler Jr. were rotational pieces - all replaceable. Vander Esch hadn’t been healthy in years. Somehow, miraculously I guess, Dallas stumbled upon a 12 win record THREE STRAIGHT SZNs. Dan Orlovsky amongst others should stop talking football without facts.

The Cowboys didn’t lose anybody that wasn’t replaceable, the center wasn’t that good, Tyrone Smith is old and is not being paid 20 million, salaries based off incentives. Tony Pollard barely hit 1000 yards last season in 17 games and had a 3.9 average. 75% of the secondary is not gone, idk what that was about. I’m not saying the Cowboys are gonna win the Super Bowl, but this is still a 11 or 12 win team that potentially could lose their first playoff game. The only team that you can say potentially better are the 49ers.
Fast forward to after a 1st round playoff loss and you will be saying they lost their center, Tyron Smith, and Pollard so what can you expect? Saying Pollard barely cracked 1,000 is very silly. Quickly off the top of your head without looking it up how many RB's had over 1200 yards last season?

Cowboys sure did seem to look better on the road packing in a Browns team 33-17 that went deep in the playoffs last year.
Just because other teams over paid for the players Dallas didn’t need anymore doesn’t mean they’re worse this season than last year! Tyron Smith was consistently missing games due to injury. Tyler B was a pro bowl center in 2022 but in 2023 he somehow couldn’t run block to save his life. Tony Pollard didn’t look like same after his injury so he was let go. The secondary is still gonna be just as good with the players we had last year if not better. Do i believe what Jerry believes? Not until I see it! But again Dan O doesn’t know what he’s talking about so I’ll wait to see what happens!

I could see the Cowboys selecting Quinn Ewers to replace Prescott. They've tried this scrambling QB thing with Dak, Quincy Carter, and Anthony Wright, and it has never worked. Their last great QB was a fine pocket passer, Tony Romo. It's time to get back to their roots.

I'll be blasted for this. I'm hardly a Cowboys fan. But I'd like to see Jerry win another Super Bowl. The guy loves his team so much and wants to win so badly. The Cowboys aren't better by any stretch than last year. They didn't sign anyone significant to change the impact of the team and lost some players so imo they're worse or equally the same team

The team has not improved. We lost key players and no running game upgrade. Dallas won’t win 10 games
Stephen A is wrong. The cowboy offensive line improved by replacing a sinner who played poorly all season long. In the playoffs early on the center Miss numerous blocks. And he's done that for most of last season and in the replacement of him with his rookie things seem to have gotten better.
They did improve in a lot of areas, if you're a fan of the team. Yes, the off season wasn't flashy, it usually isn't. But I believe the RB room is better, the WR room, after the rust, will be better for sure, the Offense in general. The rookies drafted are looking well, I see the offense in the 2nd year, under Mike, as being better. The defense, got upgrades at LB, DE, and the corner position will be better, yes the team isn't perfect, but most teams aren't. We have toughness, and accountability with Mike Zimmer, on top of players playing the positions they should've been in the first place. We'll see how the season plays out. But I think the defense, will be ahead of the offense for a few weeks, as usual it seems with us. I'm looking forward to it

Mobile QB decent run game and a tight end that can make some plays in the offense
AFC teams with make up like the chiefs - Ravens , Texans , buffalo, Miami , Steelers, browns, raiders , jags only if Lawrence gets protection. NFC teams with make up like the chiefs - 49ers, packers ,eagles , cowboys , commanders , Cardinals , bears ,lions and falcons only if they get protection.

Dallas is either a wild card team or possibly the NFC East champs again depending on how the Eagles fair this season.. they could flop too like last year. Dallas secondary is better than Philly. Dak will light them up head to head. But Dallas can't stop the run so those games will be close ones.

I get the trepidation when it comes to the post season ofc with the cowboys but they aren't scrubs and imo they are closer to getting better than they are to falling off
