Something that's worked pretty well for me is using a glider to follow the rivers that run through this level. There's always several locked rooms jutting out into these water ways, and it's a lot easier to retrace your steps back to the elevator when you're ready to return. The bat glider works the best, but any glider with allow you to easily jump from lily pad to lily pad and avoid most of the monsters down there.

looks so stressful ... I've only been into the top level mine once since the update and it was a shitty experience. Found no rubies, spent a whole day in-game down there, to little avail, *eventually* found one treasure room that had no chest (but a ruby) and a long time later I found a 2nd one, same deal. Really, all that for a whole day of fighting devils and green crocs, being harassed by bats - and in the end I got swarmed by 10 bats that came out of nowhere and my bat zapper just exploded. Meh. I mean, I don't *have* to go down there, I don't need Berkonium or Unobtainium or Handwavium in order to plant and harvest a few spuds, plant some flowers, go fishing and chat with my mates. I appreciate the incredible amount of work, of labour of love as it were, that James has put in here, but it expands the game in a direction I don't particularly want to travel. I want to relax, not stress out. Definitely a pacifist at heart.
There is plenty in the blooming update for everyone. Bug catching, new flowers, New NPC and buildings. I like that you don't HAVE to go to the mines. I can't wait to see what's in the next update.
I usually eat 2 cooked croco meat and one Big fried egg... The big fried eggs give tons of stam and make your stam bar huge. Plus you get at LEAST 1 every day with just 1 chicken ( I have 6).
Excellent vid Dave. I think the Spinifex Resin tip is probably the least known so great to see you explain this. The cooked croc meat is really beneficial for how it extends your health bar which improves the chances of survival in the Deep mine & new Undergove mine. If only we all had Soho to come revive us when we die in the Undergrove, eh? Great content as always, much appreciated.
I've just started becoming a little better at deep mining...This is what I do so far with what I have... - I eat 1 Prime Meat, 1 Wattle Brew, and 1 Croc Meat. - I take 2 mining helmets, a chainsaw, a jackhammer, a bat zapper, a Battle Shovel, an Alpha bat, and a boogie board. - I pick a direction and just go until I find a treasure room. Some rooms seemed to take 4-6 keys and a few had no chests. On the way back to the elevator, I scoop up any mining nodes/marble. This is my strategy so far. I still haven't found a queen bee, so no honey yet. I've almost raised enough Permit Points for the brewing. The resin is for the helmet? I'll test and see. I'll leave the boogie board next time too...
Resin si for the helmet. It refills it automatically once it is empty so you don't need to take up a spot with an empty helmet halfway through the day. If you take a glider instead of a boogie board you can go down the rivers and find treasure rooms easily. They are common along the rivers, and the glider let's you go faster so you can get more rooms in a day. There are alot of food that help with health, combat and stamina and what we suggest is a guide as they are easy to get and make. If you are having trouble finding queen bees we have a guide in how to find them (TLDR just cut down a lot of hardwood trees, they have the best spwan rate for hives)

@@KD_Gentlemen Odd, I tried to go down into the mines with a helmet and 2 resins, and after a little while the helmet light went off. Resin all used up, it seems. Dunno. In my experience anyway, it is not an endless battery for helmets.
Very helpful thanks. As I’m someone who is yet to even take on fighting an alpha in the surface, I’m a long way from getting there. Basically, I’m a rubbish fighter. I can’t seem to get the timing or the moves right. Still hoping that you’ll produce that Noobs Guide to Fighting one day.
I do like the idea of the red brew for health regen. I still like the yellow for quicker mining/chopping and sausage rolls for attack buffs to kill most things in 2 shots with the battle shovel. I should just take 2 of those next time and not the flaming bat. I've been setting myself on fire attacking the spawners. I forgot about the Z view to peek in the rooms - need to use that to save keys since I've already got enough emerald for a while and need berkonium.
Are we able to break down the walls that block the path like the regular mine? I tired using my jackhammer and it doesn't work. If or when I obtain the improved jackhammer will it knock them down? Thank you for another awesome video! Cheers!

It recharges your mining helmet. You don't need to carry 2 helmets anymore as the resin will automatically be used to refils the helmet when it runs out and it clears up that inventory spot.
i have a question... i have noticed that u get charged now if u dont return the requests u npc ask u we didnt had that before and didnt heard anyone saying anything about that have u seen it too?
@@KD_Gentlemen i have the pic of it since james said we will lost dinks even if we have them on our inventory i dont carry any on me and when i took a request from franklin that i thought i had time to deliver it immediately i went from zero to - 3+k on my dinks numbers.... it would be worth to give it another try cause if that is the consequences for not filled the request at the begining is gonna be alot more difficult getting the shinnies to get what the new players gonna need it should be a warning of what will happened if we dont return on time with the item dont u think? ...still i love the game ohh and ty for replying i'll do more test about it i just was asking if u knew anything about it ty again..^^

Technically the walls are made of petrified wood. So chainsaw or axe will do the trick
