I do a lot of dirt biking alone, though I have never had any bad expediencies ... I have felt uncomfortable in a few areas and when I do get that feeling I leave immediately... I don't question it or think twice, I leave quickly

I know what you're talking about! One winter night, as a young woman, I left my house before 8 pm, darkness, to bring something to my neighbor, with only one house between us and 2 gardens. I immediately felt a feeling of doom, and hesitated half way, looking around. Nothing. I slowly started walking to my neighbors house again, and was almost there, when a car passed me by with a man staring at me. I felt alerted by his stare and walked into my neighbors property to drop my items at his house door. I waited for the car to pass by again, as I had seen him turning around at the end of the street, but he didn't. But upon leaving my neighbors house I saw the car had been waiting out of sight and the man jumped out and rushed towards me! I ran back to my neighbors door, rang the bell like crazy and banged at the door and then "acted", pretending to speak to him, even though he was not out yet, even pointing at the man, who then turned around on his heel and ran back to his car and drove off. I ran back home with my heart racing...my feeling was justified. I wish you to always be safe!

Ron Ronson. You are very wise to leave an area where you are not comfortable, very smart from your part to do so. The voice of your subconscious is telling you to get the hell out if there quickly and you do so, do it is very good. Be careful, be very aware of your surroundings and may God always be in the lookout for you. He will protect you and so your Guardian Angel. Thank you for sharing your story ....very interesting and scary.

Scouting teaches that you keep your car keys on you at all times. This is also said to be a regulation in many state parks (California). While it may seem to make sense, having keys at all times makes rescue or evacutation easier. This explains whay long time scouters park front end facing out.

I went up to the point a couple years ago in the middle of winter, the road was closed just up the road. I turned around and pulled into the parking lot there to snap a couple photos. It was extremely still and I had a weird feeling while I was there. I only lasted about 5 minutes before I had to get back in my car and get the hell out of there. One of strangest things that’s ever happened to me. Absolutely no sound, not even wind.

Lisa Andrews, Mr Paulides suggests the same connection. However that park is in the top 5 visited parks within the continental U.S. Over 4 million visited in 2018. No doubt the most popular National Park destination by visitors flying in from overseas, thus could we say we consequently relative numbers visited hence relative numbers of incidents. Throw in a couple crazy psychopathic predators ie of the human kind and whamo we got us a spot in Pallides book. Running low on water, food and motivation makes the mind a master of trickery a mind all alone in the middle of an unfamiliar hell. Some poor souls perish within a mile of a major walking trail so close to help but the mind gave up on that a long time ago. Pallides plays a numbers game, sure bizarre cases are out there, but realistically causation has more to do with mistakes coupled with overestimating ability, and less to do with the cryptid or alien abduction paradigms Paulides suggests by stealth during his presentations. Just another angle for you to consider thats all.

as a young girl in Germany, we vacationed in the beautiful black forest...a truly dense, black forest....I was picking blueberries in a meadow, on the etch of where the woods began...slowly I walked into the woods deeper and deeper...I could still see sunlight, and the blueberries here were enormous....when I straightened up from picking, I looked around me, and was overcome by a horrific, primordial feeling of mortal fear and dread...I started running as fast as I could to get out of the woods back to the meadow.....I have never forgotten that awful feeling, the way the trees seemed to loom over me, the absolute silence, and the horror I felt....the legend of the werewolf originated in these same dark woods a thousand years ago

What ever it was, it was pissed. I left the immediate area and when I came across my wife see saw the look on my face and asked 'what's wrong?' I replied nothing, and that I will wait for her outside the store. I looked back in the store and thought, what the hell was that? It wasn't until years later reading a ghost book that stated when in the presence of an evil entity everything I felt is what the book described. The only time I felt like that, and hopefully the last. true story

This was absolutely fascinating. I do videos on unsolved murders, however, this is something entirely NEW. When I was young, my parents took our family to many National Parks. I agree with you - there are strange forces in those places. Could they all be located on land with portals or gateways that evil entities can come through? Granite is between 20 & 60% quartz and quartz is a stone with a Piezoelectric quality - and it makes me wonder if granite or the type of stone in the parks offers any clues. I am going to do further research on this. I am thrilled that I found your channel!

I live in Galice Oregon which is a forest area on the Rogue River. I’ve been a back packer and camper for many years. I’ve heard sounds late at night in a steep mountain area behind my home which I cannot identify. I’ve heard and seen bear and mountain lions before. This sound was from a large creature from the deep tone and like a cross between human and animal. I’m well armed and didn’t feel inspired to see what it was, my usually brave German Shepherd dove under the bedding. It was Three AM in the dead of winter in pitch black darkness so there are very few people up here. Subsequently I don’t laugh at the Bigfoot stories anymore.

It’s truly something incomprehensible to humans and beyond our means of understanding. It’s something complex and that defies and goes against what we been taught of science, religion, and history. Defies all meaning of logic that’s why we our so lost and blind to what’s going on. What’s it is though, is malevolent and has no good intentions that’s obvious.

    • @williambock6975
      @williambock6975 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Rochelle White Yes they are indeed very sad and can be frightening as well. If you consider the amount of people who go missing in large cities which is let’s just say a whole heck of a lot more than the wilderness, when people DO go into the wilderness,it’s not hard to get lost ,especially if they’re not experienced or if they get hurt. Nature doesn’t care if you make it home safe. People generally do care tho. And there’s a ton of them in cities. Yet far more people go missing in urban areas even tho they’re surrounded by caring decent people. The mystery only lies in the lack of information about what happened to those who haven’t been located. But there’s not an endless amount of possibilities to consider. Basically the environment was more than they could cope with. Then after death the environment copes with their remains. Hike with a buddy and you’ll be less likely to be featured on this channel.

I've seen wildlife taken. Snatched and carried away.
Immediately lifted suspended in beak, claws or jaws.
Limbs flail uselessly. A brief vocal response might
occur as an airway is being crushed. Screams will
happen as prey is torn open. And if eaten alive.
Shock may deaden pain but not other senses.
In the end the deceased eye center turns cloudy
and white portion will turn gray. Muscles become
flaccid. People begins to pale. Algor mortis,
(first of 3 post-death conditions), cools the body.
About 2 hours into it the skin blotches into blue
patches. That merge in 5 or 6 hours. In 10 to
12 hours shin no longer blanched if pressed.
Other conditions mar speed or retard process.
But, blood beings to pool in the lower part of a
body. Feet, if upright, or head when inverted.
      Insect infestation occurs almost immediately.
Attracted by deathly odor. I've paid to study
and document death for criminal justice.

I live in Twain Harte, CA. We go backpacking to that lake and others up here. It's amazing, but sometimes you can feel something creepy. Don't go out there without a gun! It's so beautiful, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else! There are many other disappearances in this area over the years. Myself, abditgers from here who are forest rangers experience things. That sudden silence that happens and some weird energy you can feel. Hard to explain, you're just on high alert. There have been strange sounds at night, couple different ones. We've been around bear, mountain lions, bobcats, coyotes all the time. You get very familiar with their sounds, and presence. Your dogs will react about the same to each. That creepiness is unexplainable, the animals you're with react bizarrely to it also.

@J Anonymous some areas yes. We do in Yosemite, and yes that's illegal. That reason is for people like Cary Staynor! The biggest threat for certain is other people. We don't just shoot it have fun like that l, it's kept on us on long hikes or in the tent. Don't want to get murdered. Most folks around here keep one when you're way out there. We keep bear spray for animal and keep good far away. That sound that might was at Relief Reservoir, and after about 45 minutes of it getting more intense they fired a couple warning shots. The next night some hunters on the other side did the same thing. When we talked to them, they said it was terrifying and glad they had a gun. Not that that will stop something, but it helped.

The topography is UNBELIEVABLE there. Never have been there. Tracking would be a nightmare as for the Granite hard ground . All mixed with trees and millions of crevices, look to be an unlimited place of concealment. Someone could be lying 20 ft from you somewhere and you wouldn’t even know they were there. If they got disorientated or a bit lost, hurt etc, they could very easily go undetected. What the forest service needs in these areas are Indian trackers. I am not sure there are many trackers as good as the legendary ones , like the Apache trackers etc, but that is what the forest service needs. Those guys can track over barren ground. They know where a track begins and ends.

For years after the battle at Gettysburg, people would find remains of soldiers hidden in the crevices and cracks of Devil’s Den. That is not a big area, and the locals had made a huge effort to get rid of all the corpses for obvious reasons, but also antipathy. Southerners came years later to disinter their troops and bring them home. So I wonder how difficult it would be to find a body in such a vast, rocky area.

I remember deer hunting down from there off highway108 but above Strawberry one time. I was back in the woods by myself. I remember one time walking and the woods fell dead quiet, the birds stopped chirping and the area just got weird- I remember thinking it felt like I had entered some strange dimension or something. I can’t explain it. All of a sudden I looked over and about 7 very large rabbits were hopping around in the woods looking at me. They were white and huge like a pig and I’m like WTF? I didn’t even know rabbits this big existed in those mountains.
Anyways, besides that it was Erie back in there because I was hearing forest noises and the sounds just stopped and the area got bizarre in a way and then saw those damn rabbits. I decided not to progress any further just Incase these rabbits got crazy or went tommy-knocker on me or something and I had to blow them away with my rifle or 44 mag pistol. I didn’t want to murder these rabbits if they were just innocent creatures of the woods so I left to save myself from years of guilt from a massacre. Now that I’m watching this video I’m wondering if those rabbits were SOTR’s ( something other than rabbits)???
I’m glad I got outta there alive. I’ll never forget that.
True story...I am seriously not kidding. And I’m not trying to be funny even though it is in a way. I’ve been haunted by this though for many years

Thats another thing I wondered, if there are different dimensions out in the middle of nowhere like the woods, and therefore, alternate realities. You are very lucky you got out of there, maybe the missing people walked into another dimension and couldnt find their way back out.

    • @LD-ds8nn
      @LD-ds8nn 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@sky a Yeah it was just strange. I guess there are large rabbits in that area but it just didn't seem normal. And we had a cabin near that area in Pinecrest. I spent a lot of time in the woods alone as a kid (7-14 years old). I have had some other weird things happen like a cougar or something chased/ stalked me, weird lights in the woods, dogs acting peculiar. We had like 6 Doberman pinchers chase us up a tree and granite rock formation one time.
A little older I've seen some very odd aspirations in the woods. And one night confronted by a craft of some type face to face. That scared me to death honestly. And then I endured health problems I still deal with to this day at 55 years old after that incident. I think I was exposed to something that gave me psoriasis really bad all over my body. I ended up having to go to UCSF for a month of treatment with a specialist that basically asked me if I was exposed to some chemical or something

@sky a And as a side note....I love the woods. After years of long backpacking trips, gold panning/dredging expeditions, camping, shooting up in the woods, hunting...
      And those weird incidents....
I just don't go into the woods like I used to. I used to teach compass reading as I was very good at maps and coordinates. I miss it but remember the contests we used to have. We would spend 8 hour days reading compasses and maps. I would always win against like 30 people competing. I was really good in the woods. I know when something isn't right. And I grew up around airplanes. I know Aviation pretty good. What I saw wasn't of this world

I always come to think of the old folklore tales about when people would walk in to fairy world, have a fabulous time there for what would feel for them like a few hrs, and then come back to this normal world where so much time has passed that in some cases their whole families had died. There was one case in particular in England about such an event, written down in local history books. English, Irish and Scottish folklore is full of these tales.
It is a strange world indeed. There's more things we don't know than what we do know. That's my personal view.

We had a cabin in Pinecrest for many years. I spent so much time in Pinecrest Behind the lake hiking Up near Cleos Bath, the Strawberry area, Clark’s Fork, Kennedy Meadows, Alpine- Utica Lake, Horseback around Dodge Ridge and above Kennedy Meadows. I can’t remember all the strange things I’ve seen but remember several...
Running into strange packs of dogs at night and during the day, being chased by a cougar one time I think it was. Seeing lights and weird crafts at night.
I know Donnel Vista...Ive been there several times. I remember stories from 40 years ago...
I grew up in those areas. I lived in Tuolumne City for awhile too...
I guess I was lucky because I was out in those areas at night by myself several times.
We used to go on 3 week backpacking trips in the immigrant way up there...
I remember teaching people how to read a compass and finding coordinates, I was so good at that.

Has ground-penetrating radar ever been used around these disappearances? It seems usually happens around granite boulder fields. Just maybe there are tunnels lava tubes etc. with a boulder entrance. A boulder that could be moved away, and moved back?

    • @MrSpanks
      @MrSpanks 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Tim T - I was thinking along those lines - concealed entrance to a habitable chamber etc.
I might be wrong but I don't think ground penetrating radar would be very suitable. It generally requires flat open ground to analyse from which it creates a sub-ground level image and it's a slow process. Maybe the latest tech is more productive / maybe in the future.... But in the meantime, a search can be conducted to find any hidden entrances etc

One interesting factor in two of the four cases is the common denominator of a missing camera. Most likely in those cases, the missing person tried to take a photograph of something and had a misstep or error in footing and fell somewhere or chased something and had an mishap. It cannot be stressed enough that a super-duper picture of nature is not worth a life, and even if the equipment is on hand to take a good picture, a life still isn't worth it. Based on the description of the area, the reservoir looks mighty inviting and deceptively close, dangerously so. No fish or cool swim is worth that hazardous of a journey (pertains to the case of the missing fisherman and maybe the the other man who vanished). A good Netflix movie to watch is Searching (on DVD).

When Nita went missing (2005) the single chest-high steel pipe barrier by the lone tree was probably still there. She probably fell nearby and tumbled down the slope. The plaque on the bench is in her memory.
The fisherman was nowhere near the overlook. Probably drowned in the Stanislaus, unfortunately. By the way, it's pronounced too-WOLL-a-mee and dar-dun-NELL (that's how I heard them said, anyway).

Rusty, thank you for your review of these dissapearances. I am familiar with the Stanislaus Natiinsl Forest as well as the area north of there at Hell's Kitchen, another lookout point no more than 5-7 miles north as the crow flies along SR-4 to Bear Valley and Lake Alpine. The views are fantastic. One can really get absorbed in exploring granite rock formations and outcroppings. I have taken videos of the area on my channel, I've posted them from 2016,2017, 2018, 2019. I have hiked around the Stanislaus Forest at Carson-Iceberg Wilderness around Elephant rock, and have kayaked in Union Lake. Also I do occasional bipedal cryptid structure exploration, as well as camping out. I have never negotiated the area solo. I always hike with at least one person, and sometimes 3-4 in a group. I usually always carry a firesrm for some protection, plus enough lightweight provisions and water to survive 2-3 days and a thermal blanket and a gps locator. It's in case I run into trouble while hiking and having to call for help. I do not know why tourists get so cavalier6 when they travel alone. They even left their keys and purse and brought only a camera. Even just walking a measly quarter mile, enough to be out of visibility of the road or another group of tourists can be deadly for the unprepared. There are mountain lions, black bears, snakes, and the possibility of running into a rogue Sasquatch. Personally their are "the others" that are in forested areas. Those are what I would be mostly cautious of. I do believe they live in rock caves, and I have actually had the experience of doing some exploring with a lady friend of mine that was almost lured to a squared out cave. She was about 50 yards behind me. I didn't know she was lagging. Had she gotten any closer to the cave, she might have disappeared from the area. She took a photo and caught up to me and we looked at the shot. We couldn't believe the creature we saw in the cave. When we went back to find where the cave was an hour later. It just disappeared. Lucky I still have the photo. I swear it looked like a demon pointing to her to come closer.. So freaking weird!!!

Interesting story and sounds like a very creepy experience. It would be cool to see the photo if that is a possibility.

One thing I noticed right away was the tiny sand like granules on top of rocks so any steep drop off no way to stop sliding down with miniature marbles underfoot even with trail shoes on. Best to stay on area's and not cross over rails or off trail very dangerous.

I travel a few times a year from Nevada over to the Central Valley. Darnell Vista is a place I like to stop at, stretch, go to the bathroom.
It’s an easy, paved trail of 1/4 mile out to the overlook. I’ve never had a creepy feeling at the vista.
The trail doesn’t go near any dangerous drop offs. You’d have to throw yourself off to fall.
During the summer months when these disappearances happened, there is quite a bit of traffic in the area. I would think a serial killer would want a more isolated spot to hunt.
Columns of the Giants is just a little ways away and attracts a lot of visitors. Kennedy Meadows is one of the big rest and resupply hubs on the PCT. So, this is not a seldom visited remote area.
It is quite a mystery what happened to these folks. The next time I stop there I’ll tuck my pistol behind my back before I walk down to the overlook!

I used to visit Donnell Vista regularly during photography expeditions to the Sonora Pass area. I hiked many lonely trails and never felt threatened or in danger. I did, however notice a few furtive individuals who appeared to be living in the area. I had the feeling that they would happily loot any isolated camp site and wondered how they survived the winters up there. ( I saw a couple of them several times in different years.)

BTW I've camped all around donell vista as well as snowboarded the backcountry. I've done serious backpack trips in upper Yosemite near the tioga pass. Never have I ever experienced anything odd. Nothing but sublime nature and the sounds of the creatures that live there.

It is also weird that while doing a thorough search of any of the disappeared people in any of the parks no other previous missing people are being found.
